Ron DeSantis aims to reposition himself as an ally of Trump, while Vivek Ramaswamy hopes to paint himself as a defender of the former president. Nikki Haley wants to distance herself from Trump and offer a return to the GOP of the past, and Mike Pence seeks to rehabilitate his reputation. Tim Scott runs on a positive campaign, Chris Christie plans to attack Trumpism, and Doug Burgum aims to stand out. Asa Hutchinson hopes to be the leading anti-Trump voice.

Our ruling class responded to the election of Trump and Brexit by trying to monitor and control the will of the people through censorship. The Anglosphere Surveillance State gave birth to the Censorship Leviathan, an extensive network of agencies and nonprofits that flagged posts and accounts the government wanted removed from social media. The Censorship Leviathan grew during COVID, censoring those who challenged pandemic policies. The FBI also pressured social media companies to censor Americans on behalf of foreign intelligence agencies, including the Ukrainian SBU. The government also monitored Americans' behavior through phone location data and engaged in unauthorized digital surveillance. The Surveillance State and the Censorship Leviathan are two beasts that must be reined in to restore freedom of speech and thought.
