Washington Free Beacon: Germany's Siemens Facing American Scrutiny for Agreeing To Boycott Israel
Siemens agreed to comply with the boycott regulations of the Organization of the Islamic Conference in order to secure a $360 million deal to provide Turkey with high-speed trains. A copy of the contract that includes a signature and seal from Siemens contradicts the company's previous denials. Multiple states in the US are looking into the allegations to see if any action is necessary under anti-boycott laws, as the news could raise legal issues for Siemens. The Zachor Legal Institute has added Siemens to its list of scrutinized companies and raised the matter with several state law enforcement bodies.

American Thinker: If you want to take action, take language back first
Take back our language to save our culture and future. Language is the greatest accomplishment of mankind, without it there is no survival. Today, language has been so distorted that we are actively encouraging singular people to describe themselves as plural. This pollutes language. Take action and stop using incorrect language to describe fake people. Use the language of truth to take back our country, culture and future.

Euromaidan Press: Russian anti-Putin fighters to give Russian soldiers over to Ukraine after gains in Belgorod Oblast
Anti-Putin Russian groups have captured 12 Russian soldiers, including two who are wounded, in the Belgorod Oblast and are demanding a personal meeting with the governor of the region. The Russian Volunteer Corps and Freedom of Russia Legion have said they will hand over the prisoners to Ukraine for exchange after the governor failed to show up for a meeting at a church to collect them. The groups have been conducting a renewed military operation in the region since June 1. Fighting continues and the pro-Ukrainian insurgents have reportedly captured 200 square kilometers of the region.

Fox News: US military releases video of Chinese warship cutting across American destroyer in Taiwan Strait
A Chinese navy ship narrowly avoided a collision with a US destroyer conducting "freedom of navigation" operations in the Taiwan Strait, after China "unsafe[ly]" crossed in front of the American vessel. Chinese state media defended the "professional" and "lawful" action, which also saw a Canadian frigate pass through the contested waters. The US-Canadian operation was a demonstration of "a free and open Indo-Pacific," according to US Indo-Pacific Command. The incident follows the near miss between a US Air Force reconnaissance flight and a Chinese fighter over the South China Sea last week.

Forbes: Crude Oil Prices Rise 2.5% After Saudi Arabia Says It’s Cutting 1 Million Barrels A Day
Saudi Arabia plans to cut crude oil production by an additional 1 million barrels per day beginning in July. Other oil-producing nations under OPEC+ will extend cuts until 2024. Global benchmark Brent Crude Futures index rose past $78 per barrel, up nearly 2.5% since Friday.
Forbes: Not So Fast... Energy Transition Trips Over Security Concerns
Investors are choosing energy security over climate change as they come to their senses in the debate over energy. Shareholders have rejected climate change proposals this year, scaling back support from last year, and are more concerned about Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the resulting oil and gas price spike and energy crisis last year, prompting a rethink about the future investment required in traditional fossil energy supplies to keep up with future demand. Climate is taking a backseat to energy security for many investors, and the lack of support for anti-carbon measures is significant because the world is far from kicking its fossil fuel habit.
Oil and gas companies are investing their profits in their legacy businesses rather than in the energy transition, with just 4% of their capital expenditures going towards clean technologies last year. They allocate their funds to oil and gas projects with the belief that this is the best use of earnings, and returns are higher for oil and gas rather than renewable energy sources. Clean energy businesses do not offer the same returns as oil and gas, deterring investors away from the energy transition. The European energy majors plan to produce more oil and gas this decade to ensure energy security as Europe weans itself off Russian supplies, and calls to vote against the boards due to the renewed focus on oil and gas also failed to resonate with all candidates receiving more than 90% support.

Forbes: Elon Musk’s Neuralink Wants To Put Chips In Our Brains — How It Works And Who Else Is Doing It
Neuralink, Elon Musk's brain implant company, has been given approval by the FDA to begin testing its device in humans. The device, known as the "Link", is a brain chip that can directly interface with the human brain. It uses ultra-flexible, small electrodes implanted in the brain to detect neuron communication. Neuralink is one of several companies that are developing brain implant tech to restore lost abilities or add new ones; Elon Musk has open ambitions to enhance human performance with the technology. Experts argue the development of neurotechnology for enhancing human abilities raises more ethical questions than restoration.

Forbes: Embarrassment For French Government As Disneyland Paris Loses Key Transport Route
Eurostar has canceled its direct route to Disneyland Paris just days after the French government banned short-haul air flights in favor of train travel. Disneyland Paris is home to one of the country's busiest railway stations, connecting it to the regional RER rail line, local Metro, national SNCF network, and international Eurostar. The Disneyland Paris Eurostar service is coming to an end just days after France passed a bill to ban short-haul flights on routes where there is a train alternative of two and a half hours or less, which some argue is hypocritical as the French government is the majority shareholder in Eurostar through its SNCF national rail division.
