Migrants attempted to rush a CBP official port of entry, causing federal authorities to close it down. Groups of migrants were congregating in the vicinity of the Gateway International Bridge before they started to run north and push through a CBP pedestrian barrier. The Brownsville border city recently became one of the busiest border cities in the current immigration crisis and similar incidents have occurred in April with Venezuelan migrants.

Whole Woman's Health Alliance, Indiana's first abortion facility, has closed due to "politically driven and medically unnecessary abortion restrictions" following the Supreme Court's Dobbs v. Jackson decision. Although the facility will still provide referrals to other abortion providers, it announced it would cease personally terminating the lives of the unborn. The pro-life law, which would have shut down all seven of the state's functioning abortion facilities, was held up in courts, but since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the tide seems to be turning in favor of those protecting life in the womb.
Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita has filed an administrative action against Indiana abortionist Dr. Caitlin Bernard for violating state privacy laws. Bernard disclosed her patient's abuse, medical issues, and medical treatment to a reporter to further her political agenda. The Indiana Medical Licensing Board agreed that Bernard violated state privacy laws but did not act on Rokita's reporting failure allegations. Bernard was fined $3,000 for her malfeasance, but the Medical Licensing Board has yet to issue a final order.
