Binance’s Token BNB Plummets Almost 10% In Biggest Drop This Year After SEC Sues Crypto Giant
The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, saw its cryptocurrency, Binance Coin (BNB), fall by almost 10% following a lawsuit from the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which alleges that Binance has run an illegal operation in the US. This marks the largest one-day drop this year for BNB as regulators continue to clamp down on the crypto industry. Binance is accused of manipulating trading and the misuse of client funds. Binance denies the allegations, and is the second civil complaint targeting the crypto exchange in recent months. Other cryptocurrencies have also dropped including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dogecoin.

The Corner: After FBI Briefing, the Comer–Wray Contempt Fray Over Document Alleging Biden Corruption Heats Up Again
The FBI has displayed a document to two top members of Congress in response to a subpoena calling for a copy of the FD-1023 informant report. However, the FBI's display of the report is not compliant with the subpoena, and the bureau continues to refuse to provide a copy of the document. The dispute is a matter of constitutional power, with Congress having oversight authority over the FBI. The FBI's public standing has significantly diminished, and Congress is just not that worried about the bureau crying wolf. The FBI director is at risk of being held in contempt of Congress, although the politics are not on Chairman Comer's side. #[]

Red State: NV GOP Files Lawsuit Against Nevada Over Presidential Primary System
NV GOP Files Lawsuit Against Nevada Over Presidential Primary System
The Nevada Republican Party has filed a lawsuit against the state and the Secretary of State challenging the state’s presidential primary system. The lawsuit comes after a 2021 bill introduced a primary system in place of the caucus system for presidential nominations, and the NV GOP fears outside interference in the process. The NV GOP claims that the law affects their right to freely associate under the First and Fourteenth Amendments, as AB 126 seemingly precludes a major political party such as the NV GOP from opting out of the primary election process, and thus impedes its ability to pursue a party-run caucus system or other permissible method instead.

The Democrat Caucus’ results faced scrutiny, with then-presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg raising concerns about the outcome, and Sanders’ campaign winning a significant number of the caucuses. Since then, a socialist slate took over the Dem state party, causing the Democrat establishment to run a shadow group through the 2022 midterm elections. The NV GOP is asking that the court block the Secretary of State’s enforcement of the state-run and imposed primary through an injunction and allow the party to select and bind its delegates for the national presidential nominating convention according to its own rules and bylaws. In response, the Nevada Democratic Party called the lawsuit “bogus,” claiming that it is part of the GOP playbook to change rules to serve their interests and protect former President Donald Trump.

Uyghurs Protest Corporate China Support: Tesla and Chase 'Complicit' in Genocide
Members of the Uyghur community protested in front of the White House, calling on the Biden administration to end the genocide of their people in China and condemn American corporations like J.P. Morgan Chase and Tesla for profiting from business with the Communist Party that they claim is linked to the genocide. The East Turkistani diaspora and supporters gathered in front of the White House to demand that the US government takes strong and meaningful actions to address the genocide and the colonization and occupation of East Turkistan. Protesters targeted J.P. Morgan Chase and Tesla over the recent visits of their CEOs to China, promoting business with the Communist Party.

Sunday marked the 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, in which the Chinese Communist Party killed thousands of peaceful protesters calling for democracy and freedom. The Chinese Communist Party is accused of using brutal repression, including mass killings, imprisonment, and live organ harvesting, to erase the people of East Turkistan over nearly a century under communism. Evidence compiled indicates that the Communist Party, under Xi Jinping, has imprisoned as many as 3 million people in concentration camps, where many are killed, tortured, and sterilized against their will, and have had their children killed in and out of the womb. Many survivors say they experienced or witnessed brutal gang rapes and sexual torture. Protesters called on the US government and other nations to take tangible, meaningful action to address and end the genocide, to condemn US companies like Tesla and J.P. Morgan Chase for turning a blind eye, and to prioritize human life over financial gain.

The Epoch Times: ‘Literally Impossible’: Trucking Companies Brace for California’s Electric Mandate
‘Literally Impossible’: Trucking Companies Brace for California’s Electric Mandate
Logistics companies in California are struggling to meet the 2024 mandate for all trucks servicing ports, railyards, and distribution centers in the state to be zero-emission vehicles. Electric truck costs, maintenance, and range limitations are still unknown variables, with the price of most electric semi-trucks being approximately $500,000. Limited infrastructure at and near ports is also a concern, as the frequent need to recharge, and the wait times expected with more trucks than charging ports, add to the time and cost of operation. These concerns are creating difficulty for logistics companies to purchase or lease the trucks by the time the laws take effect.

Electric trucks present a weight and range limitation issue, as they weigh substantially more than standard trucks, and the best electric semis currently can go 300 miles or less. Diesel trucks can run more than 1,000 miles before refueling, while the majority of electric semis operating in California last only 100 miles or fewer on average. There are also questions about the long-term effectiveness of the power systems, and the public safety issues associated with fires. While the push for zero-emission trucks has many supporters, the list of variables still undetermined, uncertainty typically means increased costs, which could impact households’ purchasing power.

Foreign Policy: India’s Deadly Train Crash Spotlights Modi’s Uneven Modernization Push
India’s Deadly Train Crash Spotlights Modi’s Uneven Modernization Push
India suffers from one of the largest and most antiquated rail networks in the world with a history of train accidents causing fatalities, however, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is focused on building new high-speed rails rather than fixing old rail lines. This has come under scrutiny following a deadly train crash that derailed 21 passenger coaches, killing at least 275 people and injuring more than 1,000 in Odisha state last week. Modi’s strategy to modernize the country’s transportation infrastructure is part of his hope to create a $5 trillion economy by 2025, seeing him inaugurate a new high-speed railway linking New Delhi to Mumbai in February, build the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor and the world’s tallest railway bridge in Kashmir, but despite India’s government spending nearly $30 billion on the rail system, the amount of money allocated for track renewal and other basic safety measures has actually fallen.

Russia claims to have successfully repelled all Ukrainian attacks, including heavy shelling of at least 10 villages in Russia’s western Belgorod region on Monday, drone strikes on a power facility, and the targeting of five front line locations in Ukraine’s Donetsk region by Ukrainian forces. Ukraine’s deputy defense minister reported that Kyiv’s forces were moving to “offensive actions,” raising speculation that a counteroffensive may have begun. In Senegal, around 500 protestors were arrested following three days of violence leading to the sentencing of Ousmane Sonko, an opposition politician, to two years in prison. The PASTEF-Patriots party has accused the government of deploying “private militias” to beat back the demonstrators and suspended mobile internet access to defuse the situation.

Nikki Haley Blasted For Falsely Linking Teen Suicide To Transgender Students Playing Sports In CNN Town Hall
Topline Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley suggested that teen girls' increased suicide rates were connected to transgender girls using locker rooms during a CNN Town Hall event on Sunday, sparking criticism from mental health advocates. Haley noted the presence of "biological boys playing in girls' sports" as her main example of "woke" culture, claiming it included "a small minority" of Americans pushing their preferences on the rest of the country, including things like identifying pronouns. Advocates of mental health and LGBTQ pushed back against Haley's implications that transgender students playing sports are linked to suicide rates among teen girls.

Fox News: Wisconsin Republicans propose sweeping plan to address PFAS 'forever chemical' pollution
Wisconsin Republicans propose sweeping plan to address PFAS 'forever chemical' pollution
Wisconsin Republicans have proposed a new plan to address PFAS pollution, which creates grants for local governments and mandates studies on how to treat contaminated water. The bill includes provisions that limit regulators' ability to delay projects on polluted property and it would provide a mechanism for spending $125 million set aside by the Legislature's budget-writing committee last month to deal with the chemicals. Republicans have already passed bills that limit the use of firefighting foam that contains PFAS but have resisted doing more due to concerns about the cost. PFAS is present in a range of products and has been linked to low birth weight, cancer, and liver disease.

Should Feral Horses in the West Be Hunted, Like Other Invasive Wildlife?
Feral horses in the Western U.S. are overpopulating and causing a serious problem for native wildlife. Despite high-dollar removal efforts, a recent Bureau of Land Management (BLM) analysis showed that there are almost 83,000 such animals in the West—several times the population target of 27,000. Researchers believe that effective management tactics, including lethal control, need to be implemented to keep the wild horse population in check. The emotional connection between humans and horses makes it difficult to see them as wild animals requiring management.
