US companies have announced over 400,000 layoffs this year, far more than the 364,000 announced in all of 2022. Economic conditions and cost-cutting prompted over half the layoffs announced. Democrats have pushed for immediate work permits for the thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens admitted into the US every month to respond to what they say are labour shortages caused by businesses.
Fox News: Biden appointee calls on UN to create reparations tribunal: 'What justice looks like in the 21st century'
A Howard University law professor called on the UN to establish a tribunal for reparations to provide justice to Black Americans for slavery, citing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s call for reparations in his "I Have A Dream" speech. Over 90 reparations committees have been formed in the US since the death of George Floyd. The PFPAD member argued that Black Americans should propose their own vision of justice and that a new bar association should prepare for crimes done to Black people.
