The Epoch Times: Poilievre Gives Nearly 4-Hour Speech in House to Delay Vote on Budget Bill
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre made a nearly four-hour speech in the House of Commons to delay a vote on Bill C-47, the Liberal government's Budget Implementation Act, which the Tories have been vocal against for its deficit spending measures. Poilievre has called on the federal government to stop all deficit spending and halt new carbon tax hikes. The budget act is currently at third reading in the House of Commons and will proceed to the Senate if MPs vote it through.
PJ Media: Pence Condemns Trump, Says He 'Should Never Be President Again'
Former Vice President Mike Pence appeared at a CNN Town Hall in Iowa, covering topics such as January 6, his presidential aspirations, and Ukraine. Pence asserted that he chose the Constitution over Trump's desires to overturn the election and that anyone who violates the Constitution should never be president again. Pence also made it clear that if elected, he would not pardon any J6 participants, and he condemned the unequal treatment of Trump by the media and the Democrats over having classified documents. Pence’s defense of the Constitution over Trump's presidency may further divide him from Trump supporters.
The Federalist Papers: Nancy Pelosi at Nationals' 'Pride' Night Sparks Mockery, But It's Not About Her First Pitch
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi threw out the first pitch at the Washington Nationals “Night Out” game to celebrate “pride month” on Tuesday. Despite Pelosi claiming she does not watch TV except for sports, she is known to watch news and politics channels. Her throwing skills, described as “more like a free throw,” didn’t create the expected swell of the crowd for the propaganda festival. Although she was clearly honored, Pelosi’s pitch may not have generated as much “pride” as hoped, as she threw out the first pitch to crowds of as few as fifteen and as many as twenty-eight people.

Forbes: Russia Taps Power Of Tech Startups For New Kamikaze Drones
New Russian drone, the Privet-82, has completed successful combat tests in Ukraine. It is said to be cheap, effective and can be produced in large numbers by a private-enterprise approach by the Russian military. The drones can find and knock out an armoured vehicle from around 20 miles away, reads reports.
Russia’s drone industry has so far failed to keep pace with developments in the war, performing miserably. By contrast, Ukraine has a vast thriving ecosystem of drone startups and volunteer groups producing a wide range of scouts and loitering munitions. It has been reported that Ukraine’s defense ministry says it is working with more than 80 locally based drone makers for the Army of Drones initiative and plan to field a staggering 200,000 drones this year.

Foreign Policy: Israel Is Officially Annexing the West Bank
Israel has long sought to establish its unilateral sovereignty in the West Bank through settlement expansion, despite stating that the final status of the territory would be determined through mediated talks. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recently been pushing for a policy of unilateral annexation, and a recent bureaucratic maneuver by his government transferring administrative powers from military to civilian leaders has all but made annexation official. This move should assuage any remaining doubts that Israel is in the process of fully annexing the West Bank, a violation of international law that the world has failed to hold Israel accountable for.

The Epoch Times: 'Eco-Zealots' Drive Labour's Energy Policy, Says Sunak
Conservative Party leader Rishi Sunak has accused Labour of being led by "eco-zealots" who are ready to surrender Britain's energy security. He claims that the Just Stop Oil group, which stages disruptive protests, influences Labour's energy policies. Green energy entrepreneur Dale Vince, a major donor to Just Stop Oil, has given Labour over £1.4 million. While Labour plans to make Britain a clean power by 2030 by harnessing renewable energy, critics fear that halting new oil and gas production in the North Sea risks creating a cliff edge with domestic extraction. Trade unions have asked for clarification on Labour's part in ensuring that workers will not pay the price for the transition to renewable energy.
Forbes: Meet The Unsung Heroes Of The Kentucky Bourbon Trail
Vendome Copper & Brass Works craft industrial equipment and metalcraft art for bourbon distilleries like Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark. They produce vessels such as fermenters, cookers, pot stills, column stills, condensers, coolers, tanks and accessories. However, their phenomenal success thanks to the bourbon boom has caused the typical headaches of labor and supply challenges. On top of this, customers are frequently expanding their projects before Vendome’s designs are even completed. The company is now reportedly working with mostly American customers on long lead times averaging between 20 and 24 months.
The Epoch Times: Airline Profitability Strengthens This Year Despite Economic Slowdown
The International Air Transport Association predicts that the global airline industry's net profits in 2023 will reach $9.8 billion, more than double the forecast from December, due to increased cargo revenues, the opening of China, and lower jet fuel prices. Around 4.35 billion passengers are expected to travel this year, coming close to the 4.54 billion who flew in 2019, marking a significant turnaround for the industry, which only carried 1.8 billion passengers in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This comes after the aviation industry suffered net losses of $183 billion between 2020 and 2022.
The Epoch Times: 20-Nation Eurozone Economy Falls Into Technical Recession
The 20-nation eurozone economy fell into technical recession in Q1 2023, with GDP dropping 0.1% due to more than half (8) of all EU countries contracting, household consumption declining and soaring energy and food prices. Although post-pandemic boom is over, ING Bank's senior eurozone economist Bert Colijn thinks "these declines are so minimal that current economic circumstances are better described as broad stagnation". The labor market is resilient but inflation and interest rates impact consumer spending. Meanwhile, in May, Germany slipped into recession after Q1 GDP contracted 0.3%, while Poland recorded the highest increase of GDP by 3.8%.

The New American: Army Excuse for Renaming Fort Bragg Full of False History - The New American
The Biden administration is overseeing the renaming of several U.S. military installations, but now the published explanations for the changes are teaching false history. Fort Bragg, rebranded Fort Liberty, is one example of this egregious attempt to rewrite American history. The U.S. Army's official website published a paragraph with major mistakes contradicting the facts of the founding of the United States, including the notion that the United States are, not is, and that the Founding Fathers did not create a standing army.

The Epoch Times: Doctor Sacked Over Refusal to Use Trans-Pronouns Did Not Risk Safety Patient, Regulator Rules
The UK General Medical Council (GMC) has ruled that a doctor's refusal to use trans-pronouns does not put patient safety at risk. The decision came after an employment tribunal ruled against Dr. David Mackereth in a case related to his refusal to refer to transgender patients by their preferred pronouns due to his religious beliefs. After losing a subsequent appeal, Mackereth self-referred himself to the GMC and was cleared to practice. The case is now being taken to the European Court of Human Rights by Mackereth to address implications surrounding compelled speech and forced adherence to gender identity beliefs as conditions of employment.

Daily Wire: ‘Incredibly Disturbing’: Musk Weighs In Again On Matt Walsh’s Shocking Investigation Of Trans Surgeries
Elon Musk was disturbed by Matt Walsh’s undercover investigation into transgender health care providers, Plume and Folx, that appear to be rubber-stamping approvals for life-altering sex-change operations, so insurance companies will cover the medical expenses. Walsh and his team discovered how easy it is to get approved for sex-change surgery. Walsh’s producer got a thumbs up for an orchiectomy -- a procedure to remove testicles -- after a 22-minute virtual appointment with Plume.
Plume and Folx are two of the largest transgender health care providers in the US. Plume appears to be selling letters of recommendation based on standards provided by the radical World Professional Association for Transgender Health for $150 to those seeking transgender surgeries. Musk is making it a habit to engage with Walsh’s work that points out the dangers of sex-change procedures. Last week, Musk responded after his platform canceled a deal to stream Walsh’s groundbreaking documentary “What is a Woman?”
Fox News: Christian UK doctor fired for refusing to use trans pronouns again appealing case
Dr. David Mackereth, a Christian doctor in the UK, is appealing his firing by the Department for Work and Pensions for refusing to use a transgender patient's preferred pronouns due to his religious beliefs. After losing a previous appeal, Mackereth is appealing his case to a European court after a medical council said this week that his beliefs did not make him unfit to serve. The Christian Legal Centre, which is supporting Mackereth, believes the rulings against their client are the first time in history an English court has compelled speech on pronouns.
The General Medical Council (GMC) has said that Christian doctor's beliefs on gender and pronouns are not a risk to patients and that his "fitness to practice" is not impaired. The GMC did not open an investigation into a member based on "hypothetical situation" such as the one the DWP used in firing the doctor. The doctor is appealing his case again in Europe before the European Court of Human Rights. The Christian Legal Centre believes the rulings against their client are the first time in history an English court has compelled speech on pronouns.
