Daily Wire: Legacy Media Sounds Alarm Over RFK’s ‘Right-Wing Ideas’
Legacy Media Sounds Alarm Over RFK’s ‘Right-Wing Ideas’
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a long-shot Democratic presidential candidate, has polled surprisingly strongly with 20% support. Alarmingly, Kennedy is pushing right-wing ideas and misinformation, leaving some wondering if he has found a home within conservative circles. Kennedy has consistently been a vaccine skeptic and made headlines when he accused Dr. Anthony Fauci of orchestrating "fascism" and has suggested that psychiatric drugs may be linked to school shootings. Despite being an annoyance for President Biden, Kennedy could potentially be dangerous and cement the perception that Twitter actively mainstreams extremism. Kennedy received a surprise endorsement from former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, who tweeted that Kennedy "can and will" defeat former President Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis in 2024.

National Review: The Corner: Tim Scott’s Happiness Is a Problem, Apparently
The Corner: Tim Scott’s Happiness Is a Problem, Apparently
Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz dismisses Senator Tim Scott's affability as an undesirable throwback, stating that optimism, smiles and hope are not a substitute for success and that Scott only presents value because his political views depart from those held by most African-American voters. However, Scott's polished performance exemplified the lost art of persuasion which is a skill Republicans have soured on, done them no favors, and has been replaced by prickly belligerence. According to Gaetz, Republicans should not select candidates who are evocative of the time in American history when Republicans recaptured control of the House of Representatives for the first time in a half-century, bent a popular Democratic president to their political will, picked fights engaged in the pursuit of a backward-looking desire for retribution. Instead, the Republican Party's eyes should be locked on the horizon, buoying them with a jaunty and genuine belief in their inevitable ascendancy.

Foreign Policy: Russians Are Unraveling Before Our Eyes
Russians Are Unraveling Before Our Eyes
Moscow was attacked by a swarm of drones, the first aerial attack since the German Luftwaffe in 1941. Two groups claiming to consist of Russians fighting to liberate Russia from the Putin regime crossed the border from northern Ukraine into Russia's Belgorod region, taking over villages and capturing Russian conscripts. The incidents come at a time of heightened anxiety for Russia, with its offensive in the Donbas stalled and Ukraine launching probing attacks in the east and south while shelling Russian targets using new, longer-range Western missiles. Even if the attacks do not have much of an impact on the general course of the war, their psychological effect on Russia has been devastating, with the mood on state television tilting towards defeatism and even some members of Russia's extreme nationalist right attacking Putin for his supposed indecision.

Breitbart: Iran Claims to Develop Hypersonic Missile as It Nears Nuclear Breakout
Iran Claims to Develop Hypersonic Missile as It Nears Nuclear Breakout
Iran claims to have developed a hypersonic missile named Fattah that can evade all defense systems, including those of the US and Israel. The missile has a range of 1,400 km and is capable of reaching targets in Israel and the Middle East. While these claims could not be independently verified, they come as Iran is nearing nuclear breakout and amassing highly-enriched uranium. The missile's key component, a movable nozzle, allows it to change course and avoid missile defense systems. The Biden administration has tried to revive talks with Iran on restoring the 2015 nuclear deal, but Israel has repeatedly stated that it will not permit Iran to become a nuclear power that can threaten the Jewish state.

National Review: The Corner: Global Britain Is Closed for Business
The Corner: Global Britain Is Closed for Business
Brexit coincided with growing consensus to appoint independent bodies to regulate contentious issues, leading to the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) expanding its powers. The CMA recently blocked Microsoft's acquisition of Activision and forced Meta to sell GIPHY, causing a loss of $260 million. The U.K.'s technology trade association and the Chancellor of the Exchequer have criticized these decisions, with the Times declaring the U.K. "closed for business." The CMA's out-of-control actions may hinder the U.K.'s economic growth and foreign investment, affecting upcoming talks with the U.S. about promoting AI.

The Epoch Times: New Study Links Heart Attacks With Accelerated Cognitive Decline
New Study Links Heart Attacks With Accelerated Cognitive Decline
Heart attacks may accelerate cognitive aging by up to 6 to 13 years, according to a study by Johns Hopkins Medicine. Data from six US studies on heart disease and cognition between 1971 and 2019 was analysed. The study found people experiencing heart attacks did not immediately suffer cognitive decline but damage to their brain health was incurred over the next six or so years, and it accelerated cognitive decline at a far steeper rate than in those without heart attacks. Of 30,465 participants in the studies, 1,033 had a heart attack during the research. The findings suggest prevention of heart attacks could be important for long-term brain health, the researchers said.

Sex Harassment Case Involving Trudeau Foundation Should Be Heard in NL, Lawyer Says
Lawyer Kathryn Marshall argues that the case of her client, Cherry Smiley, who alleged sexual harassment against former premier Stephen Kakfwi, should be heard in Newfoundland and Labrador, where the alleged misconduct happened. If the trial is moved to Quebec, Smiley may have to end her lawsuit because she will need a new lawyer who speaks French and English, which will add to the emotional hardship and cost. Montreal-based Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation, a defendant in the case, believes the trial should be held in Quebec because the lawsuit involves a contract breach governed by Quebec law.

Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to direct that mass murderers serve their full sentences in a maximum-security prison. This follows the Correctional Service of Canada's decision to transfer Paul Bernardo, who was convicted of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering two teenagers, to a medium-security institution in Quebec. The decision has caused shock and is under review, but the Public Safety Minister claims he is unable to reverse the decision as the federal correctional service operates independently.
