Forbes: Hard-Right House Members Revolt: Vote Against Advancing Gas Stove Protections Amid Frustration With McCarthy
Eleven House Republicans voted with Democrats against the GOP leadership to block two bills that would prohibit the Biden administration from regulating gas stoves in a display of rebellion against the party. The Freedom Caucus, made up of half of the “no” votes against a debt bill and composed of the furthermost-right Republicans criticized the debt ceiling deal, drawing criticism from far-right Republicans and far-left Democrats. The two bills in question are recognized as messaging bills and are unlikely to pass the Senate but would prevent federal funds from being used to ban gas stoves in the future which federal regulators say isn't currently a threat.

Kennedy Jr. founded and chairs the Children’s Health Defense nonprofit, which promotes vaccine skepticism. He is running for the Democratic nomination to challenge President Joe Biden.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie filed paperwork to run for president on May 31, joining a growing field of Republican candidates that includes former President Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Despite mounting legal troubles, Trump maintains a strong lead in Republican polls with 54 percent of voters saying they would vote for him in a hypothetical 2024 primary, according to FiveThirtyEight.
DeSantis launched his campaign in May and is positioning himself to the right of Trump, while Christie has positioned himself as the only candidate with the courage to take on Trump. Others in the field include former Vice President Mike Pence, South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott, and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

The charity has also been under scrutiny following the 2010 Haiti earthquake for the youth abuse scandal and for reporting failures.
