Flag And Cross: Tesla Hits Record High For 2023 In Premarket: What's Happening?
Tesla Inc. shares rose in premarket trading, with the possibility of extending the winning streak to nine straight sessions. This is mainly due to the broader market strength achieved on the back of the enactment of the budget deal that averted a potential economic catastrophe and expectations that the Federal Reserve would pause when it meets next week. Investors continue to be excited by the company’s upcoming Cybertruck launch and the Model 3 refresh. The stock is currently trading below the average analysts’ price target of $199, compiled by TipRanks.
Tesla’s Model Y electric vehicle has become the world’s best-selling car in the first quarter of 2023. The stock’s buoyancy saw an increase due to the enactment of the budget deal that averted a potential economic catastrophe and its upcoming Cybertruck launch. The Cybertruck is expected to be a big hit for Tesla as it will compete with other EV trucks in the market. However, fundamentally, not much has changed as demand for its vehicles has not taken off despite the company’s aggressive price cuts. Investors expect sell-side firms to raise their price targets for Tesla in the coming days, citing the stock overshooting their price objective.

The Federalist Papers: AOC Is One Election Away From Chairing Committee In Charge of US Oil and Gas Drilling on Public Lands
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, known for pushing the Green New Deal, may chair the House subcommittee overseeing oil and gas drilling on public lands. This comes as she reintroduces the controversial Green New Deal and supports the Inflation Reduction Act, which seeks to decrease coal-fired power and promote green energy projects. This could be a threat to US oil and gas production if Democrats secure control over the House. Fellow progressives, Ro Khanna and Edward Markey, have unveiled the "Green New Deal for Health," which would incur costly climate policies throughout the US health care system. An intention to consolidate progressive power in the House suggests an increase in high-ranking roles for climate-focused progressives.
Red State: Reporter Calls Gavin Newsom's Bluff on 'Criminality' Allegation Against Ron DeSantis
California Governor, Gavin Newsom, continues to throw insults at GOP presidential nominee Ron DeSantis via Twitter, accusing him of kidnapping illegal immigrants. However, footage has been released showing DeSantis having followed proper protocols when transporting migrants to California and Newsom backtracked in recent interviews, stating that charges might not be applicable. This is consistent with Newsom's approach of firing off accusations without first verifying the facts.
The Blaze: Missouri gov signs bills banning gender surgeries and hormones for minors: 'We must protect children'
Missouri Governor Mike Parson signed into law two bills that ban male participation in female sports at educational institutions and gender-transition surgeries and hormones for minors. SB39 prohibits educational institutions from allowing biological male students to participate in female sports teams. Schools that violate the law will not get any state aid or other revenues from the state. SB49 bans health care providers from performing gender-transition surgeries or prescribing hormones or drugs for those under 18. Violators will have their health care provider license revoked, and taxpayer dollars will not go toward elective gender-transition procedures.

The Epoch Times: David Krayden: More Absurd News Out of Calgary: Pro-Life Protests Now Being Targeted
Calgary City Council has passed a bylaw that fines pro-life abortion protesters $1,000 if they possess uncensored pictures of aborted fetuses. They are also prohibited from protesting within 100 meters of designated recreation facilities or libraries. Calgary continues to promote drag queen story hours for children, but cancels Canada Day celebrations due to political correctness. Abortion is not popular in Canada, and it should be open for continued debate. The government's euphemisms for killing are disgraceful. Abortion is controversial and should be debatable, but the state's full government consent for the abortion death industry infringes upon the basic freedom of the right to life. Calgary doesn't want to see the truth because evil operates best in the dark.
The New American: Tensions Are Rising in the East — Is World War III Closer Than Ever? - The New American

Later, Veronika Kyrylenko interviews Dr. Tess Lawrie of the World Council for Health, who discusses the evolution of the organization's mission from advocating Covid early treatments to countering the Great Reset, and British presenter Neil Oliver, who warns against a "satanically dark" future if people don't resist the Western political establishment's control.

The Babylon Bee: ‘The Russians Blew Up Our Dam!’ Says Zelensky While Still Holding Detonation Plunger Thingy
Ukrainian President Zelensky claims Russians blew up their dam and asks Congress for $60 billion in aid.
Daily Wire: Questions Around Kakhovka Dam Collapse Echo Mysterious Sabotage Of Nord Stream
Speculation and finger-pointing have emerged between Ukraine and Russia after the collapse of the Kakhovka dam. Moscow and Kyiv have blamed each other, with Moscow alleging Ukraine struck the dam and hydroelectric plant with missiles to cut off the water supply to Russian-occupied Crimea, while Kyiv said Russian agents blew the dam and power plant. A similar situation occurred after multiple explosions in Nord Stream pipelines 1 and 2 last year, when both sides accused one another with no clear evidence.
While initial suspicions from European officials pointed to Russia, theories now suggest that the US may have a role in blowing up Nord Stream. Leaked classified documents suggest that Ukraine’s military leadership was plotting to destroy the pipeline months before it was blown, with the details of the plan bearing striking resemblances to what investigators suspect may have taken place. Tucker Carlson's new show has also focused on Ukraine's interest in seeing the dam fall. The failure flooded communities downriver and forced emergency response teams to evacuate thousands of civilians.

Spectator USA: Saudi Arabia’s blood money owns sports
Top soccer players like Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo are accepting eye-watering sums of money to play for Saudi Arabian teams despite the country's abysmal human rights record. Benzema will receive $107 million a season to play for al-Ittihad, while Ronaldo plays for al-Nassr and nets a massive $218 million a season. The Saudis aren't just interested in soccer either, as they are investing in other sports like golf and motor racing in a bid for global respectability. This strategy is known as sportwashing and is being deployed by the Saudis to great effect, upsetting many who argue that politics and sports should not mix.
Many are horrified by this Saudi blood money takeover as international sports stars are being paid massive sums of money to look the other way on the regime's well-documented human rights abuses. It is a very obviously cynical strategy called sportwashing. The country is trying to rebrand itself as a tourist and sporting destination, a place where sporting superstars are happy to play and where international attention is shifted away from criticisms of the country’s political situation and abuses of human rights. The regime's use of human rights abuses, such as writer Jamal Khashoggi's murder, and the death penalty as punishment for crimes, including against women, raise questions as to how sport and politics can remain separate in this context.
Washington Free Beacon: Supreme Court-Bashing Kamala Harris Says Israel Needs 'Independent Judiciary'
Kamala Harris lectured Israelis about the need for "an independent judiciary" while criticizing Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu's judicial reforms. Harris, who has criticized the U.S. Supreme Court, blasted the body as "an activist Court" that took away a "constitutional right" and cast doubt on its legitimacy. Israeli foreign minister Eli Cohen said that Harris didn't know what she was talking about. Netanyahu has suspended the reforms to negotiate a consensus with opposition parties.

The Epoch Times: Space Command’s Move to Alabama in Jeopardy After Biden Visit to Colorado
President Biden may reverse the military’s decision to relocate the US Space Command to Huntsville, Alabama, given its focus on national defense and operational capability, according to Republican Mayor John Suthers of Colorado Springs, which currently houses the Space Command headquarters. This is despite the Defense Department’s use of objective criteria to select Huntsville as the permanent location for the headquarters, and the GOP’s calls for the administration to proceed. However, Colorado Democrats, led by Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper, are lobbying strenuously for the reversal, with some citing Alabama’s pro-life law as a factor, although the military’s criteria do not include abortion or other political issues. The US Space Command’s relocation is being considered in the context of China’s rapid space capabilities.

Backpacker: Is It Safe to Hike in Wildfire Smoke?
Super-size wildfires are increasing in frequency and duration, meaning hikers in western US areas may experience significant smoke impacts. Wildfire smoke contains fine particles that can cause health problems from mild to extreme, especially for kids, older people, and those with pre-existing health conditions. Hiking in smoky conditions should be a personal choice based on experience, and hikers should check air quality reports before heading out and estimate smoke levels using landmarks to determine if conditions are hazardous.

CNBC.com media reporter Alex Sherman criticized Licht for killing off CNN+, which could have been a north star for the network.
