Texas to place floating barrier in Rio Grande to deter migrants from illegally crossing river
The Texas Republican Governor plans to install floating barriers in the Rio Grande to deter migrants from crossing the river and entering the United States illegally. The 1,000-foot wall consisting of inflatable sphere buoys - costing $1 million - can be moved and extended as needed to provide adequate coverage in crossing "hotspots" and will be deployed near Eagle Pass on July 7. The border security legislation allocated $5.1 billion and included six bills to ensure Texas can continue to do even more to stop illegal immigration at the southern border.

Biden Admin Interfered to Prevent Release of Censorship Docs Exposing DHS
Biden's DOJ allegedly interfered with the release of public records exposing government censorship of political content on social media. DOJ officials reportedly tried to delay the release of records from the University of Washington's government-funded think tank, led by a DHS advisory subcommittee member. Despite the DOJ's efforts, investigative journalist Lee Fang obtained the documents after congressional hearings on the same subject. The DOJ's potential legal action and interference with the release of public records raise concerns about government transparency and upholding the First Amendment.

The New American: Trump Indicted in Documents Case - The New American
Trump Indicted in Documents Case - The New American
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by the Biden Justice Department in the classified documents case, which saw documents seized during an FBI raid on Trump's Florida home at Mar-a-Lago. It is the first time in US history that a former president has been indicted. The charges Trump faces, including an alleged violation of the Espionage Act, are unclear. Many have criticized the case as selective prosecution, and Trump has argued that he had the legal right to declassify the documents in question. The case is seen as politically motivated by many Republicans, and is increasing Trump's popularity among the party's supporters.

Trump has faced legal challenges from state and federal prosecutors across the country, including charges related to hush money paid to a porn star and attempting to subvert the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia, despite Trump telling his supporters to protest peacefully. The Biden Justice Department is also considering seeking an indictment against Trump for his alleged involvement in the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. The actions against Trump are unprecedented and have raised concerns among many that the criminal justice system is being used for political gain. The case against Trump is seen as not only unfair to him, but also to his Republican opponents, and ultimately, to the American people.

DeSantis Campaign Uses AI Deepfakes in Attack Ad Against Trump, Prompting Backlash
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' 2024 presidential campaign received criticism for using fake AI-generated images depicting Donald Trump with Dr. Anthony Fauci. The images displayed Trump kissing and hugging Fauci with the caption "REAL LIFE TRUMP," which the DeSantis War Room account shared on Twitter. While three images showing Trump embracing Fauci were identified as fake, DeSantis' campaign defended themselves by pointing out an opposition image shared by Trump showing the Florida governor riding a rhinoceros. However, the use of deepfake AI in political campaigns has been condemned as a dangerous threat to democracy.

NEW: Trump Parts Ways With Lawyers Over Classified Documents Case
Former President Donald Trump's lawyers, Jim Trusty and John Rowley, have resigned following his indictment on federal charges related to classified documents. It is unclear whether Trump fired them or if they left on their own. Trump has hired Todd Blanche as his lead counsel to handle the Manhattan district attorney's criminal indictment. The U.S. Secret Service will meet with Trump's staff and security officers to develop a plan for his travel and appearance for arraignment, and his legal team is expected to file a motion to dismiss or question the Special Counsel with regard to a prosecutor accused of misconduct.

Trump Indictment Shows Deep State Trying To Rig Another Election
Democrats and institutions like the Department of Justice and the FBI are attempting to rig the next presidential election through election meddling, just as they did in 2016 and 2020. Despite Trump's victory in 2016 and his successes during his administration, Democrats and corporate media continued to undermine him at every turn. The collective efforts of Big Tech, corporate media, and Democrats influenced the outcome of the 2020 election, leading to Biden's victory. The ongoing legal cases against Trump are weak and a clear attempt to keep him from winning the White House again. Democrats are dead set on indicting Trump because they know they can't beat him fairly.

Her social media post follows Trump revealing that federal prosecutors are indicting him as part of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into handling of White House documents.

Montana AG Suing Legal Fund Amid Claims It Mismanaged Taxpayer Funds, Advanced Left-Wing Causes
Republican Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen filed a lawsuit against the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG), accusing the nonprofit organization of mismanaging public funds. Knudsen is seeking an audit of NAAG to determine what share of the organization’s assets come from Montana’s public funds and compel the return of those funds. NAAG manages funds provided by member states that can be loaned to states to finance legal battles, and invests those funds. Allegations against NAAG include investing member funds in firms that promote environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) frameworks, and losing about $37 million in investments over the prior year.

While the senators claim to be concerned about user privacy, critics suggest they are seeking to enforce political censorship.

He refused further questioning as he was worried about the charges against him. Trump acknowledged the charges on Truth Social, claiming the FBI and DOJ are corrupt.

NAOMI WOLF: Were liberal elites so cruel because they have no

psychological dynamics behind the sadistic behavior of many elites during the pandemic could be linked to their denial of pleasure and joy in their lives. The world of liberal elites is full of opaque rules, constant self-surveillance and self-denial, and workaholism, with little focus on family or spirituality. This denial of pleasure could have contributed to a neurosis of dominance and submission, and a desire of millions to lose their individuality and be part of the collective altruistic hive-mind. In contrast, those who are able to incorporate joy, fun, and meaning into their lives may be better protected against becoming sociopathic.

NB Premier Stands By Changes to School Gender Policy Despite Dissent in Caucus
Changes to New Brunswick's gender rules in schools, specifically regarding the policies governing transgender and non-binary students, were announced by Premier Blaine Higgs, triggering a response from eight Progressive Conservative dissidents on Thursday. The policy now mandates parental consent when preferred first names are used, but the policy still respects the fact that in some cases, it may not be in the child's best interest to speak to their parents. Private, universal changing areas in all school facilities will now be available. Sports activities may also no longer be based on children's gender identity. The revised policy aims to provide vulnerable students with a safe space where they can learn, grow, and express themselves, all while maintaining the respect of parents.

NATO Members Can 'Individually' Send Troops to Ukraine, Ex-Alliance Chief Says
Former NATO Secretary-General Anders Rasmussen warns individual NATO countries may send troops to Ukraine if security guarantees and clear paths are not provided by the alliance at an upcoming summit in Vilnius. Rasmussen cites Poland as a potential “coalition of the willing” for troop deployment, with Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia following. The situation would represent a turning point as Western support for Ukraine steadily increased but stopped short of boots on the ground. Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia’s Security Council, responded to Rasmussen’s remarks with questions about how many people in those countries want war with Russia.

The UK government will remove the windfall tax on oil and gas companies if energy prices drop to historically normal levels. The tax was introduced by ex-Chancellor Rishi Sunak to help households with rising bills following Russian President Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Oregon man who shot FBI agent with 'Indiana Jones' style booby trap convicted
Gregory Lee Rodvelt, 71, has been found guilty of assaulting an FBI agent after setting up booby traps on his property in 2018 that injured the agent. The traps included a wheelchair rigged to fire ammunition at anyone who tried to move it, and a circular hot tub turned on its side that was rigged to roll over any trespasser who triggered a tripwire. Rodvelt faces up to 20 years in prison for assaulting a federal officer and discharging a firearm in relation to a crime of violence.

The FBI agents had gone to the property at the request of a real estate lawyer who was selling it. The officers encountered a minivan outfitted with animal snares, and had to blast open the fortified front door of the house. Rodvelt's booby traps were compared to those in "Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark". The FBI agent who was injured had a .410-gauge shotgun pellet hit their leg and was taken to hospital.

Disarming individuals based solely on nonviolent misdemeanors is a violation of constitutional rights, undermines the principles of proportionality and rehabilitation, and ignores the actual risk posed by the individual.
