He is one of over 1,000 people who have been arrested by Biden's DOJ in connection with the riot.
Breitbart: Departing Nigerian President Apparently Created Fake Airline as Final Act in Office
Outgoing Nigerian President Buhari is accused of creating a fake airline which was unveiled just before he left office. Although the country's aviation minister had been promising that Nigeria Air was "imminent", African journalists revealed that the 737 on a runway in South Africa was in fact a ten-year-old Ethiopian Airlines plane charted for the purposes of the unveiling. Lawmakers cried foul, leading critics to conclude that the entire proposed airline was a fraudulent venture. At 80, Buhari's two terms as president were regarded as a comprehensive disaster and he was replaced by 71-year-old Bola Tinubu, a member of the All Progressives Congress.
Daily Wire: Bill Barr Shuts Down Claim From Top Democrat That He Ended Criminal Probe Involving Biden Bribery Doc
Former Attorney General Bill Barr denied claims made by House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin that he shut down an investigation into a document from an FBI confidential source that implicated then-Vice President Joe Biden in a criminal bribery scheme. Barr said the investigation was sent to Delaware for further investigation. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy said that if FBI Director Christopher Wray shows the entire Committee the document, Republicans will drop their efforts to hold Wray in contempt. The FBI is reportedly willing to let the entire Committee view the document as early as Wednesday.
The Blaze: Cori Bush accuses Republicans of racism for their 'war on woke,' objects to legislation that bans gender transitions for minors
Democratic Rep. Cori Bush accuses Republicans of racism for opposing wokeness and speaks out against legislation that blocks gender transitions for minors. In response, Missouri Gov. Mike Parson signs legislation banning gender-transition measures for those under 18, and also banning males from playing sports designated for females, with some exceptions. Bush condemns the measures, saying that the GOP is attacking the transgender community and that the legislation does not help the people of Missouri.
Breitbart: Senegal Shutters Consulates After Attacks in Paris, New York, Milan, and Others
Senegal’s consulates overseas will be closed temporarily due to damages caused by violent demonstrations in Paris, New York, and Milan following the arrest of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko. The leader, who accused the president of seeking to defy constitutional term limits, was cleared of a rape charge but found guilty of corrupting youth and sentenced to two years in jail. Protests erupted across the country, with at least 16 deaths reported, as supporters feared for his potential exclusion from the upcoming 2024 presidential elections.
Red State: FBI Provides More Info About 'Bribery' Form, as More Info on Informant Spells Trouble for Biden
The FBI was subpoenaed to provide Congress with the Biden bribery form, but initially refused. They finally agreed to show the form to the House Oversight Committee and provide additional documents. Democrats like Rep. Jamie Raskin accused the subpoena of being related to Rudy Giuliani and former President Trump, but an investigation revealed that the information did not come from Giuliani and was from a foreign national who claimed to have bribed Biden. The informant had credible conversations with the foreign national, making this a serious matter. The FBI confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
Breitbart: Turkey Arrests Underaged Teen for Doodling Hitler Mustache on Erdogan
A 16-year-old in Turkey has been arrested on charges of insulting President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which carries a penalty of up to four years in prison. The student allegedly drew a Hitler moustache on a poster of Erdogan in Mersin. Free speech is not protected by law in Turkey; indeed, the penal code specifically punishes insults against anyone holding the office of the presidency as well as founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. Since Erdogan won the presidency in an unfair election in May, children as young as 13 have been arrested for perceived or real insults. Prosecutors opened 7,600 such investigations into individuals for alleged insults alone in 2022.
PJ Media: Study: COVID Lockdown Benefits Dwarfed by Social and Economic Costs
Lockdowns saved as few as 1,700 lives in England and Wales in spring 2020, according to a landmark study from Johns Hopkins University and Lund University. The scientists examined almost 20,000 studies and found that the benefits of lockdowns were "a drop in the bucket compared to the staggering collateral costs". Sweden's sane non-lockdown policy prioritized prevention strategies for at-risk groups. The collateral costs of lockdowns, including damage to children's health and education and economic growth, have become increasingly clear. (, )
Washington Free Beacon: In Crime-Ridden Portland, Weed Industry Gets Twice as Much Funding as New Cops
Despite rising crime and homelessness in Portland, Mayor Ted Wheeler has proposed spending over $10m on marijuana initiatives, almost double the amount requested to hire new police officers. Of the money allocated, $2.3m will go toward funding Social Equity and Education Development grants, to "rectify past racially-biased cannabis policies and disparate cannabis-related arrests." Critics have questioned the high priority given to the spending on marijuana programs, given the crime-related issues currently affecting the city.

PJ Media: Why Would Disney Shelve a Movie About Human Trafficking?
A former government agent and CEO of Operation Underground Railroad, Tim Ballard, has inspired the movie Sound of Freedom, which tells the story of his mission to rescue trafficked children from the human trafficking industry. The film was originally meant to be distributed by Fox until Disney bought them out and decided to shelve the movie. Studio president Jordan Harmon had to negotiate to get the movie's rights back from Disney for a year before the film was released, which raises questions about why Disney decided to shelve the film in the first place. Nonetheless, the film is inspiring people to come together to combat human trafficking.
Forbes: Anti-‘Woke’ Goes Global—International Businesses Draw Right-Wing Anger Over LGBTQ Pride Campaigns
Companies around the world, including New Zealand chain The Warehouse and South African retailer Woolworths, are being criticised by right-wing anti-LGBTQIA+ activists for celebrating Pride Month and targeted as too "woke". Woolworths tweeted in support of the month, leading some South Africans to say they would no longer shop there. Glamour UK faced similar pushback for featuring a pregnant transgender person on its Pride issue, with critics accusing the magazine of "pretending a man can get pregnant". Meanwhile, in Canada, parents were urged to keep their children home after schools flew Pride flags, with reports of 60% in some Ottawa-Carleton schools absent on June 1.
PJ Media: Hail to the Brave Parents Who've Had Enough of the Sexualization of Children
Parents in Glendale, CA, including many from the Armenian-American community, protested against the school's pride events, resulting in a fistfight outside the Glendale School Board meeting. Both sides engaged in the brawl, leading to police intervention. A similar incident occurred in October when Muslims condemned Dearborn school board officials for including books in libraries that promote sexual deviancy. This is not about race or religion, but the inability of long-time Americans to stand up against sexual grooming and indoctrination of children. The Armenians showed courage and concern for their children, something that has been eroded by years of indoctrination.

The Economist: A new study asks whether racehorses have hit their genetic peak
Science & technology |
A study suggests that racehorses have been improving genetically by around 12% for sprints and middle-distance distances since 1997, attributing the improved performance to better breeding. The findings also show that the genetic potential of racehorses is not yet fully exploited, but improvement is slow. However, horse-breeders face the challenge of balancing selection for speed with other characteristics such as health and temperament. Longer-distance races may not have improved as much due to the genetic differences between sprinters and endurance athletes. The use of statistical techniques could offer a more objective approach to horse breeding.

The Economist: Sucking a carbon-neutral fuel out of thin air
& technology | Green energy
E-fuels, produced synthetically using electricity, are carbon-neutral and have potential to power cars and planes without overheating the planet. Hydrogen combines with carbon from carbon dioxide to produce various hydrocarbon fuels. E-fuels offer a way to store surplus renewable energy and make it suitable for export, as they can be shipped using existing infrastructure. Although it will always be more efficient to charge an electric car directly rather than to power it with e-fuels, e-fuels can be used to make internal-combustion vehicles greener after 2030.

Several vertebrates can reproduce without sex, and a new study raises the question if racehorses have hit their genetic peak. The breeding improvements made by breeders may be coming to an end. A Finnish firm claims to be able to cut industrial carbon emissions by a third using turbines run backwards to produce green heat.

Outdoor Life: What is R Value? It's Why Your Sleeping Bag Doesn't Keep You Warm
A warm sleeping bag isn't enough to stay warm outdoors - a high R-rated sleeping pad is necessary to keep out the cold. REI conducted tests pairing their men's Magma 15 sleeping bag with various sleeping pads and found only pads with an R value over 5 allowed the bag to function as a true 15-degree bag. Testing with real-life subjects showed that using a high R-rated pad made a substantial difference in warmth even in mild conditions. People who sleep cold and those sleeping on cots or closed-cell foam could benefit more from an upgraded pad than an upgraded sleeping bag.

Breitbart: Study: Socialist Darling Venezuela Experienced 86 Oil Spills in 2022
Venezuela has experienced 86 oil spills in 2022, with the majority occurring in Zulia, Falcón, and Anzoátegui. These frequent oil spills are affecting the country's marine and terrestrial ecosystems and damaging the livelihoods of local communities dependent on fishing and farming. The state-owned oil company, PDVSA, has failed to issue compensation for the damages. The Maduro regime has attempted to boost Venezuela's oil output by reactivating refineries but has caused severe oil spills, including one that damaged Morrocoy National Park. The Venezuelan population lacks any official information on the number of barrels spilled, damages, and actions taken to remedy environmental impacts after each incident. Fishing has significantly declined because of the recurring oil spills in Lake Maracaibo, leaving many without jobs.
