Foreign Policy: Will Lebanese Bankers Finally Face Accountability?
Lebanon's citizens continue to protest against their political elite, with central bank governor Riad Salameh a prominent target. Investigations into Salameh's alleged embezzlement, money laundering, illicit enrichment, and tax evasion are underway in Lebanon and six European countries, marking a potential turning point for accountability in the country's crisis. Salameh played a central role in Lebanon’s financial crisis, implemented a monetary policy that led to it, and now faces the prospect of prison time.
Breitbart: Chris Christie Launches 2024 GOP Bid
Chris Christie has filed paperwork to run for the Republican nomination, joining a crowded field of eight candidates and positioning himself as a potential alternative to Donald Trump. Despite recent claims of being a "viable" alternative, Christie faces significant challenges, including meeting criteria set by the Republican National Committee to participate in debates and low poll numbers. Some Republicans fear the large field size may benefit Trump.
Daily Wire: Poll: Most Tennesseans Want Authorities Focusing On Dangerous People, Not Guns, As Governor Pushes ‘Order Of Protection’ Law
A poll reveals that two-thirds of Tennesseans want authorities to focus on arresting dangerous people instead of preventing access to weapons from those deemed mentally ill, despite Republican Governor Bill Lee's plans to pass a gun legislation law similar to a red flag law. Lee's proposal would enhance support for law enforcement, require due process, and increase mental health support. A co/efficient survey shows that Lee gained support among voters when he signed a bill into law requiring an armed security officer at every Tennessee public school. The proposal by Lee comes after a shooter murdered six people at a school in Nashville.
Red State: Hilarity Ensues After CNN Drops 'Bombshell' Report of Meeting Between Ron DeSantis, Clarence Thomas
CNN reported on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ close relationship with Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, whom DeSantis has praised on multiple occasions. CNN aired a segment showing DeSantis giving a speech about Thomas’ courage and then going out to dinner with him, which led to an appearance of impropriety. The relationship between DeSantis and Thomas has been well-known for some time, and there is far less to be worried about with the two of them having a friendship than there was with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's open ties to far left activist groups including those who were staunch proponents of abortion.
The New American: Pro-life Activist Sues Colorado Over “Sidewalk Counseling” Prohibitions - The New American
Wendy Faustin has been fighting against Colorado's ban on free speech near abortion clinics since 1993. But with the recent Supreme Court ruling in Dobbs, Faustin believes that she has a chance of getting rid of the “eight-foot rule”. This rule prohibits Faustin from getting closer than eight feet to a woman entering an abortion clinic. First Liberty Institute (FLI) is assisting Faustin with legal assistance and hope that the new Supreme Court will find Colorado’s “eight-foot rule” unconstitutional.

Foreign Policy: In Defense of Neutrals
The concept of neutrality is often misunderstood and underestimated. Neutrality is not politically apathetic and requires constant engagement with all conflict parties. Maintaining independence means being strong enough to withstand criticism and threats from all sides. A neutral state must be both credible and useful to be effective. Successful neutrality involves taking an active role for one’s own interests and the interests of all conflict parties - being omnipartial, not impartial. Whether critics like it or not, neutrality is not going anywhere and will continue to play a valuable role in global conflicts.

Washington Free Beacon: 'Inappropriate If Not Unethical': Senator Unloads on Granholm for Misleading Investors With Rushed Funding Award
The Biden administration falsely announced a $200 million grant to lithium battery-maker Microvast, causing a surge in the company's stock before the grant was later revoked. The White House and Department of Energy misled investors by framing the funding as a done deal in press releases, leading to drastic fluctuations in financial markets based on false information. The grant was canceled after officials found the company had extensive ties to China. Sen. John Barrasso (R., Wyo.) accused the administration of playing an "outsized role" in the company's stock price and asked for records related to the award process.

The Blaze: MacIntyre: You gotta serve somebody
Wokeness has become a new form of religion, replacing a Christian consensus that no longer exists in public spaces due to the separation of church and state. Progressivism filled the void left by formal religion and has become a dominant moral framework in public institutions, including government organizations, schools, and corporations. The only way to defeat progressivism is to replace it with a more compelling and true narrative, acknowledging the essential nature of a shared moral vision. Religion is not going anywhere, and ignoring this fact leaves us vulnerable to destructive and hollow forms of belief.

National Review: Federal Judge Blocks Florida Law Limiting Gender-Transition Treatments for Minors
A federal judge has issued a preliminary injunction against Florida's ban on gender-transition treatments for minors, stating "gender identity is real". The measure, signed by Florida governor Ron DeSantis last month, prohibited puberty blockers and hormones for transgender minors. The plaintiffs, seven parents of transgender children, argued that the ban violated the Equal Protection and Due Process clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment. The decision is likely to be appealed, with the growing number of states enacting limits on gender-transition treatments potentially necessitating a Supreme Court ruling on the issue of constitutionality.

The PGA Tour has merged with rival tour LIV Golf, backed by the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund. Former President Donald Trump predicted the move last year on Truth Social, stating that "loyal" golfers would pay a big price for not taking the money before the inevitable merger. LIV Golf players, who received massive signing bonuses, will keep their money and rejoin their PGA Tour colleagues. The deal concludes the contentious battle, with the two entities combining into one commercial business, in which PIF intends to invest billions of dollars. The agreement will benefit the game of golf as a whole.

The Blaze: Apple's augmented reality goggles track your voice, eyes, and hand movements at all times, uses AI to mimic your persona
Apple has launched its new augmented reality goggles called "Apple Vision Pro," which will allow users to call, work and watch movies. The device will track user's movements using "machine learning" to create a digital persona. The goggles are capable of using voice recognition to navigate and utilize screens, and tracks user eye and hand movements at all times, enabling users to select icons with their eyes or slightly move their fingers to scroll a page. However, the price of the goggles is reported to be $3,499, making it an expensive luxury item.
Apple Vision Pro runs into the same problem as "Metaverse", which is video call limitations between two people wearing headsets. Apple's solution is to use the headset and the data it collects to create a digital, lifelike "persona" of the user to be shown to others on the call who are wearing an Apple Vision Pro also. Users can do things together like watch a movie, browse photos, or collaborate on a presentation. However, it is not clear how the Apple Vision Pro creates a user's "Persona," as well as the total scope of the device's movement tracking.
