The Federalist: Second Trump Indictment Is Proof Of Two-Tiered Justice System
Second Trump Indictment Is Proof Of Two-Tiered Justice System
Former President Donald Trump was indicted for mishandling classified documents, making him the first former President to be arraigned over federal charges. He criticized the indictment as a partisan ploy for election interference. Meanwhile, multiple locations nationwide contained classified documents marked from President Biden's time as Vice President. Despite his own scandal, Biden and his family remain untouched by justice, highlighting the divide of the two-tiered justice system in America.

Espionage Act: What To Know About The Century-Old Law Trump’s Being Charged Under
Donald Trump is expected to be indicted for violating the Espionage Act, along with other charges such as obstruction, false statements, and likely conspiracy. The indictment, set to be unsealed on Tuesday, will focus on the willful retention of documents, according to Trump's attorney Jim Trusty. Violations of this act include punishment by a fine or a prison sentence of up to 10 years. Many of the most high-profile prosecutions under the Espionage Act have been for people who have leaked information including Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Daniel Ellsberg and Edward Snowden.

The indictment against Donald Trump remains unclear, as the indictment has still not been unsealed and it is not yet known exactly what the government will allege regarding his violations of the law. Legal experts note that it is possible the government could bring charges against Trump under the Espionage Act for communicating or transmitting national defense materials to other people. The Espionage Act does not specify that materials must be classified in order for the law to have been violated. This case will mark the first time a former president will be charged with a federal crime.

American Thinker: A sex-addicted regime
A sex-addicted regime
The Biden gang is driven by sex addiction, willing to sacrifice the country for their kicks. Hippocrates warned against excess, but society repeats the same mistakes. Sexual decadence leads to collapse, and corrupt regimes watch and celebrate America's decline. The rainbow flag only has one color – the Yellow Jack. Neglected children do not thrive, and adults who betray their trust belong in the Democrat party. It's time to move out of the centers of infection and check out Texas.

The Federalist: DOJ Indicts Trump Over Classified Documents Squabble
DOJ Indicts Trump Over Classified Documents Squabble
The DOJ has reportedly indicted former President Donald Trump for allegedly mishandling classified documents, while the same week news broke that President Joe Biden was allegedly involved in a multimillion-dollar bribery scheme during his time as vice president. The FBI had raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in August in an attempt to retrieve “any document Trump ever saw, read, or created for the entirety of his four years as commander-in-chief.” Trump stated in his Truth Social posts that he is “an innocent man” and it’s “a DARK DAY for the United States of America.”

House Republicans gained access to a long-withheld FBI document allegedly showing that then-Vice President Biden took part in a criminal bribery scheme with an executive at Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company where Biden’s son Hunter sat on the board. As The Federalist’s Senior Legal Corresponded Margot Cleveland has detailed, a “trusted” and “highly credible” confidential human source told the FBI about an alleged “agreement by now-President Biden to deliver preferred foreign policy positions for a $5 million payment.” Trump stated that the Biden administration is “totally corrupt” and that the revelation is “election interference & a continuation of the greatest witch hunt of all time.”

AI-Generated Chaos: DeSantis Campaign Raises Eyebrows with Provocative Trump Attack Ad
The Ron DeSantis campaign has released a Donald Trump attack ad featuring AI-generated images of the former President hugging and kissing Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Chief Medical Advisor to the President. The text above the images reads “REAL LIFE TRUMP,” raising ethics concerns and defamation lawsuits. The DeSantis campaign appears unfazed by the backlash, even joking about it on Twitter. AI-generated images are expected to become increasingly common in political advertising ahead of the 2024 presidential race, with little regulation or disclosure to voters.

Column: CNN's Mostly False Take on Biden's Stance on Abortion
CNN host falsely claims Biden's stance on abortion; Tapper retracts accurate statement. CNN's past falsehoods raise the question of what to do when a host or politician says something untrue. Biden's position is unequivocally pro-abortion until viability, and his endorsement by Planned Parenthood supports this. CNN should be fact-checked in real time.

Fox News: Nevada recognizes Juneteenth as state holiday
Nevada recognizes Juneteenth as state holiday
Nevada has made Juneteenth a state holiday, following in the footsteps of Texas, New York, Virginia, and Washington. Republican Gov. Joe Lombardo signed the bill into law, which elevates the June 19 holiday from a day of observance to a state holiday. The celebration marks the day when the last enslaved people in the United States learned they were free, after news of the abolition of slavery reached Galveston, Texas, in 1865. This move continues Nevada’s long and proud history of supporting civil rights.

Don’t Erase the Anglo-Saxons
Cambridge University's Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic plans to teach students that identities like Anglo-Saxon are "constructed and contingent" as part of its 'anti-racist' campaign. The university is also hoping to "dismantle the basis of myths of nationalism" concerning its study of Anglo-Saxon history. Although the term "Anglo-Saxon" has been used by some to make racist arguments, it is a term that many recognize and is an essential piece of English history.

American Thinker: From 'gay' to 'queer'
From 'gay' to 'queer'
The battle for LGBTQ+ rights has gone beyond same-sex marriage, with the rise of "queerism" seeking to erode traditional values. "Pride" events featuring men dressed as nuns and drag queens dancing in front of children are seen as attacks on religion and society. This ideology is a bridge too far for most Americans, rejecting their values and seeking to change society at any cost.

Fox News: Whatever happened to... Syria's civil war?
Whatever happened to... Syria's civil war?
The war in Syria is not officially over, but fighting has decreased since a cease-fire was agreed upon by Turkey and Syria's rebel-held northwestern region in March 2020. There are now three different Syrias, each controlled or influenced by Russia and Iran, the United States, and Turkey, respectively.

Most of Southern Syria is now controlled by President Bashar al-Assad's government with support from Russia and Iran. The U.S. began assisting Syrian rebels in 2014 to defeat the Islamic State, and around 900 troops are still based in Syria to support the Syrian Democratic Forces. Arab countries recently welcomed Assad back into their alliance, but the U.S. has not normalized relations with his regime, and there are reports that he may be preparing to use chemical weapons once again against his own people.

High Court Rejects WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange's Appeal Against Extradition to US
Julian Assange has lost his appeal against extradition to the United States on espionage charges. The High Court rejected all eight grounds for appeal. Assange, wanted on 18 criminal charges of breaking an espionage law and conspiring to hack government computers, faces up to 175 years in prison. Supporters claim his prosecution is an attack on free speech. Assange's wife, Stella, tweeted that the matter will proceed to a public hearing before two new judges at the High Court and they remain optimistic that he will not be extradited to the United States.

American Thinker: Sales tax tourism
Sales tax tourism
Illinois is losing tax revenue as residents cross state lines to buy cheaper goods and marijuana. Missouri, which legalized recreational marijuana in January, is benefiting from Illinois' high taxes. Even dispensaries in Eastern Illinois see a quarter of their customers from neighboring states, while many border towns have economic activity larger in the town outside of Illinois. Sales tax tourism is a growing trend, but Illinois' high tax cheerleaders in Springfield seem oblivious to the issue.

Forbes: Inside Costco’s Billion-Dollar Bet On $4.99 Rotisserie Chickens
Inside Costco’s Billion-Dollar Bet On $4.99 Rotisserie Chickens
Costco, which has become the only retailer to own a chicken slaughterhouse, has spent an estimated $1 billion constructing a state-of-the-art plant, which ships 1 million chickens a week, and building out its network of chicken farmers. Costco picked Nebraska, a beef state with few existing chicken farmers, that’s in the center of the wild bird migratory fly zone driving the deadly flu. The huge investment aims to shore up its own supply of rotisserie hens at a time when chicken prices have tanked, most of the industry’s processors are reeling from price-fixing settlements and an unprecedented outbreak of avian flu has killed nearly 59 million birds nationwide. The company is counting on the sweet and salty perfume of the packaged birds to remain a popular draw, and controlling its own supply chain saves Costco 35 cents per chicken.

Some experts warn that Bud Light will need to make major changes if it wants to regain consumer trust as it continues to face backlash over its controversial partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Stores have resorted to selling Bud Light for free, and the brand's sales have fallen by 23.9% compared to a year ago, according to NielsenIQ data.

LIV Golf has given huge earning opportunities to top golf players, with Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson earning more than $100 million over the past year. The recent partnership with the PGA Tour may see regulatory concerns looming, but LIV golfers are still expected to get the same treatment and will continue getting lofty paydays. The securement of control and marketing partners by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund in the newly formed entity raises many questions about the future of LIV and the balance of control in golf's new world, where more money will flow into the sport.

The Epoch Times: Spectacular footage of one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Kilauea erupting after a 3-month pause
Spectacular footage of one of the world’s most active volcanoes, Kilauea erupting after a 3-month pause
Kilauea, one of the most active volcanoes in the world, began erupting on June 7 after a three-month pause, displaying spectacular fountains of glowing lava from the Halemaumau crater in the summit caldera. All activity remains within a closed area of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and is at a safe distance from people and structures, with no threat of lava flows to any communities on the island. The park is preparing for crowds as visitors can see the eruption from many overlooks.

The lava from the eruption is currently confined within the summit caldera, and the park has plenty of room for it to produce more without threatening any homes or infrastructure. Visitors can beat the crowds by visiting between 9 p.m. and sunrise and are reminded to stay out of closed areas and remain on marked trails for safety reasons, including avoiding gases from the eruption. The volcano's alert level was raised to warning status and the aviation color code went to red as scientists evaluate the eruption and associated hazards.

National Review: The Fate of the Klamath Basin: Another Case of Environmentalist Excess
The Fate of the Klamath Basin: Another Case of Environmentalist Excess
The Klamath River is the largest river between the Columbia and Sacramento-San Joaquin, covering a massive 12,000 square miles. Farmers in the upper watershed are fighting to retain their available water allowance against demands from environmentalists for improved flow for salmon in the river, which has led to a 20-year battle to remove four mid-river dams. There are environmental concerns that removing the dams will generate millions of tons of toxic sediment downstream, and the economic cost of removal will hit local stakeholders. As in other regions across the US, the fight also highlights growing frustrations in rural communities with urban, liberal-focused politics.

Smoke gets in your eyes, &c.
Smoke from Quebec wildfires engulfed New York City and other areas, providing relief from the smell of "skunk weed" for a few days. A budget deal was struck with politicians claiming both a victory and a loss. Democrats said "Biden ate McCarthy’s lunch," while Republicans said "McCarthy ate Biden’s lunch." Meanwhile, a soccer referee was swarmed by angry fans in Budapest, showing the dangers of mob mentality. Labour leader Keir Starmer suggests ending the liberal progressive politics that have dominated Labour for three decades calling for a more responsible approach to conserve precious things. In other news, Robert Hanssen, the FBI agent who spied for the Soviets died aged 79, and Amitai Etzioni, a well-respected communitarian intellectual died aged 94. Lastly, two elderly actors, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro became fathers again; both are short of Saul Bellow, who became a father again at 84.
