Daily Wire: Famed Attorney Dershowitz Blasts DOJ, Bragg Over Trump Investigations
Alan Dershowitz criticized ongoing investigations into former President Trump, arguing for consistent standards of law enforcement. Trump was indicted on charges related to handling classified documents, but not for spying. Dershowitz emphasized that both sides of the political spectrum should be subject to the same level of investigation and that the criminal justice system should not be used to influence political elections. He also noted that individuals have the constitutional right to fight allegations against them, but not to obstruct justice. The consensus for criminality is not currently widespread, Dershowitz added.
Breitbart: Trump Reacts to Indictment, Vows to Fight: 'I'm An Innocent Man'
Former President Trump released a defiant video on Truth Social, vowing to fight a pending indictment over allegedly classified documents. He claims to be an innocent man and called the charges against him a hoax. Trump accused Democrats of weaponizing the Justice department and FBI to stop his chances of winning the elections.
Red State: Biden Bribery Scandal Expands, Comer to be Briefed on Two Additional FD-1023 Forms
Two more FD-1023 forms related to the Biden bribery scandal have been revealed, according to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, with Rep. James Comer set to review them next week. The forms will provide more testimony evidence from confidential sources. Subpoenas of bank account records and wire transfer records are also being issued to uncover evidence of payment directly to Biden or immediate family members.
Fox News: Pro-Trump PAC ad aims to spotlight 'Biden's corruption' after Trump indicted over classified documents
Former President Trump's super PAC, MAGA Inc., plans to highlight President Biden's handling of classified documents through a new advertisement. The advertisement features a montage of news clips relating to Biden’s investigation over classified documents, with the narrator accusing Biden’s DOJ of going after Trump to block him from becoming president again. MAGA Inc. told Fox News that the commercial will begin running on national cable news networks soon and is part of the super PAC’s existing ad buy.
The attorneys representing former President Trump confirmed that on Thursday evening, he was indicted on federal charges involving obstruction of justice, conspiracy, and illegal retention of classified government material. He has been ordered to appear in federal court in Miami where he faces at least seven counts of criminal charges. Trump posted on his Truth Social platform that he is "an innocent person" and accused the Biden administration of being "TOTALLY CORRUPT." He also attempted to equate the investigation of his handling of classified documents with the one into Biden. However, aides to the president argue that Biden’s case differs because he allowed federal authorities to search his properties for additional materials and promptly returned the classified documents.

The Federalist Papers: Another Iconic American Restaurant Chain Goes Totally Woke, Will Cracker Barrel Get the Bud Light Treatment
In a controversial move, Cracker Barrel celebrated Pride Month with a rainbow-colored rocking chair, sparking concern about the company's commitment to its traditional customer base. The "inclusive" sentiment has been criticized by actress Colette Harrington and others who question the company's adoption of left-wing ideologies and fear that corporate cowardice has replaced respect for customer values. Critics point to the Corporate Equality Index, a scoring system from the Human Rights Campaign measuring companies' adherence to woke ideologies, as a factor driving companies to prioritize the demands of the intolerant left over customer satisfaction.

The Epoch Times: Chinese Ships Enter Japanese Waters, Prompts Tokyo to Protest
Chinese naval and coast guard vessels have entered Japanese waters at two separate locations: the Senkaku Islands and Yakushima Island. Surveying activities in other countries' waters are forbidden under international law, but vessels are allowed to pass through other countries' waters as long as they don’t pose a threat to the country's security and order. Japan's coast guard subsequently sent patrols near the Chinese vessels to deter them from remaining in Japanese waters, and the Japanese government later lodged complaints at China via diplomatic channels. The Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea have mostly been administered by Japan since 1895, but Beijing began asserting its rights over the islands in the 1970s.
Red State: WikiLeaks' Julian Assange One Step Closer to Extradition, His Fate and Press Freedom Hang in Balance
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's latest legal appeal has been rejected, leaving him dangerously close to extradition to the United States. The UK court judge dismissed all eight of Assange's grounds against extradition. His legal team plans to make a renewed appeal, however, only one option remains within UK courts. If convicted, Assange faces a combined sentence of 175 years in prison. The appeal argues the extradition request is erroneous and he is being prosecuted for protected speech. The charges against Assange have caused concern among his family, legal team and advocates for press freedom.

The Epoch Times: GM Will Join Tesla's EV Charging Network, Making It the De Facto Industry Standard
GM will adapt its electric vehicles to Tesla's Supercharger network, making Tesla's charging ports the North American industry standard. This move follows Ford Motor Co.'s similar agreement with Tesla last month. Starting in 2024, GM EVs will use an adapter to recharge at Tesla's 12,000 Superchargers in North America, eliminating the need for an adapter by 2025. The deal is likely to prompt other car manufacturers to do the same, further cementing Tesla's charging ports as the sole industry standard.

Forbes: China Will Exploit Guam’s Struggle To Recover From Typhoon Mawar
Guam's slow recovery from Typhoon Mawar is worrying for military strategists, as the remote island is a crucial part of US security in the Western Pacific and could be a potential target for Chinese societal manipulation, cyber attacks, or military assaults. The island is still struggling two weeks after the typhoon, with over half of Guam's electrical customers without power, half the population lacking water, and patchy internet connectivity making it a cash-only enterprise. The recovery is also causing delays in station assignments, undermining national security efforts.

Daily Wire: Trump, DeSantis Shocked By Bombshell Daily Wire Investigation Into Transgender Healthcare Providers
Former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis both expressed outrage over the Daily Wire’s undercover investigation into the healthcare providers Plume and Folx, who appear to be approving life-altering sex-change operations for insurance reasons. Trump and DeSantis' spokespeople say that their candidates will fight the radical transgender craze, and Trump has a plan to combat the sickness. The investigation revealed that it was easy to get approved for sex-change surgery when producer Gregg Re was sent for testicle removal after a 22-minute virtual appointment with Plume, who said Re had significant gender dysphoria.
DeSantis’s spokesman cited his opposition to radical gender procedures being performed on minors and said that the Florida board of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine are currently working on rules to guard against predatory practice. Former Vice President Mike Pence and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley also voiced their opposition to transgender surgeries for minors. This summary falls under the hashtag.

The Epoch Times: Judge Weighs Challenge to Gag Order in University of Idaho Killings
Bryan Kohberger, charged with killing four University of Idaho students, faces arguments over a gag order that limits contact between attorneys and news reporters. Over 30 media organisations are contesting the order, stating it violates the Constitution's pledge of free speech and free press. Kohberger's lawyers argue the order is required to prevent biased news coverage that could affect the defendant's right to a fair trial. Kohberger faces four first-degree murder charges and burglary following the deaths of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin, who were found at a rental home across from the University of Idaho campus.
Law enforcement, attorneys, and other associates are barred from communicating with the press about the case unless they are quoting a court document due to the judge's nondissemination order. In April, the Idaho Supreme Court refused to revoke the order, determining that the news organisations should have first asked the lower court to lift it. However, the Supreme Court did not look into whether the gag order was a violation of the First Amendment. The news organisations have now requested that the order be lifted, stating that while they recognize Kohberger's right to a fair trial, there is no evidence claiming their conversation with involved attorneys would infringe on his rights.

The Epoch Times: Google Launching 'News Showcase' Licensing Program in US Next Month
Google is launching its "News Showcase" product in the US this summer, partnering with over 150 news publications, including local or regional outlets, as well as global and national publications like Reuters, the Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press. The tech giant has already invested $1bn in the news aggregation service, which will allow readers to access a limited amount of paywalled stories, and encourage them to subscribe. Google is not releasing details about payment amounts to publishers.
The program comes as governments in multiple countries are passing or considering legislation that will require tech giants, including Google and Facebook, to pay for news content. In addition to New Showcase, Google is launching new partnerships with five news associations to provide financial grants and training to nearly 1,000 US-based local publications, and updating Google News to help local publications appear more frequently on the platform.
