Spectator USA: Western Europe’s left-wing fascism fantasy
Western Europe’s left-wing fascism fantasy
Conservative parties in Italy, Spain, France, and Sweden are winning local elections and making significant gains. The left is losing its traditional bases, but instead of focusing on how to normalize the left, some politicians waste their time demonizing the opposition. The rise of socially conservative parties can also be attributed to voters rejecting radical progressivism. This shift has proven successful for parties such as Fratelli d’Italia and the National Rally. The left needs to embrace its traditional bases and address issues such as health and education to combat the rise of conservatism.

Todd informed viewers on Sunday's show that this is his final summer at Meet the Press. Todd has been criticized for his bias towards the Democratic Party and will not be missed.

The Epoch Times: Top Oversight Democrat Dismisses Investigation into Biden Bribery Charges, Alleging Political Motives
Top Oversight Democrat Dismisses Investigation into Biden Bribery Charges, Alleging Political Motives
Democrats dismiss Republicans’ investigation into bribery charges against President Joe Biden as politically motivated. Republicans are demanding access to a document alleging that Biden took a criminal bribe from a foreign national, but the specific charges in the document remain unclear because the FBI is reluctant to release it publicly. FBI Director Chris Wray has offered to let panel members see an unredacted version privately, but Republicans have asked for the document to be released to the full panel, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has echoed Rep. James Comer's (R-Ky.) threat to hold Wray in contempt of Congress if their demands aren’t met.

Breitbart: WSJ: California Spends Billions on Homelessness, with Little to Show
WSJ: California Spends Billions on Homelessness, with Little to Show
The state of California has spent billions of dollars addressing homelessness, but little progress has been made due to bureaucracy and residents who prefer to live on the street. The state has half of the nation's unsheltered homeless, about 115,000 people. High housing costs, drug addiction, mental illness, and the desire for freedom are contributing factors. Politicians are trying to address the issue, but some have called for drastic intervention by FEMA.

Breitbart: Zelensky Admits Fear of Trump 2024, Begs for More Patriot Systems
Zelensky Admits Fear of Trump 2024, Begs for More Patriot Systems
Ukrainian President Zelensky expressed fear about a possible return of Trump to the White House in 2024. He praised the response of the Biden administration but begged for more Patriot missile systems to protect against potential Russian invasion. He admitted that he was more comfortable with dealing with Biden and that the return of a Republican-led government could end up being difficult for his war effort. He also appeared uncomfortable with Donald Trump’s approach to the Ukraine War. The Ukrainian President requested 50 Patriot missile systems that would cost over a billion dollars each, ultimately dwarfing the value of what has already been committed by the United States.

The Federalist Papers: Bud Light Gets More Bad News, Lower Sales May Be Locked In Permanently Because of Shelve Space Changes
Bud Light Gets More Bad News, Lower Sales May Be Locked In Permanently Because of Shelve Space Changes
Bud Light's market share is threatened by dropping sales, with major retailers warning of replacement with more successful competitors. Sales have fallen 25% compared to last year due to a conservative backlash resulting from a marketing campaign featuring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light faces the possibility of losing shelf space to its competitors due to the biannual ‘reset’ of retail outlets' shelf space allocations based on sales data. The majority of beer sales take place at traditional retail outlets rather than bars and restaurants, making the shelf space matter pressing.

Utah School District Follows Bible Ban with Book of Mormon Review
A Utah school district is weighing whether the Book of Mormon should be removed from elementary and junior high school libraries after removing the King James Bible, due to alleged violence and vulgarity, as part of a law that permits the removal of books containing indecent material. The decision follows a broader concern over LGBTQ+ literature but has been used to remove anything deemed offensive by parents. So far, 81 removals have been made since the law was enacted, with 33 of them in Davis County.

Spectator USA: FIFA’s Women’s World Cup delusion
FIFA’s Women’s World Cup delusion
The upcoming women’s soccer World Cup in Australia and New Zealand is facing a broadcast deal blackout because some European countries have reportedly offered insultingly low bids. Italy has offered less than 1% of what its broadcasters paid for the men’s event in Qatar last year, and Germany just 3%. FIFA has threatened a blackout, while sports ministers of five countries have intervened to press for an agreement. Women’s soccer may be witnessing the true commercial worth of the sport, a fraction of the men’s, and the low bids reflect the likely audience and advertiser interest in the product. The losers in all this are the players, who may work as hard as their male counterparts but will never earn as much.

Women’s soccer hasn’t established the base of a pyramid yet: attendance at Women’s Super League games in the UK averages less than 7,000. Perhaps there may be a place for a different version of the game, with fewer prima donnas, stoppages, play-acting, and hyped matches, and players with a closer relation to the clubs and the fans they play for. Though it may no longer be a man’s world, it is still a man’s world cup.

Young Braves Get Younger With Promotion Of 20-Year-Old Pitcher
The Atlanta Braves are dominating their division with their young talent, dubbed the "Baby Braves." The team's secret may be their youth, with most of their regular players under 30 and a preference for promoting kids over signing veterans. The team's player development department has done a great job of indoctrinating new players to professional baseball.
