Poll: Nearly One-Third of Gen Z Support Government Surveillance
A survey by CATO Institute/YouGov found that 29% of Americans aged 18 to 29 would favor putting government surveillance cameras in every household to reduce domestic violence and abuse. Washington Free Beacon: Blinken Travels to Saudi Arabia as Kingdom Snubs Biden on Oil and China
Blinken Travels to Saudi Arabia as Kingdom Snubs Biden on Oil and China
Secretary of State Antony Blinken visits Saudi Arabia to mend the relationship between the two nations over disagreements on issues ranging from China to regional security to oil prices. The trip aims to regain influence over oil prices, fend off Chinese and Russian influence in the region, and nurture hopes for an eventual normalization of Saudi-Israeli ties. Blinken is expected to meet with top Saudi officials and possibly Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman during his visit to Riyadh and Jeddah. The United States seeks to discourage a closer Saudi-Chinese relationship and advocate for the normalization of diplomatic relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

The Epoch Times: How to Set a Fair Rent Price for Your Properties
How to Set a Fair Rent Price for Your Properties
Setting a fair rent rate is crucial for real estate investors and requires considering property features, market trends, and occupancy rates. Analyze comparable properties in the area and use market trends to set a minimum and maximum rent rate. If renting at below-market rates, raise rent to market level to avoid unsustainable costs. If renting at above-market rates, stagger small, regular rent increases instead of hiking up the rent. Ultimately, regularly reevaluate your rent rate to ensure both fairness for renters and profit for yourself.

The Epoch Times: As US and China Spar, Western CEOs 'Love the CCP'
As US and China Spar, Western CEOs 'Love the CCP'
China's defense minister accused the US of being a hegemonic power at an annual security conference in Singapore on June 4. While the US and its allies mostly fight out-of-control aggressive ideologies, such as communism or terrorism, China usually ignores international law. The CCP is trying to make China appear "open for business" to keep milking the US and Europe of technology and trade, where it derives the economic power needed to fuel its military rise.

Western businesses profit from the two-way trade of $1.6 trillion between China, the US and European Union, and use their political influence to stabilize US-China relations. However, China leverages uncoordinated Western businesses for Beijing's hegemonic purposes much easier than the US can influence China's coordinated businesses for installing democracy and human rights in Beijing's ethos. It prioritizes commercial engagement with the US, whereas it refuses to meet with the US military and diplomatic leadership like US Secretary of Defense Austin and Secretary of State Blinken. China aims to manipulate Western businesses' leaders to make more money in China.

The Strange Appeal Of Mystery Flesh Pit: How Trevor Roberts Built The Wildest Theme Park In All Of Fiction
Illustrator Trevor Roberts turned a photo of a decaying cantaloupe into a fictional theme park attraction called Mystery Flesh Pit National Park, built inside a subterranean colossus. His exploration of humanity’s brazen hubris and capitalism through the park's history may be the freshest genre riff on those themes since Michael Crichton wrote Jurassic Park. The park is currently the focus of a Kickstarter campaign for a tabletop RPG designed in partnership with Ganza Gaming. If successful, the campaign will fund a 250-page game book and potentially attract interest from Hollywood.

Breitbart: San Francisco Mayor: Biden Needs to Do More to Fight Fentanyl
San Francisco Mayor: Biden Needs to Do More to Fight Fentanyl
San Francisco Mayor London Breed called out President Biden for not doing enough to combat fentanyl, led a group of mayors to adopt a resolution for federal enforcement and public health interventions to address the crisis, and demanded collaboration with local authorities. The resolution urges the Biden Administration to increase enforcement and prosecute high-level drug traffickers in local communities and form joint investigations to pursue them. The issue has become a potent one in the 2024 presidential race, with Trump vowing to "wage war" on drug cartels and Democratic Party candidate Robert F. Kennedy pledging to seal the border.

The Epoch Times: Extinct Hominins Buried Their Dead, Carved Symbols 100,000 Years Before Homo Sapiens
Extinct Hominins Buried Their Dead, Carved Symbols 100,000 Years Before Homo Sapiens
New evidence suggests that the extinct hominin species, Homo naledi, buried their dead and made symbols, indicating complex practices related to death . National Geographic Explorer Lee Berger and his team found bodies of Homo naledi, including children, in Rising Star cave system, with fetal positions suggesting intentional burial of the dead. The team also discovered 241,000 to 335,000-year-old engraved symbols on cave walls, including geometric shapes and cross-hatchings, indicating the recording and transmission of information. These activities are a major cognitive step in the evolution of human beings and may suggest that burials and symbols are not limited to larger-brained hominins like Homo sapiens as previously understood.
