Townhall: Abortion and the Question of a Higher Law
Over 63 million babies have been killed by the abortion industry in 50 years, with taxpayer funding and government compliance . Regardless of one's position on the issue, it raises the question of whether anything that kills that many people should be questioned . Roe v. Wade has been overturned, and 15 states have banned or restricted abortion, but questions still remain . Medical textbooks affirm that life begins at conception , and DNA research shows that all elements of human life exist in zygotic cells . The Nuremberg Trials drew a parallel to the legal snuffing of 62 million lives in courtrooms with a plaque that read "In God We Trust" .
Breitbart: Axelrod: Biden's Approval on Economy 'Bad, Especially Relative to What He's Achieved' Due to Politics, Unease Largely 'Driven by Inflation'
David Axelrod, former Obama Adviser, appeared on CNN's "AC360," sharing that President Joe Biden's economic approval numbers are struggling due to polarization, a sense of unease, and inflation from the hangover of the pandemic. Despite significant achievements such as the bipartisan infrastructure deal, the Inflation Reduction Act, and a strong economy, Biden's approval ratings are stagnant due to deep polarization among voters. The President's numbers are expected to improve in the upcoming years as subsequent events determine whether he can increase his totals before the November 2024 election.
Townhall: If Joe’s a No-Go, Then Who?
Joe Biden is likely to get the Democratic Party's nomination again. Even if he can't, any other nominee would be a clone of him, as the far-left controls the party. There won't be any noticeable difference between any of the candidates, except maybe Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who has no chance of being selected. Other potential nominees include Marianne Williamson, Kamala Harris, Michelle Obama, Gavin Newsom, and others from the 2020 primaries, but none of them is appealing or has a chance of being elected. The Democratic Party is in disarray and resembles a hill of beans or a bunch of chirping chicks.
Breitbart: WH: DOJ Supporting ‘Challenges to State Laws’ that Ban Trans Athletes
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre affirmed the Biden Administration’s support for the queer agenda, mentioning the DOJ's challenge to state laws that prohibit transgender athletes from competing in girl's sports or ban transgender surgeries for minors. She affirmed the president's historic steps to protect LGBTQI+ civil rights. This comes as a record number of states have passed laws preventing transgender athletes from participating in girls’ sports or ban physicians performing “gender-affirming care'' on minors.

The Epoch Times: Rescuers at Site of Iowa Building Collapse Complete Search for Survivors, Move on to Recovery
Several people are feared dead after an Iowa apartment building partially collapsed. The Iowa task force has concluded its search for survivors with three people still missing. The building collapsed on Sunday in Davenport beneath the force of the collapse and unstable debris. An investigation will be launched into why neither the owner nor city officials warned residents about potential danger even after a structural engineer’s report issued last week indicated a wall of the century-old building was at imminent risk of crumbling. The remains of the apartment block could continue to fall and search officials are now focusing on securing the structure to begin recovery efforts.

Spectator USA: How Ireland stopped being fun
Ireland is placing health warnings and calorie counts on alcohol bottles, similar to cigarettes. The country once known for its proud drinking culture and fighting Irish is turning into a nanny state, reducing a cultural norm to a calorie count. Ireland's overly sensitive culture is now taking itself and its shibboleths too seriously, with hate crime bills and sex education classes that assume gender is a social construct. This cultural conformity is surprising for a small country with fewer diverse outlooks.
The Epoch Times: Texas Governor Signs Bill Banning Trans Surgeries, Hormone Therapies for Children
Texas outlaws medical procedures related to gender transitioning, reassignment, or gender dysphoria for children under 18. The law bans surgeries and use of public funds or assistance for such procedures. Doctors can only prescribe medication to stop puberty, or perform medically necessary procedures for genetic problems or chromosomal issues. There are exceptions for those undergoing non-surgical treatments prior to June 1, and those with prior mental health counseling or psychotherapy. Violators can be prosecuted by the attorney general. At least 16 other Republican-led states have implemented similar bans.

Townhall: A Bad Start For Pride Month
Over 3,500 local United Methodist Church (UMC) congregations have split due to disagreements around the UMC's stance on sexuality issues related to LGBTQ. Some Methodists believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God, and therefore cannot support the idea of same-sex marriages and transgender ideology. The issue is not about whether sinners should join the church, but whether churches should promote, affirm, and celebrate sin. The chasm within the United Methodist Church can be attributed to these truths. The movement to disaffiliate from the church is not over.
Spectator USA: Even anti-Putin Russian artists struggle in Europe
Russian musicians have been exiled and ostracized since the country's invasion of Ukraine last year. Pianist Denis Matsuev, as well as former LSO and Munich Philharmonic chief conductor Valery Gergiev, have been cut off from the West, along with other pro-Putin supporters. The Ukrainian artists' demand for the Russian excision from their programs shows the mass persecution for Russian musicians, leading many of them to become jobless and without prospects. Natalia Neumann, of Munich-based Neumann Artists, reported that 70% of her contracts were cancelled last year in both Russia and Europe.
The Epoch Times: More Than 230 Killed and 900 Hurt After 2 Trains Derail in India; Hundreds Still Trapped
Two trains derailed in eastern India, leaving more than 230 dead and some 900 hurt in one of the country's deadliest train crashes. Rescuers worked through the night to free passengers from more than a dozen mangled rail cars after the accident about 220 kilometers (137 miles) southwest of Kolkata. Indian railways are the largest train network under one management in the world. Despite government attempts to improve rail safety, several hundred accidents occur every year, with human error or outdated signaling equipment often blamed.
