The Epoch Times: Democrats Push Bill to Let Government Ignore Debt Limit
Democrats have proposed a bill to reform the debt ceiling process, which would allow Treasury to continue paying bills regardless of the debt limit unless Congress expressly objects. If lawmakers in both chambers fail to pass a veto-proof resolution of disapproval within 30 days of surpassing the debt cap, Congress will only be able to halt payments on government debt. Democrats are looking to capitalize on the fear of a U.S. debt default that reached a fever pitch before President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) struck a deal last week to suspend the debt for 19 months and bring their political deadlock to an end.
The Fiscal Responsibility Act suspends the debt ceiling until Jan. 1, 2025, and cuts non-defense discretionary spending slightly in 2024 while limiting discretionary spending growth to 1 percent in 2025. There are permitting reforms for oil and gas drilling, changes to work requirements for some social welfare programs, as well as clawbacks of $20 billion in IRS funding and $30 billion in unspent COVID-19 relief funds under the new act. Although approved by both houses of Congress and signed into law by Biden on June 3, some conservative Republicans believe House Speaker Kevin McCarthy made too many concessions to his Democratic colleagues to pass the act. Some members of the House Freedom Caucus have hinted at a reckoning with McCarthy over how he handled the negotiations.
Breitbart: Schumer, Jeffries Respond to Trump Indictment: 'No One Is Above the Law'
Top Democrats ask for peaceful legal process in Trump’s case; 37 criminal charges have been unsealed against the former President under the Espionage Act relating to alleged retention of classified documents. The charges relate to documents stored at Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida and Trump has been ordered to surrender himself in federal court in Miami. The case has led to renewed calls for equal justice for all and fueled Republican claims of double standards.
Townhall: Why Does the Left Want No Future For Any of Us?
The Left's policies and attitudes suggest a lack of interest in having children or allowing them to propagate, with support for unlimited abortion, same-sex marriage, transitioning, and a dire end-of-the-world climate crisis theme. The missing generations are supposed to be supplied by generally illegal immigrants. But why? Left-leaning people's focus is on the individual, their needs outweigh all other considerations. Left-focused policies encourage not having children and the pull of not having children becomes stronger with many MSM articles about how much money one saves by not bringing a baby into the world. The Left supports policies that prevent future generations from being born and prefers to bring them in from other countries.
Townhall: Time for Western Democracies to Stand with Iranian People
Iran has experienced anti-government protests for years, but the recent uprising demands a complete overhaul of the regime, not just specific changes. The protests resulted in violent crackdowns, with hundreds of deaths and thousands of arrests. Corruption, political repression, and economic hardship are driving factors. The international community should support the protesters and hold the regime accountable through United Nations investigations. The Iranian people are backed by an indigenous and experienced organized resistance movement that seeks a democratic, non-nuclear, and secular republic. Women are spearheading protests and being brutally targeted.

Townhall: Megyn Kelly and the Platinum Rule
Megyn Kelly’s use of the Platinum Rule, to treat others as they wish to be treated, caused her to use false pronouns for transgender individuals in the past. However, after realizing the harm it causes, she stopped this practice. The Platinum Rule can be useful in a business setting where recognizing and empathizing with individuals’ unique characteristics can boost morale and profits, but it becomes problematic when used to advance a political agenda that goes against truth and natural law. Transgender ideology advocates are co-opting this principle to coerce society into accepting their beliefs and punishing those who don't comply.

Fox News: On this day in history, June 10, 1752, Benjamin Franklin famously flies kite during thunderstorm
On this day in 1752, Benjamin Franklin flew a kite during a thunderstorm with a goal of collecting ambient electrical charge in a Leyden jar. He coined a number of electrical terms still used today, and perfected his lightning rod invention.
Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States, lived in London for nearly 16 years between 1757 and 1775, serving as a statesman and diplomat in England and France. He was also a famous scientist, inventor, and a friend to many leading intellectuals of the time, including Joseph Priestley and David Hume. Franklin died at the age of 84 in Philadelphia.

Washington Free Beacon: California Bill Would Redefine 'Infertility' To Give Men Access to Pregnancy Treatments
A new bill in California would redefine infertility to entitle men, including LGBT men, to insurance-covered fertility treatments such as IVF and implantation in pregnancy surrogates. While opposition to the bill has been muted, California businesses and insurance groups have expressed concern over the projected price tag, with claims that the coverage mandates would raise annual premiums for employer-sponsored plans by over $330 million a year. Conservative policy advocates have sounded the alarm on the bill's wider implications for social norms and family structures. The new legislation could herald a new front in the national culture war over gender and fertility.
