The Epoch Times: Newsom Brands DeSantis a 'Small Pathetic Man' After 2nd Plane of Illegal Immigrants Lands in California
Dozens of illegal immigrants have been flown to California on separate flights from Texas, with their alleged transport by the same contractor behind both planes coming in for criticism. The latest craft brought around 20 undocumented individuals who appeared to be being transported under a state-funded programme. Officials say they held paperwork bearing the name of Florida-based Vertol Systems as the company behind their transport. Analysts believe the flights have political implications, given Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ vocal opposition to President Biden’s immigration policies. A Californian law is being examined to consider whether or not kidnapping charges could be brought against those behind the transport.

Fox News: Target chaos going strong thanks to media hacks
CNN and other mainstream media have defended Target against the ongoing conservative boycott, with CNN denouncing conservative critics as "bigots" and comparing them to QAnon followers. When Target's stock dropped 14% from $152 to $131 due to the boycott, CNN tried to rationalize it by claiming that Target's share price had fallen five days before the boycott began because of "general retail and consumer jitters." Other media outlets, including The Washington Post, NBC News, and USA Today, criticized the boycotts with varying degrees of venom, with USA Today saying that boycotters that targeted Target stores were "acting like a bunch of weirdos." Meanwhile, the boycott of Target and Bud Light is still going strong, with alt-right rapper Forgiato Blow's song "Boycott Target" hitting no. 1 on iTunes.
Fox News: Ohio senators clearing path for new $1 billion fund by nixing House projects from budget
Ohio state senators plan to remove $1 billion in earmarks for one-time spending from the state operating budget and create a new One-Time Strategic Community Investment Fund using leftover federal revenue and taxpayer money from fiscal year 2023. The fund aims to support transportation and capital projects by prioritizing community needs over infrastructure earmarks, and will cover projects including schools, jails, zoos, museums, parks, and waterfronts.
The move could result in the elimination of infrastructure projects and the proposed $1 billion earmarked for Connect4Ohio, a new program to shorten commutes and improve truck delivery times administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation, as well as bridge replacement projects, local matching grants, infrastructure improvements for a $20 billion Intel chip factory, and road improvements. Senators have denied that the changes are a comment on the value of infrastructure earmarks, but rather a shift in funding priorities to ensure that worthwhile projects can find funding with state funds.
Daily Wire: Target Donated Funds To Group Calling To Close Mount Rushmore: Report
Target donated funds to a group that wants to shut down Mount Rushmore as an "international symbol of white supremacy" and return the land to Indigenous people. The NDN Collective has also expressed support for Palestine's elimination of Jews and accused the US military and police of establishing dominance by using violence.
Liberty Nation: Biden Family Corruption, the FBI, and the Hidden Bribery Memo
The FBI has refused to give the House Oversight Committee an unclassified document that contains details about an alleged bribery scheme involving Joe Biden and an unnamed foreign national for a policy decision. FBI Director Christopher Wray will face a contempt of congress charge. The FD-1023 document contains information from an FBI human intelligence source who has cooperated with several investigations and is considered a trusted source. The information raises suspicions about the Biden family corruption scandal, and the document is very incriminating. James Comer will advance the charges against Wray on June 8.
The Epoch Times: NTD Good Morning (June 6): Ukraine Dam Bursts; Republican Senators Weigh-in on Crowded GOP Presidential Primary
A dam in Ukraine intentionally breached, flooding the war zone and causing blame between Ukraine and Russia.
Republican Senators are becoming increasingly unnerved by the growing number of candidates in the GOP presidential primary.
The Economist: The bad bind bedevilling Mike Pence and Chris Christie
Former Republican governors Chris Christie and Mike Pence have announced plans to run in the presidential election, with both men hoping to win over Republicans who dislike former president Donald Trump but still support his policies. However, pitching Trumpism without Trump is difficult for both men as they were previously devoted courtiers to him. Pence hopes to win over voters with his upholding of his constitutional oath to certify Joe Biden’s election victory, but he may appeal to neither camp. Christie, who has experienced pangs of conscience since January 6th, has said he will only run if he thinks he can win rather than being a “paid assassin” of Trump, but he may escape his awkward past by going on the attack.
Liberty Nation: Is the Republican Presidential Race Turning into a Free-for-All?
Hundreds of individuals have officially entered the 2024 presidential race, including former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former Vice President Mike Pence, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. These candidates will most likely join the list of individuals in presidential campaign history. However, with no clear front runner among the Republicans, and Trump and DeSantis as two elephants in the room, who will become the nominee is still up in the air. Regardless, it is highly unlikely that any of these candidates have a better chance at becoming president than the hundreds of unknowns who filed for the 2020 presidential race.
American Thinker: European eco-crazies encourage recruiting 'arrestable' members for planned mayhem campaign in the states
European climate activists are planning to bring their road-blocking and disruptive tactics to the United States in August as part of a "large-scale civil disobedience campaign" aimed at federal properties. Leaders from Extinction Rebellion and other European groups are expanding their US-based franchise, Declare Emergency, to cause mayhem on this side of the Atlantic. The activists are teaching their US allies how to raise money, boost membership and recruit scores of "arrestable" members to spearhead the most aggressive protests. The group is planning to shut down the US economy through its protests, which will block highways, power plants, gas stations, and art galleries, and grab headlines.

Liberty Nation: What Happened to the Cessna That F-16s Chased Over DC?
F-16s scrambled to intercept a private plane that had flown into restricted airspace over Washington, DC. The plane was unresponsive, and NORAD officials stated that the military did not shoot it down. Social media speculations ran wild when the Cessna crashed in Virginia, killing four people, and theories included a possible loss of cabin pressure rendering all passengers unconscious. Former Air Force pilot and National Security Correspondent for Liberty Nation posits that the pilot may have suffered hypoxia, a deprivation of oxygen to the body, and thus lost consciousness, causing the fatal crash.
Residents of Washington, DC, heard a loud and earth-shaking boom after the F-16s were authorized to fly at supersonic speeds to intercept the unresponsive private plane. This caused concern as the city has a history of terrorism and doomsday preppers in the capital were already wary of possible future calamities. The apprehension is so strong that many locals have considered having a "safe space" in case of a nuclear attack or owning real estate in other states as a backup plan.

Daily Wire: Major Dam In Ukraine Is Destroyed, Unleashing Wide-Scale Flooding; Potential Disaster For Nuke Reactor
Russian-occupied territory in southern Ukraine saw the destruction of a major dam on Tuesday, leading to the evacuation of over 15,000 residents. Ukraine has accused Russia of blowing up the Kakhovka dam, while Russian officials have suggested it was a Ukrainian terrorist attack. The destruction caused by the dam’s demolition could have catastrophic effects on communities, irrigation and transportation. The International Atomic Energy Agency has said there is no immediate nuclear safety risk at the nearby Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, but is closely monitoring the situation.
The Economist: Huge explosions breach the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine
Explosions at the Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine breach its walls, leading to mass evacuations as downstream villages are threatened. The deliberate destruction of the dam is considered a war crime, and Russia is believed to be responsible for the breach. The destruction has reshaped the military geography of southern Ukraine at a crucial time, the onset of Ukraine’s counter-offensive.
A new Turkish cabinet offers hope of a policy U-turn, and in Moldova, the European Political Community takes shape. At the same time, Ukraine’s counter-offensive appears to have begun, with armour strikes in the south-east. Europe makes a show of unity with Ukraine and other neighbours.

While the US dollar remained steady, below last week’s 2–1/2-month peaks versus other major currencies, the Australian dollar rose to a four-week high and jumped 0.6% to $0.6657. The RBA’s meeting could also affect Wednesday’s Bank of Canada policy meeting, where further rate increases are being considered.

The Epoch Times: Lockdowns Prevented Few COVID-19 Deaths Compared to Typical Flu Season Study Reveals
Lockdowns should be “rejected out of hand” to control future pandemics, as they failed to significantly reduce deaths according to experts from Johns Hopkins University and Lund University. The report published in the think tank Institute of Economic Affairs suggests lockdowns prevented around 1,700 deaths in England and Wales, approximately 6,000 deaths across Europe, and roughly 4,000 deaths in the United States. However, Europe experiences 72,000 flu deaths and the United States records 38,000 flu deaths in a typical flu season. The report recommends that unless substantial alternative evidence emerges, lockdowns should be “rejected out of hand” to control future pandemics.

The Federalist: What 'Progressives' Get All Wrong About Prison Rehabilitation
Can prisoners be rehabilitated? While rehabilitation is a noble goal, it is difficult to achieve in prisons. Some European countries have redesigned prisons to provide dorm-like facilities and offer work and therapeutic interventions, but it would be difficult to replicate this in the US. Plus, the US has a much larger population of violent offenders and a gang problem that makes it difficult to deliver rehabilitation programs. Even in Europe, recidivism rates are still high, indicating that some hardcore criminals never develop the rehabilitation mentality. While some prison interventions seem effective, only voluntary programs with committed prisoners will be successful.
Fox News: Pennsylvania House passes measure to expand what kind of criminal records can be sealed from public view

Forbes: Thunder Offseason: Evaluating Aleksej Pokusevski’s Project Status And Potential Future In OKC
Aleksej Pokusevski of the Oklahoma City Thunder is entering his third NBA season after being drafted No. 17 overall in 2020. He has shown potential as a 7-footer with guard skills and two-way impact, but injuries have hindered his development. Pokusevski suffered a small right humerus fracture during an offseason workout in OKC and will be re-evaluated in July, potentially affecting extension talks and his plans to play for Serbia in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup. Nonetheless, he remains a key piece of the Thunder's rising team and experts expect him to earn up to $10 million per season on his next deal.

Fox News: Federal judge rejects approval for Idaho phosphate mining project due to environmental concerns
A federal judge has halted approval of a phosphate mining project in Idaho proposed by P4 Production LLC, a subsidiary of Bayer AG, stating that federal land managers didn’t properly consider the mine’s impact on sage grouse, a bird species whose population has seen a near-80% decline since 1965. Three environmental groups sued the US Bureau of Land Management’s 2019 approval of the Caldwell Canyon Mine. The ruling stated that the agency “violated the National Environmental Policy Act and other laws on several counts, including failing to consider the indirect effects of processing ore at a nearby plant and the cumulative impacts on sage grouse”. Bayer is considering its next steps, which could include an appeal.
Bayer’s proposed Idaho venture was set to offer two new open pits, disturbing around 1,550 acres of previously undeveloped land, with the phosphate ore transported by truck or rail to a neighbouring processing plant. This plant would process the ore to produce glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, the most widely used herbicide globally. However, glyphosate is a contentious substance: Bayer faces thousands of lawsuits from claimants insisting exposure to Roundup caused their cancer. The company has already started to remove glyphosate from its US residential lawn and garden products.
