Elsewhere the world turns hard. Trump sent a last warning to Hamas to free the hostages or take consequences. About 50 hostages remain, 20 alive. US-Israel talks stall; Witkoff says a deal to free 10 existed weeks ago. The IDF broadens Gaza operations as civilians are told to evacuate.

Israel's High Court ruled the state failed Palestinian prisoners a basic diet and ordered steps to fix nutrition, in a 2-1 decision rebuking Itamar Ben Gvir. The majority said on-paper standards matter only with on-ground action; one judge dissented. Verifiable, adequate rations were to be provided.
