The Epoch Times: Florida AG Scores Win in Court Battle With Biden Administration Over Border Crisis
Florida AG Scores Win in Court Battle With Biden Administration Over Border Crisis
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody wins legal battle against Biden administration's policy of mass release of illegal immigrants. Preliminary injunction will remain in place after the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals disagreed with the government's argument that it will cause "irreparable injury" by blocking the policy. The government argued that it will lead to overcrowding of Customs and Border Protection facilities and threaten the health, safety, and security of Border Patrol agents and illegal aliens.

The judges casted doubt on DHS's claims of "impending disaster" and stated that recent data from the border "casts further doubt on DHS's irreparable-injury argument." Moody welcomed the appeals court decision and stated that Florida will not allow Joe Biden and Secretary Mayorkas to continue putting American lives at risk in clear violation of federal law. The Biden administration is also facing legal challenges from both Republican-led states, including Texas, and civil rights groups over its immigration policies.

Fox News: 'Embarrassing' dissent cable shows Biden 'allowed' Afghanistan to collapse: Rep. Issa
'Embarrassing' dissent cable shows Biden 'allowed' Afghanistan to collapse: Rep. Issa
Rep. Darrell Issa criticized Secretary of State Antony Blinken's handling of the Afghanistan dissent cable released on Tuesday by calling it "embarrassing" and stating it debunked the Biden administration's narrative of being caught off guard by the country's swift collapse. The document had predicted the rapid advance of the Taliban as the US left the country, which President Biden had downplayed. The cable warns of the possibility of the Taliban gaining strength sooner than the government had said, which "with great accuracy" predicted what would happen. The cable revealed no expectation by the State Department that there would be sustainability in the region, and it was known that billions of dollars of US military equipment that were left behind were going to fall into the Taliban's hands.

House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul secured an agreement with Secretary of State Antony Blinken to allow all members of the committee to view the dissent channel cable. For the first time in history, the State Department has agreed to allow Congress to view a dissent channel cable. This event is an unprecedented step forward in the committee's investigation. Joe Biden's decision to pull troops from Afghanistan faced widespread global backlash after the Taliban retook the country in a matter of days on August 15, 2021, essentially winning the war. Despite telling Americans after Afghanistan's fall that "the buck stops with me," Biden repeatedly blamed former President Trump and the Afghan military for the country's swift collapse. Critics have said Biden's foreign policy blunders have given the green light to authoritarian leaders to act aggressively across the globe.

All 'Oral Communication' Between Lobbyists and Federal Officials Should be Disclosed, Watchdog Says
Federal Lobbying Commissioner Nancy Bélanger is calling for tighter lobbying rules in Ottawa, calling for "every oral communication" between politicians and lobbyists to be disclosed. Loopholes in current regulations leave many of these meetings undisclosed, as they are only required to register meetings which were pre-arranged. Bélanger has also called for more details to be provided by lobbyists about what was discussed in each meeting. The forthcoming Lobbyists’ Code of Conduct will require Canadian officials to "avoid conflicts of interest, and uphold the highest ethical standards." Ethics group, Democracy Watch has disputed the incoming rules, claiming that loopholes exist which may permit foreign interference.

Bold prediction: Chris Christie will not be the nominee
Chris Christie is running for the GOP presidential nomination as an anti-Trump attack dog, but he's polling poorly at less than 1%. Although a powerful speaker, his role as Trump's ally in 2016 then ouster has people taking his anti-Trump tweets with a grain of salt. Christie will likely not be the nominee, with Trump or DeSantis being the two most viable options, but whoever it may be will not be facing Joe Biden, whose scandals have made him a political has-been.

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has received endorsements from over half of California's Democratic congressional delegation in his bid for the U.S. Senate, running to replace Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). His main opponent is Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA). Schiff, who led the first impeachment effort against President Donald Trump, was kicked off the House Intelligence Committee this year after being accused of lying about evidence implicating the president in colluding with Russia. He also conducted witness depositions behind closed doors and blocked Republican questions during his impeachment inquiry. The California primary has been moved up to March.

James Comer fires back at reporter who defends FBI — then new report seemingly confirms his suspicions
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R) expressed distrust in the FBI after viewing an FBI document on an alleged "criminal bribery scheme" in which Joe Biden participated as Vice President. Comer questioned the FBI's seriousness towards these allegations, citing media narrative and the White House's alignment with it. He also raised concerns about the FBI's source but did not reveal any further details. House Oversight Committee Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D) contradicted Comer, claiming there is no ongoing investigation.

Although the FBI did not deny anything Comer said during the meeting, it criticised his promise to pursue contempt charges, citing that the document in question is being safeguarded through the use of a reading room at the U.S. Capitol. Meanwhile, a member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), claimed the FBI fears for the safety of the confidential human source whose information is contained in the document.

Formal Demand Letter Sent to Target Over 'Radical LGBT' Agenda
America First Legal has demanded that Target provides transparency about its alleged support of a “radical LGBT political agenda.” The group, working on behalf of the National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR), has served Target Corporation with a “formal demand for the production of corporate books and records.” As a Target shareholder, the NCPPR has concerns about the possible risk posed by the company's sale of LGBT-related merchandise, due to the significant risk posed to Target’s company’s financial prospects if its core customer base sours on the corporation. AFL states that their concern is related to Target’s revenue and the value of Target shares, which many Americans hold in pension funds, mutual funds, and retirement accounts.

What Happened to America's Ambulance Chasers?
The age of personal injury lawyers suing for slip-and-fall cases and damages caused by things like asbestos and baby powder seems to be fading. Now, many lawyers are fighting for their clients' "civil rights" and engaging in political lawfare. Despite the potential for massive class action suits against the "gender affirming care" industry, where corporations sit on billions of dollars waiting to be looted, there are few lawsuits. The lack of lawsuits against these corporations that clearly operate outside the realm of good faith and cause life-changing injuries to thousands is the biggest mystery of all.

The move infuriated progressive LGBTQ groups who claim that Target has "betrayed" its LGBTQ customers.

National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby dismissed concerns over the trip's timing, calling it a "long-planned trip" and downplaying its significance. Fox News: Health of Muammar Qaddafi's son deteriorating 3 days after starting hunger strike to protest detention
Health of Muammar Qaddafi's son deteriorating 3 days after starting hunger strike to protest detention
Hannibal Qaddafi's health is deteriorating three days into a hunger strike to protest his detention in Lebanon without trial. He is suffering from headaches, muscle pain, and difficulties moving around due to being held in a small room where he cannot move freely or exercise. He was abducted by Lebanese militants demanding information on the whereabouts of prominent Lebanese Shiite cleric Moussa al-Sadr who disappeared in Libya 45 years ago.

Al-Sadr's disappearance has been a long-standing sore point in Lebanon, and his family believes he may still be alive in a Libyan prison. Most of al-Sadr’s followers are convinced that Muammar Qaddafi ordered him killed in a dispute over Libyan payments to Lebanese militias. Libya has maintained that he left Tripoli in 1978 on a flight to Rome and suggested he was a victim of a power struggle among Shiites. Hannibal Qaddafi, who was born two years before al-Sadr disappeared, has been detained in Lebanon since 2015 after being briefly kidnapped from Syria.

The Chinese regime claimed the stations were set up to assist with administrative tasks. While UK authorities have not found evidence of illegal activity at the outposts, British security minister Tom Tugendhat called their presence "unacceptable."

West Coast Cargo Processing Slows Down Following Worker Disruptions
Dockworkers at US West Coast ports, represented by the International Longshoremen and Warehouse Union (ILWU), have continued to disrupt cargo-processing operations as they negotiate new contracts with employers, the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA). This work action includes the delayed dispatch of union workers to marine terminals and unfounded health and safety claims. Workers' action since June 2 has caused disruptions at key marine terminals in Los Angeles and Long Beach, with the diversion of cargo to other ports in the Gulf and Atlantic coasts, which threatens the US economy and jobs beyond the ports. While the union demands a good economic package for workers that recognizes their heroic efforts during the pandemic, employers argue that their action forces businesses away, which could result in permanent losses.

During an interview with CNN, Milley dismissed the idea that the military has been preoccupied with instilling progressive values in its personnel. Although he received criticism when he claimed to have studied critical race theory and "white rage," Milley stated that “accusations of woke are grossly over exaggerated." Conservatives have expressed fears of wokeness propagating within the military, such as the US Navy’s use of drag queens as official recruiting tools.

The cause of the crash is unknown, but investigators believe it may have resulted from a loss of pressurization, which could have led to the pilot becoming unconscious. William Waldock, a professor of safety science, suggests that cabin pressurization is the "most likely suspect" for what went wrong.

Reggie Fowler, a former part owner of the Minnesota Vikings, was sentenced to over six years in prison and ordered to forfeit $740 million for defrauding the Alliance of American Football in a $700 million cryptocurrency scam. Fowler lied to the league's executives claiming to control bank accounts with tens of millions of dollars from real estate investments and government contracts but the league ended quickly in 2019 when it ran out of money. US Attorney Damian Williams said Fowler broke the law by processing hundreds of millions of dollars of unregulated transactions on behalf of cryptocurrency exchanges that were used as a shadow bank.

Defense lawyer Edward Sapone wrote that Fowler was heartbroken that he let himself engage in crimes after over six decades of extraordinary contributions to family and community, and that Fowler was extremely remorseful about not being able to invest the promised investment money. Fowler tried to buy the NFL's Minnesota Vikings in 2005, becoming its minority owner before his involvement in the team ended in 2014. The court ordered Fowler to pay restitution of $53 million.
