The Epoch Times: $63 Million Verdict Against Miami Commissioner Accused of Political Retaliation
Miami Commissioner Joe Carollo has been found liable in a civil lawsuit in which two businessmen accused him of using his office to harass them after they supported his political opponent. The six-member jury awarded businessmen William Fuller and Martin Pinilla $63.5m in damages. The men claimed Carollo infringed on their first amendment rights by using police and code enforcement to harass them after they supported his political opponent. Carollo's lawyer says he plans to appeal. Miami City Attorney Victoria Mendez, who covered Carollo's legal fees, said the city was disappointed with the verdict and anticipated that Carollo would appeal and fully exercise his appellant rights.
Breitbart: GOP Sen. Rounds Won’t Commit to Backing 2024 GOP Nominee If It’s Not Tim Scott
Sen. Mike Rounds (R-SD) would not commit to supporting the Republican nominee for president if Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) doesn't come out on top. Rounds is one of few Senators supporting Tim Scott. Rounds believes that it is time for somebody with a positive message to be president. He said he hopes Tim Scott gets the nomination, or another good Republican nominee.
The Federalist Papers: MLB Legend Eyeing US Senate Seat, Could Give GOP First Victory in Decades
MLB legend Steve Garvey is considering running for a Senate seat in California as a Republican, which would be a break in the state's decades long tradition of electing democratic Senators. Garvey would be running against potential Democratic candidates Katie Porter, Adam Schiff and Barbara Lee to replace incumbent Dianne Feinstein, who has announced that she will not seek another term. While Garvey has not confirmed his intent to run, some Republicans believe his strong likeable image could make him a potential contender for the seat.
The Epoch Times: Rep. Jamie Raskin 'Seriously Considering' Run for Senate Seat Opening in 2024
Rep. Jamie Raskin is considering running for retiring Sen. Ben Cardin's Senate seat in 2024, but has not yet decided. Raskin notes that such openings rarely happen, and sees compelling reasons to both run and not run. Cardin's retirement has given the GOP hopes to recruit Gov. Larry Hogan to run for the Republican ticket, but Hogan has repeatedly rebuffed these efforts. With Maryland's deep blue leanings, it seems likely that any Democrat who wins the nomination will be poised to win the seat.
Fox News: GOP senator slams Biden admin relationship with China: ‘love-struck teenagers’
Sen. Tom Cotton criticized the Biden administration for their relationship with China and expressed concern over lifting tariffs imposed by the Trump administration. Cotton stated that it projects weakness and encouraged China to continue acts of aggression towards the United States. Additionally, Cotton believes that the best way to deter China and other countries would be with a strong military presence.
Cotton's remarks came after a Chinese warship came within 150 yards of a U.S. destroyer in the Taiwan Strait, and as Biden signed a debt ceiling bill, cutting non-defense spending and raising the government's borrowing limit. The bill increases defense spending by 3% for the first year, which Cotton believes is very risky and that the Pentagon cannot find savings to match and offset the cuts in this bill or the threats that the U.S. faces from countries like China, Iran, and Russia.

Breitbart: Cotton: Biden Officials Are 'Chasing After' Chinese Counterparts like 'Lovestruck Teenagers'
Senator Tom Cotton criticized the Biden administration’s handling of their relationship with China on “Fox News Sunday,” saying officials were chasing after their Chinese Communist counterparts like “lovestruck teenagers.” He argued that reducing tariffs and projecting weakness would only embolden China to engage in aggressive behavior, citing recent military incursions in the Taiwan Strait and spy balloons found in the US as examples. Instead, Cotton believes military capability is the best way to deter China, Iran, and Russia .

Eileen had been abandoned in a Chinese orphanage and brought to America by Julie, who speculates that her experiences influenced her desire for reassignment surgery. Eileen has been seeing this psychologist weekly since 2019, and her mental health has improved. Julie believes it's important to maintain a loving relationship with children who have gender dysphoria, but also to draw important boundaries like refusing hormone therapy.

Third-party password managers fill the gaps iCloud Keychain cannot. The best password managers deploy secure, work across all devices, create unique complicated passwords for each account, automatically populate login and password fields, have a browser extension, offer a failsafe if the primary password is lost, and use two-factor authentication. Kurt "CyberGuy" Knutsson advises taking a few moments to set up iCloud Keychain to enhance online security and simplify password management.
