A federal judge in Texas halted a program by the Biden administration that offered legal status to undocumented immigrants married to U.S. citizens. This decision came in response to a challenge from 16 Republican attorneys general claiming the program was unconstitutional. 

The stay will remain in effect for at least 14 days. While applications can still be submitted, approvals are now blocked. 

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton heralded the ruling as a victory, signaling that legal challenges against the program would continue.
