Asphalt paving is the favored surface for public streets, parking lots and driveways. The mix of liquid asphalt cement, sand, and small stone chips or asphaltic concrete makes it a durable road surface. The tar-and-chip method of paving can give color to your driveway by introducing colored chips. The soil under the asphalt must be strong and the gravel base must be at least 6 inches thick. Patches can be made using hot mix asphalt making the patch last for decades, if done correctly. The best way to patch potholes is to use a contractor who has a special heater that warms the existing blacktop to bond mechanically and chemically with the old asphalt. The asphalt needs to cure a minimum of 90 to 120 days before it can be sealed and a shoulder of at least one foot wider than the final blacktop is advised for lateral support.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer has scheduled three briefings on AI, including a classified session on the technology's defence and intelligence implications. Concerns over AI have grown after the technology became more widely available this year.

Passengers can make a reservation for their entire party – up to 10 people – as early as a week before their flight, either visiting the airport’s website or by scanning QR codes throughout the terminal if time slots are available. The service is free and will run for 90 days only, with airlines will have their own boarding times taken into account. If successful, it could be expanded to afternoon hours at Terminal 2.
