The Epoch Times: Immigration Minister Claims Asylum System Is 'Ridddled With Abuse'
The UK's asylum system is "riddled with abuse" says Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick, who appeared on BBC's "Sunday With Laura Kuenssberg programme" shortly after refugees protested about cramped living conditions at a London hotel. Jenrick made the comments justifying the UK Government's request that migrants share rooms at hotels. Additionally, the minister revealed that there is now a backlog of 150,000 asylum cases, and stated that the Illegal Migration Bill to detain migrants who arrive through unauthorised means will ease pressure on the system.
Around 20 asylum seekers slept on the streets in front of a London hotel for two days in protest at the conditions inside. Westminster City Councillor Adam Hug expressed concern, stating that the asylum seekers were on the streets “without appropriate accommodation or support available”. The Immigration Minister said he did not think it was unreasonable to ask asylum seekers to share rooms. Jenrick also said the government took the “perfectly reasonable view” to “look after the taxpayer”. The Home Office estimates that it will have to spend between £3 billion and £6 billion on detention facilities and removals under current plans to tackle small boat crossings.

The Epoch Times: The Spell of Woke
Conservatives and Republicans who laugh at President Joe Biden's weaknesses and mishaps misread the situation because they are the very reasons why a portion of the electorate supports him. Identity politicians need a white man in power, but he must be guilt-ridden and deferential to people of color and LGBTQ+. A white man who shows his willingness to voice the dogmas of identity politics is what Woke Americans want, and they want their leader to be a follower.
Fox News: Elon Musk, farmers torch Ireland government proposal to slaughter 200K cows to meet EU climate change goals
Elon Musk has condemned a proposal by Ireland's government to cull 200,000 cows to meet the EU's climate change goals, stating on Twitter that "killing some cows doesn't matter for climate change." The Irish Department of Agriculture is believed to be looking for ways to reduce farming emissions by a quarter by 2030, with the culling of 65,000 cows per year for three years being one proposed option, reportedly offered to ageing farmers as part of a "retirement exit scheme." While no final plans have been agreed upon, Tim Cullinan, president of the Irish Farmers’ Association, has warned that the move would drive beef production out of the country, and Irish politicians have also spoken out against it.
The Federalist Papers: Strange Detail Noticed About Biden's Shoes During Fall at Air Force Academy Graduation
President Biden's fall at the Air Force Academy commencement continues to make headlines. The internet is now speculating whether Biden fell despite special grip sole shoes designed to keep him upright. The shoes have a rubber sole, special grip pattern, and a horseshoe-style heel, leading some to speculate that they were supposed to help a high-mileage 80-year-old from looking like one. The incident has once again called into question Biden's age and physical fitness to be president.
American Thinker: Stunning TV interview (in Australia!) on the Hunter Biden laptop evidence
Former Trump aide Garrett Ziegler has obtained a copy of Hunter Biden's laptop and published over 10,000 photos revealing clear evidence of multiple crimes that implicate both parties, but have gone unprosecuted. Ziegler claims that the intel agencies are at the epicenter of a US "uniparty" that has suppressed the evidence on the laptop and fixed the 2020 election. His analysis can be seen in a 22-minute interview with SkyNews Australia that has yet to be covered by any American cable/satellite network.

Forbes: Only One Of Zack Wheeler And Aaron Nola Is Presently A Legitimate Staff Ace
Sports : The Philadelphia Phillies are struggling this season despite high hopes after a strong 2022, but pitcher Zack Wheeler is performing well, with strong contact management and K/BB rates. However, Aaron Nola is struggling with decreased velocity and control and a poorer K/BB profile than his stellar 2022 season. Despite good grades for his cutter and knuckle-curve, his sinker and changeup have been subpar with low whiff rates. Though team defense is lacking, Nola is not currently at a star level, while Wheeler remains a solid ace for the Phillies.

Forbes: 4 Strange Things About The Hurricane Season Already
The 2023 Atlantic hurricane season has already begun, with four strange things occurring. Firstly, a subtropical storm formed in January and was designated as the first cyclone, though it did not receive the name "Arlene." Secondly, Tropical Storm Arlene, the first named storm, moved south towards Cuba before fizzling out, which was unusual. Thirdly, Arlene, technically the second tropical system of the year, was climatologically-speaking an early arrival. Finally, El Niño has established itself and will compete with warm sea surface temperatures in the Atlantic basin, creating uncertainty for this year's hurricane season.
Fox News: Biden administration gives out $570 million in grants to eliminate railroad crossings across US
The Biden administration is awarding $570 million in grants to eliminate railroad crossings in 32 states, contributing to building bridges or underpasses at the sites of more than three dozen crossings that delay traffic and sometimes hinder first responders. Trains regularly stretching more than 2 miles long can block crossings, cutting off access to parts of towns and forcing pedestrians to make dangerous crossings. In addition to blocked crossings, roughly 2,000 collisions are reported at railroad crossings every year, with nearly 250 deaths recorded last year in those car-train crashes. The grants are part of $3 billion in funding approved in the $1 trillion infrastructure law for these rail crossing projects that will be doled out over the next five years.
