The American Spectator: Let Trump Be Trump
Let Trump Be Trump
Like Reagan in the past, Trump is facing opposition from establishment Republicans and the media who claim that allowing him to be himself would lead to political calamity and the end of the GOP. However, history has shown that such predictions are baseless, and that Trump's greatest asset in the 2024 election will be Biden's failed policies, weak leadership, and the global threats that have arisen under his administration. Therefore, the advice to Trump, just as it was for Reagan, is to "Let Trump Be Trump" and focus on his agenda of Making America Great Again.

The Epoch Times: House GOP Target Gas Stove Regulations, Power of Administrative State
House GOP Target Gas Stove Regulations, Power of Administrative State
House Republicans are proposing bills to exert control over the administrative state, with two specifically aimed at protecting gas stoves from regulatory efforts by the Department of Energy and Consumer Product Safety Commission. The Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act aims to prevent the CPSC from raising the price of gas stoves or banning them, while the Save Our Stoves Act would block Department of Energy energy efficiency rules for gas stoves. In addition, two bills meant to increase oversight of the administrative state were also considered during the June 5 Rules Committee hearing, including the REINS Act and the Separation of Powers Restoration Act of 2023.

Democrats are arguing against the proposed bills, with Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon claiming that REINS could "bring government operations to a grinding halt" and asserting that Congress already has tools to shape agency rulemaking. On the other hand, Republicans claim that past use of the joint resolution of disapproval shows its ineffectiveness and that these bills are necessary. The hearing also prompted sparring over limitations on gas stoves, with Democrats arguing that the proposed bills oppose safety and energy efficiency requirements and Republicans stating that the White House wants to limit the purchase and use of gas stoves.

SEAN HANNITY: We're seeing a brazen level of political bias and corruption at the FBI and DOJ
Sean Hannity discusses the investigation into former President Donald Trump's classified documents case and the alleged protection of the Biden family by the FBI and DOJ. Trump's attorney met with the special counsel and federal grand jury for the case, with a possible indictment expected soon. Sources say there is also consideration of a possible indictment for Hunter Biden. Hannity criticizes the political bias and corruption at the FBI and DOJ, stating that the Biden DOJ is charging Trump with the same crime he is under investigation for, while Biden walks away free.

The American Spectator: As Bisexuals Get Older, They Act Straighter
As Bisexuals Get Older, They Act Straighter
Bisexual people are much more likely to have sex with an opposite-sex partner than with a same-sex partner and this trend becomes more pronounced as they get older. According to data from the National Survey of Family Growth, bisexual members of Generation Z are more interested in sex than their straight or gay peers, with 67% having reported having sex in the past year compared to 49% of straight members. This could mean that bisexuality today is partially an expression that a person is more interested in sex.

Iranian Attack Boats Harrassed Merchant Ship in Hormuz Strait: US Navy
Iranian speedboats, believed to be operated by the country's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, surrounded a merchant ship passing through the Strait of Hormuz, according to the US Navy. The vessel sent a distress signal and the Navy sent USS McFaul and a British Royal Navy frigate. After about an hour, the Iranian boats left and the merchant ship was able to continue through the narrow Hormuz Strait. The Strait of Hormuz is a critical choke point for global commerce, with about 20% of the world's oil passing through it. Iran recently captured two merchant ships near the Hormuz Strait.

The American Spectator: Churchill’s The World Crisis Is a Warning About Today’s Crises
Churchill’s The World Crisis Is a Warning About Today’s Crises
Winston Churchill's "The World Crisis," on World War I, was published 100 years ago. Despite not being as famous as his work on World War II, it provided "astute strategic reflections" through brilliant writing. The book contains descriptions of the horror of the war, which resulted from the Europe's failure to maintain balance powers which had been strategically managed by Bismarck. The book includes Churchill's calls to prevent Germany from gaining supremacy at sea, showing similarities to the tensions between Russia and China in modern times, which pose a danger to international stability.

The Epoch Times: California Spending Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on K–12 Education Without Getting Results: Experts
California Spending Hundreds of Billions of Dollars on K–12 Education Without Getting Results: Experts
Despite record-high funding of $110 billion for the 2021–22 fiscal year, California's children are still struggling academically with two-thirds not meeting national math and science standards and 57 percent unable to read at their grade levels. Most of the funding goes to teacher salaries and benefits, with only 10 to 15 percent going directly to educating students. Education experts suggest that competition and merit-based pay could motivate schools to improve academic scores, along with more parental involvement in their children's education. The state has proposed an unsuccessful ballot initiative to allow parents to choose where to allocate funding for their children's education.

The Epoch Times: Ducks Hire Former Leafs, Islanders Assistant Greg Cronin as Head Coach
Ducks Hire Former Leafs, Islanders Assistant Greg Cronin as Head Coach
Former NHL assistant Greg Cronin has been hired as the new head coach of the Anaheim Ducks. Cronin, with 36 years of coaching experience, replaces Dallas Eakins, whose contract wasn’t renewed. Cronin believes that the Anaheim Ducks’ combination of young talent and patient management is perfect for him. He has held multiple coaching positions at nearly every level of hockey, including the NHL (Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Islanders), AHL, and at Northeastern where he earned widespread acclaim for leading young players, teaching strong principles, and inspiring performance. The Ducks never finished higher than sixth in the Pacific Division during Eakins’s tenure and has missed the playoffs in a franchise record five straight seasons, however, the team has a relatively promising future in terms of young talent and the No. 2 overall pick.

Kyle Busch Holds Off Denny Hamlin for NASCAR Cup Series Win Outside St. Louis
Kyle Busch wins NASCAR Cup Series Race at World Wide Technology Raceway after an exhausting race that took six hours to finish due to numerous cautions and a weather delay. Busch secured his third victory of the year after holding off Denny Hamlin in a green-white-checkered finish. Bubba Wallace brought out the final yellow flag when his brake rotor let go, ending the race for a few drivers. The win was especially meaningful for Busch's crew chief, Randall Burnett, who not only produced a car fast enough for the pole but also made the correct calls on Sunday.

The Epoch Times: When Do Political Campaign Donations Between Politicians Become Controversial?
When Do Political Campaign Donations Between Politicians Become Controversial?
GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene donated $2,000 each to 18 fellow Republicans, including Michelle Steel, who represents Southern California's 45th Congressional District. While some may view this as cronyism, it is common for politicians to donate to members of their own party. Steel has also accepted donations from GOP House members for the next 17 months. While the legacy media portrays Greene as a far-right MAGA firebrand, her views align with the GOP platform, including free enterprise, traditional families, and law and order. Some analysts believe that Greene is attempting to accumulate more power in the chamber by extending her influence, and while a Steel alignment with Greene could be risky, the election outcome could hinge on swing voters who have declared no party preference.
