Breitbart: Five Greek Police Officers Arrested for Assisting Illegal Migrants
Five Greek border officers have been detained for allegedly helping at least 100 migrants enter the country from Turkey via the Evros River, and also working with people-traffickers who operated there. The Federalist Papers: Federal Government Warns Marijuana Users On Firearm, Ammunition Possession
Federal law prohibits cannabis users from owning firearms, even in states where marijuana has been legalized. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) issued a warning to Minnesota residents, emphasizing that marijuana remains categorized as an illegal substance on a federal level. As a result, individuals who use cannabis in any form are barred from possessing firearms and ammunition. The warning has prompted concerns from Second Amendment advocates, who are calling for federal guidance on how to reconcile the dichotomy between state and federal laws.

The Epoch Times: 21-Year-Old Sentenced to Almost Six Years Under National Security Law for a 2021 Bombing Plot
Six members of the Hong Kong self-proclaimed "revolutionary" group Returning Valiant were sentenced in May 2023 for planning bomb attacks on court buildings. They were high-school students when their prosecution began in 2021, and their charges involved the National Security Law. One defendant was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison and three younger defendants were sent to rehabilitation-focused training centers for up to three years. Sentencing of the remaining two defendants was delayed until September 27.
Returning Valiant, a post anti-extradition resistance group, appeared in January 2021 with street booths advocating for Mao-style revolutionary "uprising" in Hong Kong. They were dismantled by the police in July 2021, and the group's members encouraged Marx-style "revolution" to fight the Chinese Communist regime. The group of around 20 members, mostly high-school students, was sentenced for "conspiracy to subvert state power" and "conspiring to cause explosions likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property."

The Epoch Times: Zelenskyy Makes Grim Prediction, Claims Ukraine Ready for Counteroffensive
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy has warned of large casualties in a coming counter-offensive to re-capture Russian-held territory. Ukraine have acquired weapons from NATO and have better-motivated troops. Zelenskyy also speculated on what would've happened if Russia invaded Ukraine if Trump were still in power and announced that the 2024 elections may bring in an administration that may be more reluctant to send weapons and equipment to Ukraine.
Russia has claimed it damaged or destroyed Ukrainian airfields overnight. Reports of fighting in Russia's border region of Belgorod emerged as Kyiv prepares to mount a counteroffensive against Kremlin forces in Ukraine. Pro-Ukraine Russian fighters involved claim to have taken two Russian soldiers captive, calling for a meeting with the Belgorod governor and offering to exchange the captives. Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister reported that artillery shelling still goes on at levels similar to those at the height of the battle.
Breitbart: Quarter of Ukrainian Bomb Shelters Unusable or Locked, Say Officials
Over 250 air-raid shelters in Ukraine were found to be locked or unfit for use, sparking concerns around civilian safety. This follows the death of a woman in Kyiv who died outside a locked shelter during a Russian missile attack last week. Four people have been detained in a criminal probe into the woman's death, with officials facing up to eight years in prison for negligence. Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko reported receiving over a thousand complaints in a day regarding locked, dilapidated or insufficient air-raid shelters via an online feedback service. Inspections of Ukraine's air-raid shelters will continue, with over 5,300 volunteers involved in the process.
Russian shelling has killed at least four civilians in Ukraine in the past 24 hours, with a 9-year-old girl, her mother and another woman killed in a pre-dawn missile barrage on Kyiv. Elsewhere, at least six people were injured in shelling in the Dnipropetrovsk region, with one person rescued from a damaged residential building in the town of Podgorodnenska. Over in the Kherson region, two boys were hospitalised with "serious" injuries after an explosive device detonated in a village playground. Meanwhile, an elderly man was killed by a Russian mortar shell sitting outside his house in the west Sumy province. Regional authorities in Ukraine and Russia have made these claims, which cannot be independently verified.

The Epoch Times: War With China Over Taiwan Would Have ‘Devastating’ Impact, Defense Secretary Austin Says
The U.S. Secretary of Defense warned China that any conflict over Taiwan would have a "devastating" impact on the world. China sees Taiwan as part of its territory, and has recently increased incursions into Taiwan's air defense identification zone. Additionally, China's desire to gain control of Taiwan's semiconductor industry could have enormous economic consequences globally.
The Epoch Times: Senior US Official Visits China on Anniversary of Tiananmen Square Massacre
The U.S. State Department announced that Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink would be traveling to China on June 4 to discuss key issues in the bilateral relationship with CCP officials. Kritenbrink will raise human rights concerns and continue to advocate for fundamental freedoms in China. He will then deliver a speech at the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs Conference in Auckland on June 8 and participate in the U.S.-New Zealand Strategic Dialogue. Secretary of State Antony Blinken noted that the United States would be observing the upcoming 34th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and that the United States will continue advocating for people’s human rights and fundamental freedoms in China and around the world.
Kritenbrink’s visit comes after a secret China visit by CIA Director William Burns last month following a crisis over what President Joe Biden called a “silly balloon” that the United States alleged to be a spy balloon belonging to China. The White House is working to facilitate visits to China by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, as well as Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. Over the weekend, China still refused to hold military talks with U.S. officials at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore—Asia’s top security summit. Tensions are running high in the region.

The Epoch Times: AI Adoption Led to Nearly 4,000 Job Losses in May: Report
Nearly 4,000 American jobs were lost last month due to the increasing deployment of AI, which accounted for 4.86% of overall job cuts. Companies are increasingly exploring the potential of using AI and a survey showed that over 11% of companies were "looking into" using AI like ChatGPT in their HR operations, with implementing the tech as a tool to make employees more productive taking the top spot. Some major companies are already considering replacing workers with AI, with IBM's Arvind Krishna predicting that around 30% of their back-office functions will be replaced by AI in the next five years, potentially resulting in around 7,800 jobs being lost. Goldman Sachs economists have calculated that advances in AI technology may end up triggering shifts in workflows that could "expose the equivalent of 300 million full-time jobs to automation." The Resumebuilder.com survey found that 49% of companies already used ChatGPT while 30% plan on doing so, with 48% saying they were using the AI chatbot to replace workers, while 93% expected their use of the AI chatbot to expand. According to a Challenger, Gray & Christmas report, at least 4.8 million American jobs could be replaced by ChatGPT.

The Epoch Times: How to Eat Meat
Non-industrialized people have historically opted for fat-rich protein sources to avoid protein poisoning. These groups include the Bardi people of north Western Australia and the Eskimos of Canada and northern Indians, who selectively hunted for older animals with a lot of fat. Even African tribes selected fat-rich protein sources, such as fatty cow and pig skin, giant rat, and wart hog. Modern American dietary guidelines, however, revolve around lean meats and low-fat milk, neglecting the importance of animal fat, which provides the vitamin A necessary to utilize protein in the body. Low fat diets also risk vitamin A depletion in the body with potential severe consequences, such as blindness.
Fox News: Most US adults are declining COVID boosters as CDC warns of health risks: 'Relatively little protection'
A new study from the CDC suggests that adults who are behind on their COVID-19 vaccine booster doses may have little protection against hospitalization compared to those who haven’t been vaccinated at all. Researchers found that the durability of vaccine protection against severe COVID-19 outcomes was not great. Despite the CDC's recommendation that all vaccinated people 12 years and older should receive a booster dose, only 20.5% of US adults have received it.
"This study looked at the durability, or how long the bivalent mRNA vaccine protects people from hospitalization, and critical illness from COVID-19," says Dr. Shana Johnson. "Natural immunity confers a benefit, but the vaccine provides broader coverage, which protects against more variants." While COVID-19 cases and deaths continue to decline in the US, Dr. Marc Siegel warns that COVID is still with us, citing the "huge" outbreak currently happening in China.

The Epoch Times: Ford Recalls Nearly 143,000 Lincoln MKCs for Fire Risks
Ford has issued a recall on almost 143,000 Lincoln MKC compact SUVs due to an issue that could lead to under-the-hood fires, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issuing an urgent recall notice affecting 2015-2019 model-year MKCs. Owners are advised to keep their vehicles parked outside and away from buildings and other vehicles, as the issue is related to a potentially-damaged battery monitor sensor which is constantly powered, meaning a short circuit could occur even when the vehicle is off. Ford has a fix for the problem, for which it has received 19 reports, is sending instructions to dealerships, and will begin contacting customers from June 26.
