Fox News: 'Biden just secured Trump's nomination,' 'War on the republic': GOP unites in outrage over Trump indictment
Republican lawmakers defended former President Donald Trump following his indictment by Special Counsel Jack Smith over his connections to the Capitol riot and alleged mishandling of classified information. They accused President Joe Biden and his Department of Justice of unfairly targeting Trump, claiming that he is only being singled out as a potential opponent for the presidency in 2024. They also argued that Biden and other Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, have also mishandled classified information without facing repercussions. Conservative Evangelical leader Reverend Robert Jeffress suggested that the indictment is a sign that Trump is set to become the GOP nominee in 2024, claiming that millions of Christians are praying for him and that the left is threatened by him.
Breitbart: Axelrod: 'There's No Real Relationship Between' Trump, Biden Document Cases
David Axelrod predicts that former President Donald Trump will use his 2024 presidential campaign to attack the political motivation behind the charges against him, despite there being no relationship between his case and President Joe Biden's lack of prosecution. Trump will likely weaponize his campaign against the indictments, just as he did during his New York campaign.
Spectator USA: Will Americans greet Trump’s bombshell federal indictment with a yawn?
Donald Trump becomes the first former president to be indicted on seven federal counts, accused of hoarding top government secrets. Despite his denials, cracks in his facade of invincibility are appearing as other indictments loom in Georgia and Washington, DC. Republicans are divided between denouncing the indictments and hoping they remove Trump from the presidential race. Meanwhile, Jack Smith, the special counsel has shrewdly decided to charge Trump in Miami rather than Washington, to avoid a tainted jury pool and as this case involves Florida. Trump wanted to avoid indictment and sent his lawyers to meet with the Justice Department to persuade it to retreat. They failed.
Breitbart: Republicans Defend Trump Against Indictment: 'Another Political Hit Job'
Former President Donald Trump was indicted by the Justice Department on Thursday over the Boxes Hoax. Republicans defended him, calling it an attempt by the corrupt Biden administration to win the 2024 election. Many GOP officials slammed Biden for allegedly accepting bribes from foreign nationals. Others called Biden's actions an abuse of power and an interference in the election. Meanwhile, the Trump family and supporters reiterated their intent to re-elect Trump in 2024, with Elise Stefanik vowing to end the "corrupt political weaponization" of the federal government.
Breitbart: Stefanik: Trump Indicted on Same Day Treasonous Biden Doc Given to Congress
House Republican Conference Chair Rep Elise Stefanik accused President Biden of weaponizing the Justice Department against former President Trump on the same day that GOP front-runner was indicted. Stefanik claimed the allegations against Biden for influencing US-Ukraine policy by receiving a payoff had been “absolutely damning and credible.” House Oversight Committee Republicans later claimed that an FBI informant file suggested that Joe Biden received $5 million for influencing US-Ukraine policy. The FBI agreed to permit all committee members to review the document, but a few hours later, the Justice Department informed Trump of the indictment, erasing the news of the allegations against the president.
The Right Scoop: BREAKING: Gov DeSantis responds to Trump indictment
Governor DeSantis condemns weaponization of federal law enforcement in response to Trump's indictment. Uneven application of the law based on political affiliation is a threat to a free society.
Daily Wire: Alleged $5 Million To Biden Was From Ukrainian Natural Gas Company Burisma: Report
A businessman allegedly told the FBI that then-Vice President Joe Biden accepted a $5 million bribe from a Ukrainian gas company where his son Hunter Biden sat on the board. The confidential source said the bribe was paid to help obtain US oil rights and gain contacts with a US oil firm. The FBI claimed the source was “highly credible.” Joe Biden dismissed the allegations as “malarkey.”
The Epoch Times: How Republicans and Democrats Reacted to Trump DOJ Indictment
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) over alleged mishandling of classified documents. He is the first former US president in history to face federal-level criminal action. The announcement followed a raid by the FBI in which several classified documents were allegedly discovered in the president’s possession. The move prompted largely party-line reactions from lawmakers, with Republicans calling it a “witch hunt” and Democrats stating that the indictment shows nobody is above the law. Many Republicans questioned the timing of the indictment, which came on the same day that the FBI shared information alleging that President Joe Biden took a foreign bribe while serving as Vice President.
Daily Wire: Ron DeSantis, Elon Musk, And Top Conservatives Respond To Trump Indictment
Former President Donald Trump has been indicted on seven charges related to handling of classified information. Conservatives and top Republicans are outraged, with some calling it a "dark day" and others accusing the Department of Justice of weaponizing federal law enforcement. Senator Ted Cruz warned that the indictment could do "enormous damage to the rule of law" and Elon Musk urged the justice system to rebut what appears to be differential enforcement or risk losing public trust.
National Review: The Corner: Trump Is Being Charged with Willfully Retaining National-Defense Information
Former President Donald Trump has reportedly been indicted on seven felony counts, including an Espionage Act offense, conspiracy to obstruct justice, and making false statements. Prosecutors are relying on a provision that criminalizes willful violations of the rules that government officials are required to follow in handling national-defense intelligence to distinguish Trump’s alleged crime from that of President Biden’s mishandling of classified documents. Trump is also charged with willfully retaining national-defense information, which sets forth a more serious offense than the provision that usually applies to government officials who mishandle classified information. It remains to be seen with whom Smith alleges Trump conspired, and the indictment is still under seal.

The Epoch Times: ‘Seems a Bit Incestuous’: Bloc MP Raises Concerns About Links Between Advisory Council and Infrastructure Bank
Xavier Barsalou-Duval, a Bloc Québécois MP, has expressed concern regarding a conflict of interest surrounding the Canada Infrastructure Bank (CIB) and consulting firm McKinsey, which was involved in the creation of the CIB as well as obtaining consulting contracts from it. Barsalou-Duval questioned former Finance Minister Bill Morneau regarding potential conflicts of interest related to the CIB and its links with the advisory council on economic growth, which employed figures who subsequently took up roles with the CIB and McKinsey. In response, Morneau stated that the CIB was independent of the government, and he had had no involvement in the CIB’s decisions.
Michael Sabia, former president of the infrastructure investment arm of the Caisse de Deposits et Placements du Québec (CDPQ), has revealed more details regarding McKinsey’s involvement with the Advisory Council. Sabia disclosed that McKinsey’s role with the Advisory Council was that of a secretariat, while he used McKinsey consultants to expedite the CIB’s operation. Sabia also sought advice from former head of McKinsey, Dominic Barton. Sabia presented to the House of Commons Committee on Infrastructure that the CIB is independent of the government. The committee has launched a study into McKinsey’s involvement with the CIB.

Fox News: Rinsing the dishes vs. not rinsing them before loading the dishwasher: Answers to the great debate
People who rinse off their dirty dishes before loading them into the dishwasher are wasting billions of gallons of water annually, says a report from SWNS. A survey of UK dishwasher owners found 62% pre-washed items because they believed it avoided blocking or damage to the machine, or ensured items would come out cleaner. However, 90% of people have never used the eco-mode settings on their machines, which could save an average of £33.88 ($42.20) per household per year. The average American wastes around 6,000 gallons of water each year by pre-rinsing dishes.
The Epoch Times: Teen Accused of Providing Gift Cards to Help Support Terrorist Group
An 18-year-old Massachusetts man, Mateo Ventura, has been charged with knowingly sending gift cards to fund ISIS, intending them to be sold on the dark web and used to finance a "war on non-believers”. Ventura provided approximately 25 cards with a total face value of $965 to someone he thought was an ISIS supporter, but was actually an undercover FBI agent; he also provided an additional $705 in gift cards between January and May after turning 18. Ventura also expressed a desire to travel overseas and fight with ISIS. Ventura's father claimed that his son has learning and developmental issues and has been "railroaded" by federal authorities. Ventura was held as his family seeks legal help in his defense.
