Fox News: Deadly plane crash after DC airspace breached, Capitol Police halt youth choir and more top headlines
The search for survivors of a plane crash due to airspace violation in Virginia has been suspended. Capitol Police came under fire for interrupting a youth choir's national anthem performance. AI technology could help resolve cold case investigations, while Target is supporting an organization promoting demilitarization and the shutdown of Mt. Rushmore. Ex-FBI director James Comey thinks Joe Biden is the best candidate for 2024, while a Republican senator criticizes Biden administration's relationship with China. Internet users criticized the New York Times for their article on Biden's age, and an LGBTQ+ advocate scolds Target's rainbow capitalism. Marvel stars went through home invasions, and experts suggest financial practices for couples.
Fox News: Rep. Raskin argues older leaders often 'praised for their wisdom' in defense of Biden's old age
Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., defends President Biden's age on CNN's "State of the Union" show, stating that other countries praise older leaders for their wisdom. Biden's age and fitness for office came into question following a viral video of him tripping on stage after a speech on Thursday. A group of Biden voters told the New York Times in May that the president's age and "cognitive decline" is one of their most pressing issues. However, a New York Times article suggested that Biden was still "sharp and wise" despite his age.
Fox News: Pence and Trump: From running mates to rivals for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination
Former Vice President Mike Pence teased a major announcement during an annual GOP event in Des Moines. He joined Iowa senator Joni Ernst's Roast and Ride, where all Republican presidential candidates attended, except for former President Donald Trump. Pence is the only 2024 speakers at the senator's event who's yet to launch a White House campaign, but will change on Wednesday when he is expected to declare his candidacy just outside of Des Moines, Iowa's capital city.
Pence will become the first running mate in eight decades to run against his former boss, since Vice President John Nance Garner unsuccessfully challenged President Franklin Roosevelt in the 1940 election. He faces the trickiest path forward, due in part to his role in the attack on the U.S. Capitol, although he touts the Trump-Pence administration’s policy successes and contrasts himself with the controversial former president in terms of tone and tenor. He has made roughly a dozen trips to Iowa in the past two years to campaign and raises money for Republicans, in recent days a pro-Pence super PAC launched.

American Thinker: Hand over your children, or else
Virginia delegate Elizabeth Guzman introduced a bill to hold parents criminally liable for not treating their children as the opposite sex if they identify that way, following in Australia's footsteps. However, the state of Florida has taken a different approach; recognizing that parents have primary authority over the education of their children, it will send state money to parents to direct, including to religious schools. Conservative parents are fighting back, recognizing that protecting their children is a cause for which they will never surrender.

The Epoch Times: Japan, China Agree on ‘Reliable’ Operation of Military Hotline Amid Tensions
Japan and China have agreed to ensure the “reliability” of their military hotline to prevent potential clashes as tensions rise in the East China Sea. Both sides agreed to promote dialogue and exchange while ensuring the appropriate use of the hotline. Japan’s Defense Minister raised concerns over North Korea’s missile launches and China’s joint military activities with Russia around Japan while emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait. However, China’s Defense Minister warned Japan against interfering in the Taiwan issue, which Beijing considers its internal affair. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore.
Japan and China will restart mutual visits by their defense officers in July, following a four-year hiatus. It was announced by the Sasakawa Japan-China Friendship Fund (SJCFF), which organized the program. Japan will send 10 senior officers to China in July while Chinese members will visit Japan in the fall. The decision to resume mutual visits came as China abolished its strict "zero-COVID" policy in December 2022. The program aims to establish "a gateway for mutual understanding" amid strained relations between the two countries. It was organized by the private sector with the participation of the defense authorities of both countries.

The Epoch Times: Airlines Say Ready to Avoid Repeat of Summer Travel Chaos
Airlines are ready to deal with summer travel, but warn that controller strikes could still cause disruption. Airline leaders are concerned about air traffic control disruption in Europe and the United States, however they say they have fulfilled their obligation to get their resources in place for this summer. Rising numbers of disputes between travellers and airlines globally have led to calls for passenger compensation, but airlines argue this will reflect in higher ticket prices and is a frustrating environment to be operating in.

The Epoch Times: 4 Common Medications That Increase Depression Risk
Millions of Americans are unknowingly exposed to higher risks of depression by using prescription medication that has depression listed as a possible side effect, including benzodiazepines, corticosteroids, blood pressure medication, and antibiotics. A 2018 study from the University of Illinois Chicago involving more than 26,000 American adults found that 37.2% of participants used at least one prescription medication that might cause depression or increase the risk of suicide. The exact mechanisms are not fully understood in regards to why they increase the risk of depression.
Non-pharmacological treatments can be effective in managing anxiety and depression symptoms. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, meditation, mindfulness, aerobic exercise, anti-inflammatory diets are among the alternatives that do not carry the potential side effect of depression. Medical professionals suggest reducing the dosage or providing an alternative medication without depression as a possible side effect. One should remember that healthcare providers prescribe antibiotic drugs when necessary to treat an infection, and any concerns should be discussed with a doctor.

American Thinker: Why are the predictions on climate change always so wrong?
Humans are not destroying the oceans as predicted; Australian Great Barrier Reef has made a rapid recovery due to natural cyclic events. Scientists are finding new species rather than just identifying those that have gone extinct at an alarming rate. The predictions on climate change and natural resources have been wrong; based on an agenda rather than scientific data.

Fox News: Rumble CEO attacks Twitter Community Notes as a 'really bad idea,' 'a fancy word for fact checking'
CEO of Rumble Chris Pavlovski criticized Twitter's new feature called "Community Notes" which allows certain users to provide context to tweets that might be potentially misleading. Pavlovski argued that the feature is "a really bad idea" and just a fancy word for fact checking which can lead to more harm than good. Pavlovski's criticism received pushback from Twitter users who approved of the feature, arguing that it holds "professional liars and gaslighters accountable."

American Thinker: When the state steals baseball
Leftists are trying to politicize baseball, targeting the Dodgers in Los Angeles. This attack on traditional values is part of a larger agenda to rewrite history and destroy the family unit. The Left often uses sports to promote their ideology, as seen in Cuba's post-outlawing of professional teams. The battle is binary—either surrender or fight the evil with all your might.
Fox News: The American birth rate is plummeting, but not in some states
The US birth rate is declining due to economic and social obstacles, with women having fewer children than they want. President Joe Biden has proposed paid family leave, subsidized child care, and federally funded preschool to encourage more children. However, a low birth rate has negative implications for national viability, pensions, and the economy.
While the left offers material explanations for the decline, statistics show that factors like cost of living, attendance at religious services, and the 2020 vote for Biden predict higher birth rates. Government subsidies and policies may not be the solution, as Americans who take personal responsibility and rely on family and congregations tend to have more children.
Fox News: Concert crazies: Taylor Swift, Zach Bryan, Tim McGraw face wild fans, 'possessed' pianos and falls on stage

Taylor Swift has had a chaotic tour, including an incident where she protected a fan from a harassing security guard and another where her waterlogged keyboard played notes on its own. Pink, Tim McGraw, Dave Grohl, Harry Styles, Adele, and Madonna have all had their share of concert mishaps, from falling offstage to getting hit by objects thrown by fans.
