The Epoch Times: House Republicans Request Interview With ICE Official on Decreased Deportations
House Republicans Request Interview With ICE Official on Decreased Deportations
House Republicans have issued a request for a transcribed interview with an ICE official who oversees illegal immigrant deportations. This comes as ICE has failed to enforce federal immigration law amidst a significant surge in illegal immigration. The letter highlights a decline in ICE’s removal of illegal aliens in 2021 compared with 2020 levels.

To keep track of the issue of illegal immigration, ICE announced that some immigrant families who cross the US-Mexico border illegally to seek asylum would be monitored electronically and be subject to a curfew. This new FERM program, Family Expedited Removal Management, will equip certain heads of household for family units with Alternatives to Detention technology to ensure that family units claiming a “credible fear” of persecution appear on time for their interviews with US Citizenship and Immigration Services. This will eliminate the need to detain family representatives in detention centers and assists ICE in locating families who are removed from the US within 30 days under the expedited removal program and do not qualify for the credible fear waiver.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) has not ruled out a third-party bid for the White House in 2024. Manchin is viewed as a swing voter in the Senate, and his political future, both in the Senate and in West Virginia, where he faces a challenge for his seat, is uncertain.

The FBI needs accountability more than ever, as it pushes hoaxes and opens terrorism investigations against innocent Americans.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu Will Not Run for President in 2024
New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu announced that he will not run on the Republican ticket for president in 2024 due in part to Donald Trump's candidacy and the expanding GOP field. He advised candidates with campaigns that aren't taking off to leave the crowded field by "Christmas at the latest" and criticized those who are in the race to "audition" to be part of the next administration. Sununu believes Trump has no chance of winning in 2024 and that the GOP should steer clear of him. Recently, Mike Pence and Chris Christie filed their paperwork to run in the 2024 presidential race, joining a bevy of new entrants including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.).

The Epoch Times: Birth Rates Last Year Still Below Replacement Level, CDC Says
Birth Rates Last Year Still Below Replacement Level, CDC Says
US birth rates have fallen and production has not kept pace with replacement needs, according to national birth data published by the US Centers of Disease Control and Prevention this month. The rate remained at 1.665 births per woman and has consistently been below the replacement level since 2007. Live births and fertility rates, which slightly bounced back in 2021, have been on a downward trajectory since 2014. The decrease in the number of births to mothers aged 15 to 19 hit a record low, while more mothers were giving birth over the age of 35 and to Hispanic and Pacific Islander women.

A 2021 survey by Pew Research Center revealed that childless Americans are less likely than before to have children, with 44% saying they probably won’t have children in the future. Only 37% of respondents surveyed in 2018 said the same thing. The main reason for not having children was that respondents did not want any, at 57%. Other reasons ranged from medical and financial, to the lack of a partner. Meanwhile, those who were already parents cited age and financial reasons for not having more children in the future.

It's Mao'Clock, Time to Wake Up Your Normie Neighbors
The US is experiencing a cultural revolution similar to China's, where schools use propaganda to indoctrinate students, mobs attack those who don't toe the line, and culture is subverted. This includes brainwashing with Critical Race Theory and transgender ideology, denouncing the nuclear family and Founding Fathers, and even attacking historic symbols of patriotism. Good intentions can lead to insane arrogance, as seen with those who believe they can reinvent humans and deny biology.

The Epoch Times: Supreme Court Overrules Local Governments for Seizing Homes
Supreme Court Overrules Local Governments for Seizing Homes
The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that local governments cannot seize homes over unpaid tax debts and keep the sale proceeds that far exceed the tax owed. Critics dubbed the practice “home equity theft.” Pacific Legal Foundation (PLF), a national nonprofit public interest law firm which represented the homeowners in both cases, alleged that 12 states and DC allowed local governments and private investors to seize more than what was owed from homeowners who fell behind on property tax payments. The case came after PLF released its report last year. The Supreme Court reversed two rulings by the Supreme Court of Nebraska, but did not explain why it issued the orders. This is part of the “shadow docket” criticized for lack of transparency.

Nova Scotia's third-party file sharing system, MOVEit, was targeted by hackers affiliated with the Clop ransomware group, resulting in the theft of personal data belonging to residents of the Canadian province. While it is unclear how many people had their data breached, Microsoft security experts confirmed the group's involvement in a tweet, adding that Lace Tempest hackers used similar vulnerabilities in the past to steal data and extort victims. By targeting a file-transfer software company, the hackers were able to then gain access to all of MOVEit's clients, including large companies and organisations, along with all of the files they have moved with the system.
