In Minneapolis, a gunman walked into the Annunciation Church during Mass and opened fire. Two children were killed, eighteen were wounded. He died by suicide after firing 116 rounds.

Notes found in his diary show attack plans. The motive is unclear. The FBI treats it as domestic terrorism and a hate crime.

In Sana’a, Yemen, the Houthis say prime minister Ahmed al-Rahawi was killed in an Israeli strike on an apartment. A second raid hit senior leaders outside the capital.

Defense minister Muhammad al-Attafi and the chief of staff, Muhammad al-Ghamari, were targeted; Israel has not confirmed.

The attacks are described as the 16th on the Houthis.
