Fox News: Trump, DeSantis camps trade blows over AI-generated images of ex-president hugging Fauci
The Trump and DeSantis camps are trading blows over AI-generated images depicting Trump hugging Fauci recently released by DeSantis. The images further fuel concerns about how such "deepfakes" portraying candidates could impact the 2024 campaign. While some Republican lawmakers called the images unacceptable, a source in DeSantis' operation accused Trump of continuously posting fake images and false talking points to smear the governor.
Breitbart: Vivek Ramaswamy: Trump Indictment an ‘Affront to Every Citizen’
Vivek Ramaswamy vows to pardon Donald Trump if he wins the 2024 Presidential Election and says news of Trump's indictment is an "affront to every citizen." He criticizes the "two-tiered justice system" and calls the US Department of Justice "hypocritical" for prosecuting Trump but not President Joe Biden. Ramaswamy also criticizes the FBI's attempt to infiltrate Trump's 2016 campaign.
Breitbart: Kirk: GOP Candidates Should Suspend Campaign, Support Trump in Miami
Charlie Kirk urges Republican presidential candidates to suspend their campaign and show support for former President Donald Trump in Miami after he was indicted as part of an investigation into his handling of White House documents. Kirk warns that not showing solidarity would mark them as part of the opposition, putting the opposition party into question. Meanwhile, Trump publicly states his innocence and will appear for federal criminal proceedings in Miami on Tuesday afternoon. Trump claims this to be a dark day for the United States and calls for unity to make America great again.
Fox News: Fear at 10:’ Senators’ concerns spike on impact of artificial intelligence ‘to change votes’ in 2024
Senators are warning that artificial intelligence (AI) could create serious threats to the integrity of the 2024 elections, with the potential for deepfake videos and cloned voices to be used to spread misinformation and dupe voters. Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley has rated his concern for the issue as 10 out of 10, stating that he is "very, very concerned by it." Additionally, lawmakers and analysts have warned AI could give rise to disinformation campaigns and threaten political accountability.
AI's growth in recent years has been a cause for worry among lawmakers, with some having called for AI to be regulated. It's expected that the political campaign that best employs AI techniques will have an edge in the upcoming elections. The rise of AI further underscores the scale of the challenge lawmakers face as they struggle to protect citizens' privacy, prevent cyberattacks and safeguard democratic processes.
Townhall: Nothing To See Here but a Credible Whistleblower Accusing the President of Bribery
A credible informant accused President Joe Biden of taking $5 million in a bribery scheme with a foreign national while he was vice president. The FBI has an unclassified FD-1023 form with details of the accusation, but they are refusing to hand it over to Congress and mainstream media is not showing curiosity.
There is a lack of journalistic responsibility in showing interest in the accusation against Biden. CNN ran a piece based on sources claiming that there was no grounds to escalate from an initial assessment to a preliminary investigation, allowing Rep. Jamie Raskin to claim that "Rudy Giuliani surfaced these allegations." However, Attorney General William Barr told The Federalist that the investigation had never been closed, though it had been sent to an office in Delaware. Despite this, there is already circumstantial evidence that Joe Biden participated in his family's shady business, making the existence of the informant's account highly newsworthy.

Breitbart: Tucker Carlson's Twitter Show Surpassed 100 Million Views
Tucker Carlson's first episode of the Tucker Carlson Show on Twitter criticized the media for suppressing news and covered the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam. Carlson theorized that Ukraine, not Russia, may have been responsible for the attack, as the dam was built and located in Russian-controlled territory, supplying water to Crimea. Carlson's monologue garnered more than 100 million views and surpassed Fox News' viewership at the same time. Fox News is claiming he breached his contract with the company, but Carlson's lawyers stated any legal action would be in violation of his first amendment rights.

Breitbart: Breitbart Business Digest: Fed Still Likely to Tap Breaks on Rate Hikes
The US heavy truck market is booming, with sales up 20.2% YoY, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Ryan Detrick of the Carson Group tweeted that truck sales continue to increase, with each of the past seven recessions preceded by a decline in heavy truck sales - and so heavy truck sales are good indicators of how the economy is really doing. This is despite concern in the media concerning an alleged "freight recession". This ongoing rise in sales is likely to indicate strong economic fundamentals.
The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) met this week to decide whether to take any action given the economic uncertainty in Canada and Australia. The Bank of Canada and the Royal Bank of Australia followed through with quarter- point rate hikes and Goldman Sachs has forecast that the Federal Reserve may raise rates to prevent 'stagflation'. However, other firms, including the Bank of America, suggest the Fed is likely to keep rates at their current level. Economic data, including higher jobless claims and sluggish factory orders, support the Fed's expected decision not to hike rates. The May consumer price index will also play a role in the decision: if it's hot, inflation may accelerate, but it's unlikely that the Fed will respond unless core inflation spikes.

Fox News: All four of us lost to trans athletes who took away our victories and opportunities
Four female high school athletes in Connecticut are suing the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) for allowing two biological male track athletes to compete in girls' high school track competitions. The two male athletes broke 17 girls’ track meet records, deprived girls of more than 85 opportunities to advance to the next level of competition, and took 15 girls’ state track championship titles. The female athletes argue that CIAC’s policy forced them to compete against biological male competitors, depriving them of their Title IX rights and tarnishing their athletic records. Many other female athletes, including Olympians and champions, have expressed support for their case.
Forbes: Yankees, White Sox Complete Surreal Series Dominated By Poor Air Quality
New York Yankees and White Sox were engulfed in a haze of air pollution from Canadian wildfires. The scheduled game on Wednesday was postponed for a doubleheader the next day, with skepticism over whether it could be played. Yankee's Aaron Judge has no timetable on his return, while Anthony Rizzo, Giancarlo Stanton, and DJ LeMahieu are struggling.

Fox News: Ex-Google safety lead calls for AI algorithm transparency, warns of ‘serious consequences for humanity’
SmartNews' Head of Global Trust and Safety, Arjun Narayan, is calling for new regulations on AI to prioritise user transparency and ensure human oversight for news and social media recommender systems. Narayan believes companies must recognise opt-in and opt-outs when using large language models and push for transparency on how the algorithm is trained. He warned of the dangers of scammers and bad actors exploiting AI technology and highlighted the need for increased media and consumer literacy. Narayan believes there should be certain ground rules for AI, such as a system to prioritise user transparency and regulation.
Fox News: Over-regulation of artificial intelligence could lead to Chinese dominance, experts warn: 'They want to win'
Experts advise that the United States should strike a balance between regulation and investment in artificial intelligence (AI) to retain a technological edge over China. While China takes a government approach to AI investment, the U.S. is driven by private companies, leading to certain advantages but also resulting in a lack of political investment in the technology. Some argue that the federal government needs to have a commitment that the U.S. will win the AI race. Others encourage more government investment in AI to match China, instead of focusing on regulating the technology.

Fox News: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ashton Kutcher lead stars jumping on AI wagon with reported million-dollar investments
Celebrities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert Downey Jr., and Ashton Kutcher are investing millions of dollars in artificial intelligence (AI) startups that work towards improving the environment, according to reports. Kutcher’s firm Sound Ventures, which already invested in three AI companies, has raised $243m to invest in more AI startups. He believes that AI is “deeply intertwined into a successful future” and that the technology can be used to “personalize things… down to the individual consumer” to create a more affordable and accessible world. However, Kutcher also believes that AI needs to be regulated, as issues surrounding misinformation, data privacy, data tracing, and bias exist.
DiCaprio’s venture capital firm, Regeneration VC, invested $1.6m in AI recycling company Greyparrot in February 2021. The company uses “cutting-edge AI computer vision systems deployed globally in sorting facilities” to “monitor and sort through large waste flows at scale” to improve recycling rates. Similarly, Downey Jr’s Footprint Coalition is investing in AI technology as a means to improve the environment. He launched the fund at an AI conference in 2019 and ClimateAI, a climate resilience platform, recently raised $12m from a variety of investors, including Downey Jr.’s Footprint Coalition, in its initial Series A round of funding.
