Fox News: The Green New Deal is back, and it’s more radical than ever
Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Senator Ed Markey are reintroducing the Green New Deal, one of the most socialistic legislative proposals ever conceived in Congress. If passed, it would create massive new spending programs, eliminate "pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, transform all US manufacturing and transportation, and upgrade "all existing buildings in the United States." The American Action Forum estimates the final price tag could be as high as $94.4 trillion. The Green New Deal’s past failures haven’t deterred the most socialistic wing of the Democratic Party.
Markey also announced that he and far-left Rep. Ro Khanna have introduced an add-on to the original Green New Deal called the "Green New Deal for Health." The most important and far-reaching reform offered by the Green New Deal for Health is the establishment of a new office within the Department of Health and Human Services called the Office of Climate Change and Health Equity. If passed, the office will be responsible for injecting far-left, costly climate policies throughout the U.S. health care system and would favor some demographic groups over others.

Foreign Policy: Iran’s Growing Rift Between Theocrats and Security Elites
The protests sparked by the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody have led to the retreat of the morality police responsible for enforcing Iran’s mandatory hijab law from the country’s streets. Despite this, Article 638 of the Islamic Penal Code, which makes refusing to comply with the state’s conception of “Islamic hijab” in public spaces a criminal offense, has not been revoked. Officials have even vowed to double down on their efforts to enforce mandatory hijab, which has caused a rift between Iran’s hardline ruling elites and the military-security establishment. This conflict may escalate as Iran’s generals become increasingly impatient with the authorities’ handling of the protests and the seeming incompetence of the unpopular political leadership.

The Epoch Times: Intense Competition and Diplomacy: US Security Advisor Says US-China Leaders' Meeting Still Possible
The White House National Security Advisor denied an inevitable conflict between China and the U.S. and emphasized the need for dialogue to manage competition. Efforts have been made to set up a meeting between the U.S. president and Chinese leadership, but Beijing declined an invitation for a meeting between U.S. Defense Secretary and the Chinese Communist Party's Defense Minister. Despite dealing with Beijing-backed foreign interference and re-establishing its military in the Indo-Pacific, the U.S. continues to push for dialogue with China. The move comes after the U.S. shot down a suspected Chinese surveillance balloon and charged two suspected Chinese agents for attempting to bribe officials to help undermine the spiritual faith, Falun Gong.
Fox News: Target backs org pushing US demilitarization, Mt. Rushmore shutdown for being a 'symbol of White supremacy'
Target Corporation's diversity chief ramped up the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion program in response to Black Lives Matter protests. Fox News found that Target's nonprofit foundation funded organizations with far-left, blatantly political agendas, including one that aims to shut down Mount Rushmore and demilitarize the U.S. military. Another grantee is the YWCA Minneapolis, which seeks to insert racial equity into policy. Target CEO Brian Cornell said that his company's DEI strategy was good for business.
