Washington Free Beacon: Inside the Whirlwind 48 Hours Before Hunter Biden Bought His Handgun
Hunter Biden was investigated for multiple potential offences related to his Oct. 12, 2018, gun purchase, including lying on a federal firearms application. Emails, photographs and text messages from Hunter Biden’s laptop reveal he was being hounded about hundreds of thousands of dollars he owed in debts and appears to have been an active drug user at the time of his gun purchase. The texts showed coordination on a potential drug deal with someone named only as "Q" at a 7-Eleven, later cancelled and replaced with a meeting at Jon Jon's house. Hallie Biden also had to deal with Hunter Biden’s drug addiction and scattered behavior.
Despite federal agents believing there is enough evidence for the Department of Justice to bring charges against Hunter Biden, the DOJ has not pressed charges and refused to comment on the investigation. The Secret Service was also brought onto the case, which includes potential tax crimes. Meanwhile, Minnesota warns that ingesting marijuana would make residents ineligible to possess a firearm or ammunition. Joe Biden has pledged not to interfere with the investigations, but has defended his son from allegations of unlawful conduct.
American Thinker: Is Trump The Best Candidate For 2024?
Trump's style was off-putting, but many voted for him knowing the alternative was intolerable. He got things done, but didn't drain the swamp. He attacked two of his most loyal former employees, Kayleigh McEnany and Jenna Ellis, and appears to believe in the bluster and bombast method of governing. Is Trump starting a slide toward senility? DeSantis seems like a better choice.

American Thinker: Professor labels Target boycotters ‘domestic terrorists’
A University of Michigan professor called boycotts against Target "economic terrorism" after the company lost $9 billion in market value due to backlash over its LGBTQ Pride collection. The professor stated that when companies cave in to threats, it creates fear among workers and allows people to control the company's policies. Many LGBTQ organizations have demanded that Target restock the Pride collection and release a statement reaffirming their commitment to the LGBTQ+ community within 24 hours, calling those who prompted Target to remove items from stores "domestic terrorists."

Fox News: Air India plane flying to San Francisco lands in Russia after engine problem, US citizens 'likely' onboard
A U.S.-bound Air India Boeing 777, carrying 216 passengers and 16 crew members, made an emergency landing in Magadan, Russia, due to an engine problem. Air India confirmed that passengers were eventually moved to makeshift accommodations, and a relief aircraft will depart from Mumbai to take them to San Francisco. The flight was "likely" carrying U.S. citizens, but American officials couldn't immediately confirm how many were on board.
Passengers on the Air India flight stranded in Magadan, which reportedly doesn't have Air India staff, were accommodated in "cramped living quarters," according to a video shared on Twitter. Family and friends on social media have expressed their frustration over what they describe as a lack of information. Relief aircraft is scheduled to arrive on May 6 to take stranded Air India passengers to their final destination in San Francisco.

Forbes: White Woman Arrested In Florida For Shooting Of Black Neighbor Ajike ‘AJ’ Owens
Susan Lorincz was arrested in Florida for shooting her neighbor Ajike Owens, who later died, following a dispute involving Owens’ children on Lorincz’s property. Police are investigating whether the shooting was permissible under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, which allows the use of deadly force if the person “reasonably believes that using or threatening to use such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony.” Lorincz had claimed she was acting in self-defense, but law enforcement determined the situation was “simply a killing” and manslaughter charges have been brought against her.
