The incident sparked outrage. Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister has initiated an inquiry into the airport personnel's conduct, calling the situation "outrageous." The ground services provider defended the staff, stating they must enforce baggage rules set by the airline. 

Ryanair has faced criticism for allegedly incentivizing staff to report oversized bags, raising questions about the fairness of enforcement.
