Fox News: Marianne Williamson campaign manager previously accused of misusing group funds to buy concert tickets: report
Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson's new campaign manager, Roza Calderon, is facing accusations of financial fraud for allegedly using organization funds on personal expenses. The Placer Women Democrats accused Calderon in 2017 of spending almost $1,900 from the organization's bank account on personal expenses, including concert tickets. Calderon denied the accusations but returned the funds and was barred from taking any positions "of trust" for elder or dependent adults. The Williamson campaign argued that the issue was "set aside and dismissed" by a court and criticized media attacks on campaign staffers. Calderon is also accused of embellishing her experience prior to joining the campaign.
American Thinker: Regime idiots pounce on conveniently-timed 'wildfire' air pollution in New York
Green pushers blame human-caused climate change for every weather event. Their solution is more government power and money. However, there is no scientific link between temperature, storm activity, sea levels, and coal, natural gas, or crude oil consumption. Currently, the air quality in the American Northeast is blamed on wildfires in Canada. However, an estimated 60% of fires in Canada are caused naturally by lighting, and the remainder is mostly preventable if humans were more careful. Human-caused wildfires are preventable if measures are taken to reduce them. People that believe the radical, leftist agenda must be replaced because they cannot control the wind, rain or climate.

The helmets were collected within the two weeks leading up to Jan. 6 and apparently without justification. Former Capitol Police Lt. Tarik K. Johnson reported the helmet issue to the Committee on House Administration, which oversees Capitol Police. Committee staff asked him for a meeting to discuss Jan. 6 issues. U.S. Capitol Police officers were left without effective protective equipment during the Capitol breach.

The FBI has warned against revealing unverified information, but the investigation continues.

If he does not comply, he will face six months in jail for criminal contempt, six months in jail for civil contempt, and a $20,000 fine payable to his child's mother. The Epoch Times: More Evacuation Orders to Be Lifted for Halifax-Area Residents Affected by Wildfires
More evacuation orders will be lifted to allow residents to return to their homes in Upper Tantallon and Hammonds Plains following the Halifax fire that broke out last week. Over 16,000 people were forced to flee their homes due to the most devastating fire of this time; emergency alerts will be sent to explain access. A review of the infrastructure must be completed, depending on the damage of the area; estimated completion is within the next ten days. Although most residents should have approval to return home before Friday afternoon, another group could expect to wait a bit longer while the infrastructure is being fixed. Community safety remains a top priority for the Halifax government.
PJ Media: Not ALL California Cities Are Suicidal — One Plans to Explore a Solution to 'Homeless' Dilemma
Santa Barbara's police chief, Kelly Gordon, wants more authority and resources to deal with homelessness as it is becoming increasingly problematic. The growing homeless population in California cities such as San Francisco and Los Angeles has caused businesses and citizens to leave, with even the Hilton Hotel group planning to stop paying their bills due to the city's negligence. As Seattle fails to enforce drug laws, Santa Barbara is taking a different approach and considering taking people suffering "psychiatric distress" off the streets on 5150 holds until they are in their right mind again. With the city's homeless death rate nearly doubling between 2016 and 2020 due to drugs flooding the streets, Gordon hopes that taking dangerous people off the streets will help deal with the situation.
The Epoch Times: 'Bad Spaniels' Dog Toy Maker Loses Trademark Case Against Jack Daniel’s
The US Supreme Court has ruled unanimously against a company selling dog chew toys resembling Jack Daniel's whiskey bottles. In Jack Daniel’s Properties v. VIP Products, the court rejected VIP’s claim that its toys were a parody protected by the First Amendment. Jack Daniel’s had alleged that the toys, labelled “Bad Spaniels”, infringed its trademark and diluted the unique nature of the Old No 7 brand by associating it with dog faeces. Companies including Coca-Cola and Major League Baseball had supported Jack Daniel’s claim. The Landham Act regulates unfair competition and trademark law but the ruling was seen as adding clarity in an area of growing importance to corporations.
Daily Wire: Dylan Mulvaney Urges More Brands To Partner With Trans People Even After Bud Light Debacle
Transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney calls for more brands to partner with trans influencers despite the Bud Light boycott and declining sales. Mulvaney expresses the desire to get other transgender people into the spotlight instead of being the privileged one and says companies should be looking to work with more trans-identified individuals for ad campaigns. The Bud Light controversy where Mulvaney featured a can of beer with their face on it led to swift backlash and boycotts against the national beer brand. Mulvaney also met with President Joe Biden and spoke about being an activist instead of just an existing trans person. Target has also been making headlines for selling “tuck-friendly” swimwear in its stores and partnering with a designer who has used occult imagery, including items that said, “Satan Respects Pronouns,” leading to negative media attention.

He is inspired by Mark Wahlberg, who also moved to Las Vegas and sees this as a smart move. This event may be considered an example of the hashtag, as it highlights people leaving one place to find a better environment in another place.

American Thinker: The PGA Tour partnership with the Saudis
The PGA commissioner, Jay Monahan, made a back-room deal with LIV Golf, betraying the players he represents. Despite backlash, he has kept his job and received a promotion.

The officials have said Chinese intelligence services could use Cuba’s proximity to Florida to gather electronic communications from the southeastern United States. US officials are calling for stronger countermeasures, including restrict outbound investment in crucial sectors in China, closing trade loopholes that allow Chinese imports to enter the United States tariff-free, and curbing Chinese land purchases near sensitive military bases.
Washington Free Beacon: Morningstar Under Investigation for Anti-Israel Discrimination in Florida

The retail industry is also a major contributor to global emissions, with the apparel industry generating almost 10% of greenhouse gases worldwide. The Epoch Times: Los Angeles Times Cutting More Than 10 Percent of Newsroom
Los Angeles Times is firing over 10 percent of its newsroom, cutting 74 newsroom employees. The terminated employees represent 13 percent of the newsroom, and 57 are represented by the union. The company did not consult with the L.A. Times Guild beforehand, and it is the first layoff since Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong purchased the Los Angeles Times in 2019. The layoffs are due to the difficulty in operating media outlets, which has grown increasingly challenging since the onset of the pandemic.
The Epoch Times: California Bill to Expand Rent Control Voted Down in Senate
The California Senate rejected Senate Bill (SB) 466 on May 30, which would have allowed local jurisdictions to expand rent control measures on newer residential properties. The bill was sponsored by Sen. Aisha Wahab and failed with 16 senators voting against it. Opponents argued that rent control negatively impacts development and investment plans, while advocates argued that the state needs to address the homelessness crisis and skyrocketing housing costs. California is one of eight states with rent control policies at the state or local level.
The Epoch Times: Woking Council Effectively Goes Bust With £1.2 Billion Hole in Budget
Woking Borough Council in Surrey has issued a Section 114 notice after revealing a £1.2bn deficit in its budget. Essential spending, including salaries and pensions, will continue, but other expenditure will be halted. The council's debt portfolio is £1.8bn as of March 2023, while its funding for the same year amounted to £16m. Much of the debt was accrued from funding property development projects such as Victoria Square, which incurred a charge of over £600m due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Woking Borough Council's debt is "unprecedented" and is the fourth-highest level of debt in the UK.
National Review: The Corner: Ireland: Slaughter the Cows, Save the World
Ireland's plan to cull 200,000 cows to meet climate targets has alarmed dairy and beef farmers. Impairing these industries is catastrophically stupid as Ireland has a Ricardian advantage in producing cool-season grasses, making it ideal for producing excellent beef and livestock. This move would also reduce Europe's food security and increase carbon costs. Ireland's food reputation has entirely changed, and it is now recognized worldwide as the good stuff.

PJ Media: 'Hate Speech': Google-Owned Blogger Censors Pastor's Letter to Parents on How to Explain Pride Month
Blogger/Google censored a Christian pastor's letter, titled "Pride Month—A Short Parental Guide," that offered biblical advice on homosexuality to his congregation. The post was flagged as hate speech and removed from the site. Despite the censorship, the letter can be found unedited elsewhere. This is not an isolated incident but instead perpetuates an alarming trend of censorship of Christian speech on social media platforms. Email exchanges with Google demonstrate that their policies render Christian views as hate speech. As the world's most powerful tech company, Google should not be censoring religious perspectives.

The Epoch Times: The Great COVID Death Coverup
The WHO recommended the use of mechanical ventilation as a first-line response to COVID-19, but by early April 2020, it was clear that this was detrimental to patients' survival. The mortality rate for COVID-19 patients placed on ventilators was 76.4 percent for those aged 18 to 65, and 97.2 percent for those aged over 65. This recommendation was made to protect health care workers by isolating the virus inside the ventilator, not to increase patient survival. The WHO needs to be held accountable for this unethical recommendation, especially considering its attempts to gain unilateral power and authority in pandemic decisions without local input.

Forbes: Vikings Cut Star RB Dalvin Cook, Huge Salary Cap Move For 2023 Season
Dalvin Cook is no longer a Minnesota Viking due to financial and football reasons. Cutting Cook will create $9 million in cap space for the team, and the Vikings hope that backup running back Alexander Mattison can step up in his place. Cook's inability to break tackles and sustain drives by getting consistently tackled behind the line of scrimmage led to the decision, despite Cook's history of explosive plays. Cook is now a free agent, with teams like the Cowboys, Broncos, and Dolphins potential landing spots. The Vikings will have to adjust to the loss of Cook as they move forward.
