The American Spectator: People Like Me Instigated America’s War in 2015: A Former Liberal Speaks Out
People Like Me Instigated America’s War in 2015: A Former Liberal Speaks Out
A military veteran explains how he and other Americans unwittingly coopted into a leftist culture war against Trump, sparked by a growing anti-Muslim rhetoric that arose after the 2015 Republican primaries. Praising the meritocracy he experienced in the US military, he laments how the "edicts of the state" increasingly govern America more than individual agency and merit, leading to a "neo-Marxist cultural revolution". He compares America to Iran where a meritocracy does not exist and ideas of individual merit and personal agency are dismantled, resulting in a totalitarian system.

The Mysterious Secret Life of France’s Controversial Prime Minister
Journalist Bérengère Bonte's book, "Élisabeth Borne, la Secrète", portrays France's second female prime minister, Élisabeth Borne, as a leftist with controversial views. Borne's declining popularity is attributed to France raising the retirement age from 62 to 64, and her reportedly out-of-touch attitude towards the needs of the French people. Bonte's book also suggests that Borne may be a lesbian and suffers from an eating disorder, which has prompted the prime minister to sue the publisher for invasion of privacy.

Florida's 'Dr. Deep' Resurfaces After a Record 100 Days Living Underwater
Dr. Joseph Dituri spent 100 days living underwater at Jules’ Undersea Lodge in Key Largo, Florida, setting a new record for the longest time without depressurization. Dituri, who goes by the nickname "Dr. Deep Sea," shattered the previous record of 73 days and conducted daily experiments to monitor how his body responded to the increase in pressure over time. The project, dubbed Project Neptune 100, was organized by the Marine Resources Development Foundation to learn more about how the human body and mind respond to extended exposure to extreme pressure and isolation, which could benefit ocean researchers and astronauts on future long-term missions.
