Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and other members of the Senate Republican leadership team have remained silent on the matter.
PJ Media: Coincidence? Trump Indictment Drops Same Day Biden Bribery Docs Revealed

Vivek Ramaswamy warned that the country is devolving into a banana republic, while Chris Christie urged caution until the indictment is officially unsealed. Mike Pence and Nikki Haley have yet to comment.
The Epoch Times: 'Unmitigated Gall': Senator Rejects Minister's Call to Pass Liberal Guns Bill Quickly
Minister Marco Mendicino is facing opposition from senators as he attempts to pass the Liberals' gun legislation, Bill C-21, into law. The bill aims to turn a national handgun freeze into law, ban homemade guns and "assault-style" weapons. However, critics argue that the legislation is a misplaced effort to combat gun violence that could target commonly used hunting rifles. Conservative Senate leader Don Plett plans to vote against the bill and try to block it from passing, saying he feels it punishes firearms users and is not a bill he can support.
Breitbart: Nancy Mace on Classified Docs Indictment: Biden Just Secured Trump's Nomination in 2024

Mace believes that Joe Biden has just secured Trump's nomination for Republicans in 2024.
Red State: Moore to the Point - Eye Spy
The recent House Intelligence hearing was calm and cordial, a stark contrast to most hearings of late. The Weaponization subcommittee investigates alleged abuses of governmental authority, which is cause for concern given what we've learned about the FBI's focus and tactics. A recent Cato Institute study found that three in 10 Americans under 30 support the installation of surveillance cameras in every household to reduce illegal activity, making it difficult to push back against government weaponization.
The Epoch Times: Trudeau Foundation Chair Says He Wasn't Aware of Chinese Investments Made with Gov't Endowment
The Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation invested some of its $125 million endowment from the Canadian government into Chinese companies Tencent and Baidu. Former Mayor of Iqaluit and former member of the Foundation’s finance and investment committee, Madeleine Redfern, raised concerns about this, and the Foundation’s Chair, Edward Johnson, was questioned by the Standing Committee on Public Accounts. Johnson said that the Foundation first learned about the investments two years ago, and it sold them after discovering that it held them. Redfern told the Commons ethics committee she found privacy issues with Tencent and Baidu. The Trudeau Foundation uses “environmental policies, social policies, and governance policies” to ensure ethically sound investments, Johnston added, though they didn't previously know that Tencent and Baidu were part of their portfolio.
Breitbart: Mark Levin: Trump Indictment Is an 'Insurrection,' It is Election Interference
Fox News' Mark Levin condemned the criminal case against former President Donald Trump, referring to it as an "insurrection" and election interference by the Biden administration and the Democrats. Levin accused them of wanting one-party rule and using the Department of Justice and the FBI to achieve it. Levin called it a "disgusting disgrace" and a "war on Trump" and the Republican Party.
The Blaze: 'We don't have a Republic anymore': Republicans react to Trump indictment; suggest it is an attempt to 'preemptively steal the 2024 election'
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on seven counts for his alleged mishandling of classified documents, including false statements, conspiracy to obstruct, and a charge under the Espionage Act. Trump's attorney, Jim Trusty, called the charges "ludicrous." The indictment has caused concern among Republicans, legal experts, and other observers who believe that the Biden administration is attempting to undermine Trump as his leading political challenger in the 2024 presidential election. Those who oppose the indictment argue that the timing is suspicious, given Biden's own history of mishandling classified materials.
Republicans have reacted with outrage to Trump's indictment, describing it as an attempt to clear the political field for President Biden ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) suggested that Merrick Garland, the attorney general, has weaponized the Department of Justice against Biden's political enemies. Other Republicans, including Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), have condemned the indictment as an attack on democracy and the rule of law. Legal experts like Alan Dershowitz have also expressed skepticism about the indictment, arguing that the case against Trump must be airtight and extremely serious to justify indicting the likely nominee of the opposition party.

Liberty Nation: Woke Climate Alliance on the Run From Red State Attorneys General
Almost two dozen Republican State Attorneys General have made the UN-backed Net-Zero Insurance Alliance disappear by sending them a letter warning that they could be violating US antitrust laws. The conglomerate organisation, which assesses business practices and performance in sustainability and ethical issues, saw 14 of its members including $1tn insurance juggernaut Allianz, Tokio Marine Holdings, Lloyd’s of London and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance drop out. The AT collective went after several UN-sponsored players in environmental, social and corporate governance, after stating that agreements that demand not doing business with sectors that don’t fall in lockstep with the ESG program could be downright illegal .
The Net-Zero Asset Managers Initiative and the Net Zero Bankers Alliance formed to “accelerate the transition to a net-zero emissions economy” and incorporated ESG principles into their corporate governance by making sure banks prioritise funding green initiatives. The movement was blasted by Andrew Moran who explains that by “placing profit second, the BlackRock CEO even says that the private sector can ‘force behaviours’ by nudging clients, investors, or companies into the ESG direction.’ The American AGs got the Net-Zero Insurance Alliance, which had inserted the UN’s woke policies into the insurance industry, to vanish and accusations of potential violations of antitrust laws scattered even the largest of insurance providers worldwide .

Despite monetizing his experience in his book, The Daddy Diaries, and enjoying being a father, he experienced loneliness and vulnerability as the only single and gay parent at his son's nursery. Cohen's experience highlights the cultural shift towards enforced parenthood and raises questions about the natural rights of children to know both their biological parents.
Forbes: If Children’s Privacy Bills Are Going To Make Surveillance Worse Maybe We Should Just Ban Smartphones Altogether
Over 95% of teenagers have access to smartphones with social media, leading to a surge in depression and anxiety rates linked to excessive social media use. Cyberbullying experiences have also contributed to psychological distress and decreased self-esteem. More than 40 laws across 22 US states are active in the pursuit of child privacy rights and protections, with California, Utah, Arkansas and Louisiana having already passed Acts to protect minors. However, concerns have been raised about the intrusion as a result of demanding sensitive identification information from minors and profiling them. One solution offered is the banning of the sale of smartphones to children under the age of 18 to protect them from addiction and reduce increases in familial well-being and depression rates among youth.

Forbes: Texas Rangers’ Offense Has Been Historically Efficient....And Pretty Lucky
The Texas Rangers are a surprising success story of the 2023 baseball season, sitting atop the AL West with a record of 40-21 despite being overshadowed by the Tampa Bay Rays. While their revamped starting rotation has received attention, their offense has been the key to their success, leading the league in batting average and ranking fourth in slugging percentage. However, it is their historic situational hitting, with a record-breaking baserunner scoring percentage of 48.55%, that sets them apart from even the most powerful offensive teams in modern baseball history. Despite unsustainable clutch hitting, the Rangers have already secured 40 wins and appear to be strong playoff contenders.

Fox News: North Carolina gives final approval to Farm Act with limits on wetland protections
The North Carolina General Assembly has approved the Farm Act which includes exemptions for compost sales tax and wetland protection limits. The bill is expected to be signed into law by Democratic Governor Roy Cooper. Under the new provisions, the state cannot adopt stricter conservation measures than federal law, potentially leading to wetlands being open for development. Critics say that the bill could result in millions of acres of crucial flood and pollution-absorbing wetlands losing protections. The bill also limits monetary penalties for cutting down timber near bodies of water and requires state regulators to give veterinarians at least a week’s notice before an inspection.
