GB News: Trans people 'to face changing room ban in schools and exclusion from single-sex sports'
Trans people 'to face changing room ban in schools and exclusion from single-sex sports'
Public service providers in the UK will soon receive guidance from the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) instructing them to ban transgender women from single-sex spaces, including toilets and changing rooms. The guidance will apply to all organizations serving the public, and it is anticipated to clarify that excluding trans individuals from certain facilities will not be considered discrimination.

The guidance follows a Supreme Court ruling affirming that "woman" is a biological term. It will allow service providers to request birth certificates to verify gender and may permit exclusion of trans individuals in specific circumstances. Trans campaigners have expressed outrage, threatening legal action over potential human rights violations.
