A 6.1-magnitude quake struck Sindırgı, Balıkesir. Buildings toppled, residents were trapped. Four were rescued, two were missing. Seven aftershocks followed; tremors were felt in Manisa, İzmir, Uşak and Bursa. AFAD activated the disaster plan and sent crews.
