In biblical times, Jephthah was an outcast who became a war leader and saved his people. Similarly, "savior generals" throughout history were unconventional leaders who won battles but faced hardships afterward. Donald Trump, like Jephthah and these generals, was an outsider who won against all odds in 2016, but his success has since waned. Now, Trump's battle lies in the courts, fighting against the perversion of American government and the criminalization of political opposition. Though his personal flaws may hinder him, Trump's fight is crucial for preserving democracy and free speech.
