Forbes: Texas Will Block Migrants In Rio Grande Using Wall Of Buoys, Gov. Abbott Says
Texas Will Block Migrants In Rio Grande Using Wall Of Buoys, Gov. Abbott Says
Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced plans to deploy 1,000 feet of buoys along the Rio Grande River, costing under $1 million, to deter migrants from illegally crossing the southern border into Texas. The first deployment will be near the border city Eagle Pass, with plans to add more if effective. Abbott signed six bills aimed at protecting Texans from illegal immigration, with legislation ranging from increasing the power of federal agents to search migrants to offering compensation to farmers whose land is damaged by border crossers. The announcement came during a special session of the Texas Legislature addressing Abbott’s request for legislation that would increase the penalties for human smuggling.

Fox News: RFK Jr. recounts border visit, offers Trump credit, says Dems reversal of policies reached 'pettiness'
RFK Jr. recounts border visit, offers Trump credit, says Dems reversal of policies reached 'pettiness'
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. stated that President Trump's immigration policy deserves some credit, despite his disagreements with the Republican on other aspects of it. He also believes that President Biden reversing one Trump policy after another may be "petty" versus empirically beneficial. Kennedy's stance on the border issue has gained traction among voters, with polling showing that 1-in-5 Democrats support him over Biden at this point.

Kennedy expressed surprise that many immigrants egressing into the United States are not the typical Central American refugee; rather, they come from India, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, and other places. Many get positioned slightly east where they can cross into Yuma, Ariz. Although Kennedy opposed Trump's hardline stance on building a wall and engaging in exponentially more deportations than the Biden administration, he believes surveillance is necessary on most of the border and physical barriers in places where they are needed. Kennedy said the Democratic Party leadership has been roundly jeering his candidacy, given his differing view on policies such as the war in Ukraine.

CIA and FBI Celebrate Pride Month but Saw Catholics, J6 as Domestic Terrorists
Under Biden, law enforcement and justice systems are becoming partisan. FBI infiltrated Catholic churches to spy on supposed terrorists and targeted Trump and Jan. 6 protestors. FBI and CIA support LGBTQ while ignoring transgender violence and surgeries on minors. Both agencies openly celebrated Pride Month, despite lack of evidence that LGBTQ ideologues could be dangerous. Biden's system targets those who the administration disapproves of.

New Mexico rolls out a $400,000 educational campaign for responsible cannabis use, including billboards, TV, radio, print, and digital ads. The "Yes & Know" campaign focuses on responsible storage, safe consumption, and awareness of the rules.

Fact Check: Biden Lies About Never Telling DOJ to Prosecute Anyone
President Biden claimed that he has never suggested to the Department of Justice on what they should or should not do. However, this is false as he openly stated in October that those who defied subpoenas from the January 6 Committee should be prosecuted. This contradicts his promise not to enter decisions about what cases the Justice Department should bring and not bring. The Biden administration did, in fact, suggest prosecuting certain individuals who were opposed to him politically.

Hard-Right Punishes McCarthy Over Debt Ceiling Deal: How The House Freedom Caucus Is Waging Mutiny
Republican House Freedom Caucus members blocked a legislative move backed by their party, grinding the House to a halt and signalling the start of a war that could paralyse legislative activity for the duration of the congressional session. The rebels joined with Democrats to tank two bills aimed at blocking gas stove bans to move to the floor for a formal vote, marking the first time since 2002 that a rule vote failed in the House. The move was retaliation against House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for failing to include all of their demands in the debt ceiling legislation President Joe Biden signed over the weekend, which more Democrats voted for than Republicans .

Forbes: First Major U.S. Wind Farm Construction Begins Off Massachusetts—And More Are Coming
First Major U.S. Wind Farm Construction Begins Off Massachusetts—And More Are Coming
Construction has begun on the first major offshore wind project in the US, the Vineyard Wind I project, roughly 15 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard – part of President Joe Biden’s goal of creating 30 gigawatts of offshore wind energy by 2030 and an instrumental part of his ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Vineyard Wind will be the country's first commercial-scale offshore wind farm, with 62 turbines set up. The project will generate enough electricity for more than 400,000 homes in Massachusetts and save electricity customers roughly $1.4 billion over its first 20 years of operation, though it has faced opposition over potential environmental degradation and navigational concerns.

A group of conservative lawmakers have slammed the initiative, including a trio of GOP House members from New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania, who called for a halt to offshore wind this week amid a series of whale deaths off the East Coast. A group of 30 mayors in New Jersey also called for a moratorium on offshore wind activity due to an unusual number of humpback whale deaths. However, those whale deaths have been attributed primarily to vessel strikes, and the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration has not found any evidence pointing to construction of wind turbines causing whale mortalities.

Parents Beware: Disney+ Features 'Gay Christmas' Doc That Even They Admit Isn't Safe for Children
Disney-owned National Geographic released a pro-LGBT documentary called "Pride from Above," which can be seen on affiliated streaming services. The documentary includes questionable content, such as children being taken to an LGBT "pride" parade, an elderly man calling pride "gay Christmas," and sexual imagery and language. Disney themselves state that the documentary is not suitable for children and can only be accessed through an adult account or a child's account with specific permissions turned on. However, this exclusion could be a deliberate choice by Disney or an error on the streaming application's backend.

Riley Gaines: Women Should Stop Being 'Agreeable,' Must Fight Trans Agenda
Swimmer Riley Gaines calls on women to fight against trans agenda invading women's sports. Women must stop being too agreeable and stand firm for common sense and truth, Gaines says. The swimmer expressed her surprise that NCAA did not see the situation with biological male swimmer Lia Thomas as bad, and felt demeaned as woman when forced to compete against a male. Gaines believes that the NCAA chose to appease the male athlete's feelings at the expense of women's privacy, safety, fairness and equal opportunities.

MLB-Linked Emergency Text Line Directs Users To Reportedly Sexually Explicit LGBTQ Chat Room, Watchdog Finds
The Major League Baseball (MLB)-backed Crisis Text Line directed an undercover watchdog group pretending to struggle with gender issues to a chat room that allows explicit sexual conversations, according to the American Accountability Foundation. The chat room, known as TrevorSpace, is operated by the Trevor Project and caters to LGBTQ young people aged between 13 and 24. “Grooming kids for gender transition is so beyond the pale of morality and basic decency that it’s hard to see how MLB ever comes back from this," said AAF President Tom Jones. The Trevor Project is a non-profit LGBT organization that supports children socially “transitioning” and undergoing transgender procedures like puberty blockers.

The group that runs the chat, the Trevor Project, is a non-profit LGBT organization that fights against suicide. The MLB has come under fire in the past after 20 teams have supported or promoted groups that back children undergoing transgender procedures.

However, U.S. officials have been concerned about China's influence activities and referred to the situation as not being a reality.

Trump Requests New Trial In E. Jean Carroll Sexual Abuse Case, Calling Damages ‘Excessive’
Trump has requested a new trial with writer E. Carroll won $5 million in damages from Trump for sexual abuse and defamation damages.

Trump's retrial asks for another civil case with Carroll, whom he allegedly sexual abused and defamed. Although Carroll accused Trump of raping her, the jury found "sexual abuse."
