Breitbart: Minnesota Taxpayers to Subsidize Free College Tuition for Illegal Aliens
Minnesota will offer state taxpayer-funded college and university tuition to illegal aliens from families earning less than $80,000 annually, at no cost to them. Gov. Tim Walz (D) approved the measure, which also grants eligibility for native Minnesotans to the tuition-free program. The expansion will come at considerable cost to taxpayers, as an estimated 140,000 illegal aliens reside in Minnesota today.

PJ Media: BREAKING: Tucker Carlson Launches New Twitter Show
Tucker Carlson was taken off the air by Fox News after a huge settlement with Dominion Voting Systems. He revealed his plans to relaunch his show on Twitter. In the first episode of his new show, Carlson expressed his belief that American citizens may be the least informed people in the world. He also asserted that our country seems so dysfunctional because nobody knows what’s really happening and the media are actively hostile to anybody who is in journalism. Carlson ended the segment by explaining his decision to take his show to Twitter, saying he hopes it will be “the shortwave radio under the blankets,” but pointed out that there’s no guarantee he’ll stay there.
The Epoch Times: Republicans Warn of Blackouts Under Toughest-Ever 'Green' Power Plant Standards
Republicans argue that the new standards for power plant emissions may risk U.S. power reliability, with warnings of potential power shortfalls and grid challenges. They criticize President Biden's climate agenda and the Environmental Protection Agency's greenhouse gas emissions standards, particularly relating to coal and natural gas-fired power generation. Fossil fuel supporters reject the rules' reliance on carbon capture, sequestration, and storage, and argue that it harms communities of color and raises energy bills. Democrats defend the rules, calling them a modest rule that builds on existing market trends and giving power operators flexibility while benefitting the environment and economy.
The Epoch Times: Hillary Clinton's Nonprofit Donated $300,000 to Just Stop Oil Funders
Former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton's organization, Onward Together, has donated $300,000 to the eco-activists Just Stop Oil, which protests against the government's awarding of new oil contracts to businesses. Just Stop Oil has conducted illegal actions, including blocking access to petrol stations and parts of the UK's busiest motorway, and has resulted in over 2,100 arrests and 138 sentences. Climate Emergency Fund has awarded millions to an international network of activists which they call the “disruptive arm of the global climate movement.”
The Epoch Times: Trump Decries 'Marxists and Fascists' in DOJ, FBI 'Going After Me' in Classified Documents Probe
Former President Donald Trump criticized the DOJ and FBI on his Truth social media account on Tuesday over their investigation into his handling of classified documents. Trump alleged that he is being unfairly targeted by “Marxists and Fascists” within the agencies. He also compared his case to the investigations of classified documents found in homes and offices belonging to President Joe Biden and former Vice President Mike Pence. The DOJ recently closed its investigation into Pence and declined to pursue charges, while Hunter Biden, the son of the sitting president, is currently under investigation for possible tax fraud and lying about his drug use on a federal firearm purchase form.

The Epoch Times: How to Reverse Course in California
California faces numerous challenges including homelessness, wildfires, earthquakes, crime, and a declining infrastructure. Proposals to reverse course and set the state on a path of freedom, law and order, and prosperity include electing common sense conservatives and moderates, lifting burdensome local and state regulations on businesses, restoring cash bail for felony crimes and enforcing laws, stopping wasteful spending on homelessness, allowing for more competition in public education, scrapping the high-speed rail boondoggle, downsizing government programs, and pandering to the hardworking majority who adhere to worthy values. The implementation of these solutions could increase the likelihood of California returning to lawfulness and prosperity.
The Epoch Times: RFK Jr. and the Assassination of Free Speech
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a Democratic presidential candidate, is being heavily censored on social media, except for Twitter. He advocates responsible questioning of mainstream narratives, and people deserve the freedom to make up their own minds without being strongarmed by mainstream media and Big Tech.
The Epoch Times: Sweeping Changes Proposed to NZ Electoral System 'Straight From Green Party Manifesto': ACT Leader
A panel is proposing changes to modernize New Zealand's electoral processes. The major recommendations outlined in the draft report include allowing all prisoners and New Zealanders who live overseas long-term to vote, lowering the voting age to sixteen, and extending parliamentary terms from three to four years. Some politicians have said such legislation is setting New Zealand on a course for permanent left-wing government. Prime Minister Chris Hipkins has already indicated that his government would not work towards lowering the voting age for general elections because such legislation would unlikely gain the support needed to pass in Parliament.
The Epoch Times: Republicans Considering Legislation to Counter 'Lawfare' Abuse
Left-wing activists and government officials are using collusive litigation to achieve policy objectives and advance their goals, a congressional panel heard on June 6. Named lawfare, this involves activists suing the government with the aim of reaching a pre-planned settlement that advances the goals of both parties. The process lets regulatory agencies avoid the Administrative Procedure Act, resulting in governmental spending that is disconnected from congressional oversight or approval. Critics argue that lawfare is mainly employed by left-wing environmentalists to pressure the Environmental Protection Agency to advance policy goals. The remarks were made at a hearing held by the Republican-controlled House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government about abuses in government litigation.
Civil asset forfeiture is sometimes used by police to seize property from individuals, even if they have not been convicted of a crime. This practice, sometimes called “policing for profit,” was described as unjustified and abusive by lawmakers during the hearing. Presently, federal law lodges responsibility for seizing assets on the state, and state agencies can rely on relaxed federal laws to confiscate property. The chairman of the panel called for reform to federal law that would see the standards for such proceedings standardized across the United States. A Supreme Court case has helped to address civil asset forfeiture. In its ruling on Timbs v Indiana, the Supreme Court unanimously decided that a constitutional bar on excessive fines applies to all states, not just the federal government.
The Epoch Times: Then There Were 11: Chris Christie Joins Republican Race for White House
Chris Christie announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination, taking a shot at front-runner Donald Trump, Dubbed a "tell it like it is" candidate, Christie criticized Trump's idea to build a border wall and jokingly said Mexico hadn't "given us one peso." He also warned voters of a leader who hasn't made any mistakes. Despite being hit with a scandal about an alleged gridlock in New Jersey in which aides were accused of orchestrating to punish a politician who wouldn't support Christie's re-election campaign, Christie didn't directly mention it, but, when asked, called it a humiliating mistake. He's reportedly sticking to his campaign slogan despite poll results revealing he's the least supported candidate.
The Epoch Times: Orange County Bans Display of Non-Governmental Flag on County Facilities After Heated Debate
Orange County limits flags on county properties to only the United States, state, county, and POW/MIA flags to maintain government neutrality and prevent division, according to a motion approved by the Board of Supervisors. The motion's initiator, Andrew Do, emphasized that prioritizing any other flags over these three would only invite controversy and divisiveness. While supporters claimed it was not targeting any particular flag or group, protest speakers were concerned that the motion was focused on lowering visibility for the LGBT community. Supervisors Katrina Foley and Vicente Sarmiento opposed the motion, saying it would introduce disunion to the community, and flying non-governmental flags could lead to endless future debate about why certain flags can be flown and others not.
The Blaze: Matt Walsh offers to respond to Rolling Stone's comment request on one condition: 'I will provide a comment for your hit piece if you can define the word 'woman''
Matt Walsh, a conservative commentator of the Daily Wire, has offered to comment on allegations of transphobic content only on the condition that the Rolling Stone reporter first defines the word "woman." The reporter had reached out to Walsh to request his opinion on right-wing influencers increasingly posting transphobic content, and citing him as an example. Walsh, who has made the subject an area of focus in recent years, has been an outspoken opponent of radical leftist gender ideology and was behind the "What is a Woman?" documentary. He argues that the logic of the left-wing's gender-bending zeitgeist means "anyone can be anything and no words have any meaning."
Daily Wire: Comer Goes Scorched-Earth Against FBI Over Biden-Ukraine Bribery Allegations
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced that the committee will move forward with holding FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress for refusing to produce a file containing allegations of corruption involving President Joe Biden and Ukraine. The FBI confirmed an unclassified record alleging Biden engaged in a bribery scheme with a foreign national and is from a credible informant. If the full House, which is narrowly controlled by Republicans, were to approve a criminal contempt referral to the Department of Justice (DOJ), Wray could face a fine and up to a year’s imprisonment if federal prosecutors take up the case.
PJ Media: After Threats, AOC Twitter Parody Account Goes Down
A parody account mocking Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was taken down from Twitter after gaining significant attention, despite being a recognized form of legitimate speech. Twitter has not commented on the situation, but the account had been warned against by Ocasio-Cortez, who claimed it was releasing false policy statements. The account had been "verified," which may have confused some users, but it made it clear in its description that it was a parody. Some argue that Twitter is a de facto public square and that free speech protections should be extended to parody accounts.
National Review: Chris Christie Announces Presidential Run, Takes Aim at Trump: ‘Self-Serving Mirror-Hog’
Former New Jersey governor Chris Christie announced his candidacy for the Republican presidential nomination on Tuesday night, taking aim at Donald Trump as a “lonely, self-consumed, self-serving mirror-hog,” and promising “some straight talk from New Jersey.” In his speech, Christie argued that “character matters” and that our recent presidents have all made the country “smaller in every way” by dividing Americans into smaller and smaller groups. He also criticized other Republican candidates, presumably including Florida governor Ron DeSantis, for talking about issues that are “so small that sometimes it’s hard to even understand them.”
Christie, who previously ran for president in 2016 and is pitching himself as an unabashed truth-teller, appears to be running to lead the explicitly anti-Trump lane of the primary. While other Republican candidates have tiptoed around calling out the former president, Christie said it is critical to address Trump. However, it is not clear that Republican voters are looking to turn to a pre-Trump-style leader, and it is also not clear that Christie will ever have the opportunity to debate Trump again, as candidates will need to have at least 1 percent support in several qualifying polls and at least 40,000 donors to get on the debate stage, according to new Republican National Committee rules, and Trump has suggested he might skip the primary debates.
Breitbart: 'Nannygate': 'Drug Addict' Ambassador Drags Colombia's Socialist President into Illegal Wiretap Scandal
Far-left Colombian President Gustavo Petro faced scandal dubbed Niñeragate ("Nannygate"), as accusations of abuse of power and illegal wiretapping involving two allies emerged. Nanny Marelbys Meza accused Petro's chief of staff Laura Sarabia of forcing her to take a polygraph test in the basement of a building adjacent to the Colombian presidential palace in late January for stealing. Benedetti, Colombian Ambassador to Venezuela, threatened to reveal the "truth" about the financing of Petro's presidential campaign, leading to an official probe into the campaign for not reporting payments to electoral witnesses.

The Epoch Times: Federal Judge Allows Transgender Procedures for Minors Who Sued Florida Over Bans
A federal judge has temporarily blocked part of a Florida law that bans transgender procedures for minors, due to ongoing litigation. The decision focuses on three children whose parents brought the lawsuit on their behalf, and permits them to continue to receive puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to deal with gender dysphoria. The judge ruled that the ban, which includes the use of puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones, had “no rational basis” and is unconstitutional. The ruling does not apply to the law regarding adults’ access to transgender procedures; the law, which outlaws transgender surgery and puberty blockers for minors, remains in effect.
The Epoch Times: San Francisco: It’s a Good Thing Homelessness Only Happens Between 7 A.M. and 7 P.M.
San Francisco's newest program, HEART, aims to help the homeless by taking non-emergency calls and reducing the burden on the police department. But HEART lacks a brain as it only operates between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekends. Homelessness is a community problem that requires 24/7 coverage by professionals, not the police. While San Francisco may have a HEART, it still needs a brain to effectively address its homeless problem.

The Epoch Times: Assyrians Seek Congressional Support for Resolution Recognizing 20th Century Christian Genocide
Assyrians gathered in Washington, D.C. to support a bipartisan resolution recognizing the Simele massacre, a Muslim-backed massacre of Christian Assyrians during the mid-20th century. The measure, sponsored by Reps. Debbie Lesko (R-Ariz.) and Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), would recognize the genocide for legal purposes and encourage education and understanding of the facts. Assyrians have faced political upheaval, leading to diaspora and continued suffering, and hope that the resolution will bring attention to the "martyrs" who died in the massacre and prevent future atrocities.
Breitbart: Report: World Food Program's Ethiopian Leaders Resign over Missing Food
Senior officials at the World Food Program (WFP) in Ethiopia have resigned following an investigation into the disappearance of vital food aid, believed to appear on the black market. The mass disappearance of food led to the WFP announcing in May that it would no longer attempt to bring food aid to northern Tigray, and similarly to the US' humanitarian agency, USAID, suspending operations. The Ethiopian government had previously blockaded Tigray to deprive the Marxist TPLF of supplies, however, criminals have been stealing international aid. This suspension of aid fueled widespread protests in Ethiopia, particularly for the displaced Tigrayans now deprived of their only source of food.
It has been confirmed that the head of the WFP's Ethiopia operations, Claude Jibidar, and deputy Jennifer Bitonde, resigned from their positions following an internal investigation launched last month into the reports of significant amounts of food meant for Tigray being sold on the commercial market. The Tigrayan authorities attempted to convince the WFP and USAID not to suspend their operations shortly after announcing the suspension of aid, however, no changes were made. This report comes following conflict, blockades, and confusion in the Tigray region, leading Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the W.H.O. and a TPLF member, to comment, saying that the "six million people of Tigray have been under a suffocating siege that has killed people, not only with bullets or bombs but by weaponising banking, fuel, food, electricity, and healthcare”.

The Epoch Times: New 787 Dreamliner Issue Could Slow Delivery of 90 Jets in Boeing's Inventory
Boeing has discovered a new production flaw involving a fitting for the 787 Dreamliner’s horizontal stabilizer. The problem, which does not pose a flight safety issue, has prompted the company to slow down deliveries and inspect all 90 Dreamliners in its inventory. Boeing expects it will take two weeks to fix each aircraft. The US Federal Aviation Administration has validated Boeing's assessment that there is no immediate safety issue for 787s already in service, but no new airworthiness certificates will be issued until the matter is addressed to its satisfaction. The latest 787 production defect comes as Boeing grapples with a 737 bracket installation issue disclosed in April, which slowed deliveries of the bestselling MAX 8 model.
The Epoch Times: David Stockman: Debt Default, the ‘Doomsday Budget Machine,’ and Failed Fiscal Restraint Explained
David Stockman, former budget director for President Ronald Reagan, warns that capitalism can only function with effectively functioning capital markets. We need real savings from businesses and households, not central banks printing money. Today, the public debt is 120% of GDP, and we can't keep borrowing trillions of dollars a year and leaving it for future generations. Stockman also criticizes the lack of enforcement mechanisms in the recent debt ceiling deal.
The Epoch Times: Australia’s Official Cash Rate Rises to 4.1 Percent in June
The Reserve Bank of Australia raised the official cash rate by 0.25 percent to 4.1 percent, citing high inflation as the main reason. The increase comes after a 0.25 percent rise in May and a brief pause in April. ANZ Bank economists predict another rate hike of 0.25 percent in the coming months.
Australian homeowners and new borrowers will be impacted, while savers could earn more. RateCity estimated that a typical homeowner with a $500,000 loan on a 25-year term would have to pay an extra $76 (US$50.6) a month in mortgage repayment. Savers may be able to earn more by seeking financial institutions offering savings products with rates up to 5.5 percent.

Global consumption is set to grow by 1.6 million barrels per day this year, with an additional 1.7 million bpd forecast for 2024, driven mainly by China. The STEO, meanwhile, has revised its predictions for U.S. crude oil production growth, with output expected to reach 12.6 million bpd this year. The EIA has also reduced its GDP growth rate predictions for 2023 and 2024.

While GM plans to produce electric passenger vehicles only in the United States by 2035, the company is committed to continuing to invest in both internal combustion engines and electric vehicles throughout the next decade. The UAW has called for negotiations to ensure a just transition to the production of electric vehicles.

PJ Media: A Word About Courage
Seventy-nine years ago, U.S. Rangers stormed Pointe Du Hoc near Omaha Beach, embodying the word "courage" in its truest sense: sacrifice and a willingness to give all for a cause greater than oneself. Today, the word is hollowed out and used as a self-congratulatory epithet instead of a word with inexpressible significance and meaning. It takes genuine courage to confront evil, to face the enemy's fire and disobey the primal instinct to flee to safety. The fate of the nation rests upon a positive response to the same question the Rangers answered that day: are we willing to propel ourselves beyond selfish comfort and confront the evil seeking to destroy us?

National Review: The Corner: Cambridge University’s Anglo-Saxon History Department Decides Anglo-Saxons Never Actually Existed
The Cambridge University Department of Anglo-Saxon, Norse and Celtic History will no longer teach that Anglo-Saxons are real due to anti-racist concerns. However, the idea of nationalism is not a myth and has existed since the dawn of humanity. British identity is complex, with various races, ethnicities, and native languages, and the concept of "national identity" dates back to the British Isles themselves. The effort to impose immature American prejudices onto the complexities of European history is comically inapposite, as things were different back then. The construction of national identity is historically contingent and retrospective, and cultural formation is a joy to study.

The Epoch Times: Louisiana Senate Passes Revived Bill Banning 'Gender-Affirming Care' for Trans Minors
Louisiana state Senators approved a ban on hormone treatment, puberty blockers, and sex change surgeries for minors with supportive parents. The “Stop Harming Our Kids Act” bill, previously killed by the Senate Health and Welfare Committee, is expected to pass a House vote following the 29-10 Senate party-line decision. Democrats have opposed the measure, potentially setting up a showdown with Democratic Governor John Bel Edwards, who vetoed a similar bill last year. The amended legislation would push back the effective date of the law to January 1, 2024. Lawmakers in several US states have proposed similar bans.

The CSPC has contacted Mark Zuckerberg over the issue, citing the loungers as "a particularly egregious example" of a dangerous product being sold. Facebook maintains posts featuring recalled products are removed when identified, but that "instances" still occur. The Boppy loungers under recall include Original and Preferred Newborn Loungers and Pottery Barn Kids Boppy Newborn Loungers. More than seven million tonnes of food waste are produced in Australia each year. Similar moves to upcycle food waste in the US and Germany have included beer from discarded bread and cider from fruit waste.
The Epoch Times: We Need Truth Commissions to Restore Faith in Public Health
Two political controversies are undermining the public's faith in medicine, the COVID-19 pandemic emergency, and how to care for children who don't identify with their sex assigned at birth. These issues share certain similarities, involving suspicions that preferred policies are more ideological than scientific. The Norfolk Group, a group of medical notables, is calling for a fact-finding national commission to investigate the country's pandemic response. Similarly, an investigation into gender-affirming care is necessary to understand the large number of young people deciding they're transgender and determine trustworthy methodologies for treating underage patients.
The Epoch Times: California Lawmakers Propose Letting Voters Decide on Harsher Fentanyl Punishment After Setbacks in Legislature
California Republican lawmakers proposed a constitutional amendment to enforce stricter penalties on people caught trafficking fentanyl ahead of the 2024 presidential election. The proposed amendment authorizes Alexandra's Law, which requires warning fentanyl dealers they could face murder charges if any future actions of theirs result in death. It would include language related to fentanyl and the possession of controlled substances, if the legislators vote to have the issue placed on the ballot and if the majority of voters approve. California law enforcement officials seized 20,000 lethal pills recently in Rocklin, a community in the northeastern Sacramento metropolitan area, which is now found in schools and communities throughout the state.

Florida's ban on certain treatments for gender dysphoria in people under 18 has been partially blocked by a federal judge. The order allows three transgender children to continue with their treatment while a lawsuit by seven families challenging the law is being heard. The ban, signed by Governor Ron DeSantis, was criticized by US District Judge Robert Hinkle as being motivated by "bigotry" and is part of a slew of laws passed by states restricting transgender treatments. The families argue the ban violates their equal protection rights under the US Constitution and the right to make medical decisions for their children.

Field & Stream: Wyoming Sues Feds for Inaction on Removing Grizzly Bears from Endangered Species List
Wyoming is suing the Department of the Interior over its failure to decide whether or not to remove grizzly bears from the Endangered Species List. The state has exceeded its population goals for years and believes the bears are fully recovered, while some advocates think they should be hunted like other large big game species in the West. The US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) accepted petitions from Wyoming and Montana to consider delisting the grizzly bear, but it missed the required 12-month determination deadline, leading to the lawsuit. The bears were nearly eradicated from their historic range and have remained federally protected throughout their entire Lower 48 range, despite administrative attempts to delist the species in the last decade.
The Epoch Times: From Coast to Coast, 2023 a Bad Year for Wildfires
Forest fires in Canada have burned through roughly 3.3 million hectares of forest so far in 2023, more than 10 times the 10-year average and threatening to reach record levels for areas burned. The La Nina pattern of cooling the eastern Pacific Ocean has worsened the fires in some areas, with Alberta experiencing particularly high wildfire numbers. Similar conditions to those in 1989 could be expected. While it varies from province to province, all areas are worse than average, with Nova Scotia having banned open fires and Quebec seeing smoke warning and evacuations of more than 10,000 people.

Forbes: Policymakers Need To Deal With Real AI Challenges
The recent statement on mitigating the risk of AI causing human extinction was dismissed by experts as a publicity stunt or fundraising gimmick. Instead, policymakers should focus on real-world challenges that require enforcement of current laws and consideration of revisions to fill legal gaps. Challenges include the enforcement of laws against AI-driven fraud and misinformation, transparency, and copyright compensation. Other issues include employment impacts, privacy challenges, and the enforcement of laws against bias in lending, housing, and employment. Policymakers should not be distracted by apocalyptic warnings of autonomous AI programs threatening human survival.

The Epoch Times: Australia to Create a Marine Park Bigger Than Japan
Australia is set to triple the size of its Macquarie Island marine park, making it far larger than Japan. After rejecting an application for fisheries to trawl through the new marine park, the federal environment minister Tanya Plibersek signed off on a final design for the expansion on June 5, which will allow two fisheries to continue operating. The marine park, established in 1999, currently covers 162,000 square kilometres, with depths from 86 metres to 6,341 metres. It will grow to cover 475,465 square kilometres after the expansion. An area larger than Germany, which makes up 93 percent of the park, will be completely off-limits to fishing, mining, and other extractive activities. Industry representatives have said they support environmental conservation but have concerns about the process.
