University demands conservative students pay $18,000 in security, damage fees after leftists riot at their event — even though school officials allegedly encouraged protests
The University of Pittsburgh demanded that conservative students pay $18,734 in security and damage fees after a mob of 250 leftist protesters rioted at their event. The University initially informed the students that the event would cost $2,000 in security fees, however, as the date neared, the costs increased substantially, the legal firm stated. ADF insisted that school officials encouraged students to protest the debate.

UPitt conservatives fined over $18,000 in damage fees after protesters wreaked havoc at event: 'Outrageous'
Two conservative groups at University of Pittsburgh are being asked to pay over $18,000 for security and damage fees following an April debate on LGBTQ+ issues where chaos ensued and an explosion was set off. The groups are resisting, alleging the university’s move violates their First Amendment rights. A senior counsel for conservative legal organisation Alliance Defending Freedom, Philip A. Sechler, called charging the groups so much money for a campus event prohibitively expensive speech, better known as the “heckler’s veto” and has urged the university to rescind the fee and protect everyone’s freedom of speech.

American Thinker: It’s time for Congress to rein in the federal judiciary
It’s time for Congress to rein in the federal judiciary
Leftists have fled to the federal court system after the Florida legislature passed a law protecting kids from gender-affirming care. The law was blocked by Judge Robert Hinkle, a Clinton appointee in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, who ruled that gender identity is real. This judicial overreach highlights the need for an eventual Republican-led government to rein in the federal judiciary.

The Federalist Papers: Trump Extends Huge Invitation to Children's Choir Stopped by Capitol Police for Singing National Anthem
Trump Extends Huge Invitation to Children's Choir Stopped by Capitol Police for Singing National Anthem
The Rushingbrook Children's Choir, which was interrupted by Capitol Police during a performance of the national anthem at the U.S. Capitol last month, has been invited by former President Donald Trump to sing at one of his upcoming rallies in South Carolina. The Capitol Police deny stopping the performance out of fear it might offend someone, instead saying that "demonstrations and musical performances are not allowed in the U.S. Capitol." However, the founder of the children's choir disputes this and claims three representatives provided them with documents allowing the choir to perform. The choir's performance was interrupted, but they will now have the opportunity to complete it in front of a much larger audience with the former president as the guest of honor.

Fox News: McCarthy blames conservatives' House floor revolt on possible Scalise 'miscalculation'
McCarthy blames conservatives' House floor revolt on possible Scalise 'miscalculation'
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy reprimanded his top deputy, Steve Scalise, for the chaos that erupted on the House floor on Tuesday, which led to a procedural measure being tanked by 11 hard-line Republicans, with McCarthy admitting to being "blindsided". The rebels accused GOP leadership of exacting revenge against Rep. Andrew Clyde for his attempt to block the debt limit bill from coming to a vote in the House. Many members of the conservative House Freedom Caucus will blockade further action on the chamber floor over anger at McCarthy for how he handled the debt limit deal struck between him and President Biden over Memorial Day weekend.

McCarthy expressed confidence he would emerge from the current drama unscathed, saying that he doesn't think not winning on the first vote for speaker is a bad thing. His and Scalise's alliance has faced reports of tension in the past, despite Scalise asserting they have a strong relationship. Although Scalise supported McCarthy during all 15 rounds of the speaker vote in January, his name was still floated by some GOP lawmakers as a possible alternative to the former Minority Leader at the time. McCarthy will bring Rep. Clyde's bill for a vote next week.

REPORT: DOJ Indictment of Donald Trump Imminent, Charges Revealed
Donald Trump may be indicted next week by Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is investigating the former president for allegedly violating 18 US Code Chapter 37 Section 793, which prohibits the “gathering, transmitting or losing” of national defense information. Other charges being considered are alleged false statements and obstruction of justice. Republicans may be infuriated by the timing of the indictment, as it could interfere with Trump's potential Republican nomination and result in the biggest example of election interference in American history.

Too Little, Too Late! 4 Cases Show Draconian Nature of YouTube’s Election Censorship Policy
YouTube has changed its election misinformation policy, acknowledging that its censorship caused "devastating damage" spanning "two years, tens of thousands of video removals, and one election cycle later." The platform will no longer remove content that advances false claims about election fraud, instead trying to "curb some misinformation" and preserve political speech without "meaningfully reducing the risk of violence or other real-world harm." The change comes after suspensions, deletions, and video removals that appear to have been based on the politics of the content, and with little or no transparency in the process.

Despite communicating through telepathy, the aliens could not comprehend why humans were so fixated on gender and sex during talks about joining an alliance of free planets. Republican Wisconsin bills restricting unemployment benefits set for final approval
Wisconsin Republicans aim to tighten unemployment benefit requirements, with bills proposing stricter qualification requirements and identity verification checks. Republican Assembly Speaker Robin Vos cited voter support for able-bodied adults looking for work to receive government assistance, but Democratic Governor Tony Evers vetoed almost identical legislation in his first term and is expected to do so again. The bills include provisions allowing employers to report benefit recipients who decline or don't attend interviews, with benefits rescinded for those repeatedly reported with no good reason. Major business groups support the measures, while unions and Democrats oppose them.

Flag And Cross: Kim Kardashian's Bid To Dismiss EthereumMax Lawsuit Rejected Over 'Literally False' Promotions
Kim Kardashian's Bid To Dismiss EthereumMax Lawsuit Rejected Over 'Literally False' Promotions
Reality TV star Kim Kardashian, former boxer Floyd Mayweather, and former NBA star Paul Pierce have been accused of misleading investors by falsely promoting EthereumMax (EMAX), a cryptocurrency. Kardashian was unable to dismiss the lawsuit against her, while Mayweather successfully received a favorable ruling as the judge concluded that his public statements regarding the potential growth of EMAX were benign and didn’t carry legal implications. The judge rejected arguments by Kardashian's lawyers that he should dismiss the false advertising claims and investors are also suing several EMAX co-founders and consultants in addition to celebrity promoters.

In October 2021, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that Kardashian had agreed to pay $1.26 million to settle allegations that she broke U.S. rules by promoting EMAX without disclosing that she was paid $250,000 to post on her Instagram account about the token. Kardashian settled without admitting or denying the SEC allegations. Legal proceedings continue to unfold, and the price and performance of EMAX may experience fluctuations influenced by market sentiment and investor reactions to the ongoing developments in the aftermath of the Kardashian SEC fine.

The Epoch Times: We Celebrate With Steak! So That’s What We’re Cooking This Father’s Day
We Celebrate With Steak! So That’s What We’re Cooking This Father’s Day
Reverse sear is a new technique for cooking tomahawk steak attributed to cookbook author J. Kenji Lopez-Alt. It involves ultra-low heat followed by high-heat searing, resulting in a perfectly cooked and smoky steak. This method works well for entertaining because it allows the cook more control and can be done in the oven or on the grill. The steak is seasoned with a flavorful rub, served with a pat of butter seasoned with the same rub, and can be accompanied by grilled potatoes and shishito peppers.
