A new poll shows that more independents prefer former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden in a head-to-head matchup for the 2024 general election. Both potential challengers are tied with 39% support each, with Trump having an edge among independents. The survey was taken among 1,500 U.S. adult citizens in late May 2023.

Breitbart: McCarthy Supports Holding FBI Director in Contempt of Congress
GOP House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced a Thursday vote to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt after the FBI refused to hand over custody of an unclassified subpoenaed file during a Monday meeting. The file allegedly details a $5 million bribery scheme involving policy decisions between now-President Joe Biden and a foreign national.
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy threw his support behind the House Oversight Committee’s intent to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress. Speaking with reporters, McCarthy supported Comer’s decision. Comer scheduled the contempt vote for Thursday at 9 a.m., triggering the FBI to release a statement in response.
Daily Wire: The ACLU’s Campaign To Remove Parental Notification Rights By Amending Ohio’s Constitution
Left-wing groups in Ohio are attempting to enact a ballot measure under the guise of “reproductive freedom” that would strip parents of the right to be notified if their child is seeking an abortion or sex-change surgery, warns Mark Meckler. The measure, which would amend the Ohio constitution, is supported by anti-parent advocacy groups such as the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and United for Reproductive & Gender Equity. The proposed amendment’s vague wording could extend to cover such procedures as sterilisation or sex-change surgery for minors. Groups such as the ACLU have previously targeted parental consent and notification laws that relate to minors seeking abortion.

The Blaze: Stunning and brave: Pregnant man on UK Glamour magazine
Logan Brown, a transgender man, is featured on the cover of Glamour magazine UK's latest issue, holding a very pregnant belly. The magazine has garnered controversy for placing the topic of a trans man pregnancy, despite Brown's biological female anatomy. Pat Gray comments on the topic, stating that it is a woman who is pregnant with a baby growing in her womb, as the basic biology dictates. Brown is currently working on a children's book called "In My Daddy's Belly: The Miracle of Male Birth," which gives "basic facts about transgender Dads giving birth."

National Review: The Corner: Rejecting Russia’s D-Day Revisionism
As we mark the 79th anniversary of D-Day, we must confront revisionist narratives and celebrate Allied triumph. Russia's criticism of the West's delay in opening a second front during WWII and downplaying of Normandy's importance must be rejected. The meticulously planned and brilliantly executed Operation Overlord was the beginning of the end for the Third Reich, and the delay was not reluctance but proof of the Allies' determination to ensure success. Today, we must denounce Russia's invasion of Ukraine and reject its attempts to rewrite history.
Foreign Policy: What Ukraine’s Dam Collapse Means for the War
The Nova Kakhovka dam in southern Ukraine was destroyed in an explosion, causing a surge in floodwaters and a new humanitarian crisis, while also casting doubts on the safety of a nearby nuclear power plant. The blame has been pinned on Russia by Ukraine, NATO, and the EU, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has backed Ukraine. The destruction of the dam poses a significant threat to tens of thousands of civilians and the ecological balance in southern Ukraine. The Russian attack on the dam could hinder its war efforts, as the canal that it feeds supplies 85% of the water to Russian-controlled Crimea. The breach of the dam marks a grim new chapter in the war in Ukraine, putting at risk tens of thousands of civilian lives and sowing a new ecological catastrophe in southern Ukraine. The breach also sparked immediate questions about the safety and viability of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (ZNPP), one of Europe’s largest nuclear power plants in Ukrainian territory. It is unclear what effect the destruction of the dam could have on the battlefield in Ukraine, but it comes just as Ukraine is kicking off a highly anticipated counteroffensive to regain territory from Russian forces in the southern region. Destroying dams is considered a war crime under international law.

The Epoch Times: Iran Presents Its First Hypersonic Ballistic Missile, State Media Reports
Iran presented its first domestically-made hypersonic ballistic missile, named Fattah, at a ceremony attended by President Ebrahim Rahisi and commanders of Iran’s elite Revolutionary Guards Corps. With a range of 1,400 km and a top speed of mach 14 levels, the missile is said to be capable of penetrating all defense shields, including the most advanced anti-ballistic missile systems of the US and Israel. However, Western military analysts suggest that Iran sometimes exaggerates its missile capabilities. The announcement further raises Western concerns about Tehran’s missile program, which contributed to then-US President Donald Trump's decision to exit the 2015 nuclear pact with six major powers in 2018, leading to the reimposition of US sanctions on Iran.

The New American: Censorship at Arlington Cemetery - The New American
The Confederate Memorial Committee of the District of Columbia (CMC) has rejected the terms on which they were allowed to hold a memorial service for the Confederate soldiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The terms were considered too restrictive that they could not hold any such service. The cemetery's authorities had denied the CMC the ability to hold any ceremony at Jackson Circle, which contains the actual graves of the Confederate dead. Furthermore, no speakers could be present unless approved by the authority, with their content being subject to approval. There was also to be no singing, flag displays, or floral tributes. This decision has led to the removal of the Confederate monument at the cemetery and mourning decorations on all Confederate section graves.

The Epoch Times: Poilievre Calls on Liberals to Make Killers Like Bernardo Stay in Max-Security Prison
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre has called on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to direct that mass murderers serve their full sentences in a maximum-security prison. This follows the Correctional Service of Canada's decision to transfer Paul Bernardo, who was convicted of kidnapping, torturing, and murdering two teenagers, to a medium-security institution in Quebec. The decision has caused shock and is under review, but the Public Safety Minister claims he is unable to reverse the decision as the federal correctional service operates independently.
PJ Media: Did Ellen ‘Elliot’ Page Just Pull a Jussie Smollett?
Actress Ellen Page claims she was verbally attacked and threatened in Los Angeles last year while walking to a convenience store. The man threatened to "gay bash" her and employees at the store took her inside. However, there is no evidence that Page or any employee called the police to file a report, leading to doubts about the incident's authenticity. The details of the story don't quite pass the smell test and it's highly likely that Page fabricated the incident, similar to Jussie Smollett's fake anti-gay, racist hate crime.
