Townhall: Friend or Pharisee? How Inclusivity Affects the Church.
Jesus includes outcasts in his ministry, but does so to call them to repentance. Salvation involves following Jesus and observing his commands. Inclusion should not be confused with unconditional acceptance, as it can lead to losing the ability to call others to repentance. As Christians, we need to take care not to exclude any group from the message of salvation and the necessity of repentance. When we exclude others, we place artificial constraints on God and underestimate the power of the Gospel. Inclusion welcomes everyone to conform to the image of Jesus Christ.
