Fox News: As Biden admin touts sharp drop in numbers post-Title 42, legal challenges loom
The Biden administration is seeing a short-term drop of over 70% in encounters at the southern border in the wake of the expiration of the Title 42 public health order. However, it is facing legal battles that are challenging key policies the administration has put in place, such as the “Circumvention of Lawful Pathways” rule. This rule presumes migrants to be ineligible for asylum if they have entered the U.S. illegally and have failed to claim asylum in a country through which they have already traveled. Three lawsuits have been filed in different courts across the county.
One lawsuit, filed by Texas, claims that neither the CBP One app nor officials ask whether the migrants they are letting in are claiming asylum. Should any of the three lawsuits be successful, it could dramatically change how the Biden administration exercises its powers at the border. In addition, the situation at the border remains precarious, and officials have warned against concluding that the numbers will stay low, with the summer months typically being some of the busiest.

The Federalist Papers: Ex Anheuser-Busch Exec Reveals How Companies Are Pressured to Go Woke: Follow The Money
Major investment firms like BlackRock and Vanguard are behind the push for companies to promote LGBTQ+ and other woke ideologies, according to former Anheuser-Busch executive Anson Frericks. These firms manage $20 trillion in capital, representing American mutual funds and state pension funds, and often have major political influence in liberal states like California and through politicians like former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. This raises concerns about the role of investment firms in forcing societal values onto businesses and potentially undermining democracy and individual freedom.

Fox News: Russia, China seek world power 'rebalancing' with G7-alternative: 'indispensable mechanism'
Foreign ministers from the BRICS countries - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - have announced their intention to rebalance global power, aiming for a "multipolar dynamic", which will include putting themselves at the centre of a new world order. The group discussed potential expansion of membership, sought further definition of an alternative currency to counter the effect of sanctions, and pledged that "old ways cannot address new situations." The meeting, which took place in South Africa, provided an opportunity to potentially expand the group's influence through invitations to Iran, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and Algeria, among others.
Russian President Vladimir Putin's alleged war crimes in Ukraine continue to overshadow summits involving South Africa, which has signed the 1998 Rome Statute, obliging it to arrest Putin as a war criminal if he visits the country for this, or any other meeting. South African officials considered obtaining diplomatic immunity for Putin to avoid the issue. Russia and China are building an alternative to the G7 in the form of the BRICS group, known for its member countries' focus on economic power.

Newsbusters: Progressive ‘Little Mermaid’ Not Woke Enough
Disney faces criticism from both the left and right for its new “Little Mermaid” film featuring a black heroine. Left-wing outlets such as HuffPost and Vulture complain that the film failed to be “woke” enough, while conservative voices accuse Disney of erasing slavery in the film’s Caribbean setting. Critics attack the film’s lack of “kink” and reluctance to deal with “systemic racism,” arguing that the diversity marketing campaign was merely cosmetic and failed to alter the fundamentally white perspective of the story. Some warn that “woke” pressure results in style over substance and undermines artistic vision.
The Epoch Times: US Turns Up Pressure on Air Bag Inflator Company That Refuses a Recall Despite Deaths, Injuries
The US government has ordered ARC Automotive to recall 67 million potentially dangerous air bag inflators due to injuries and fatalities. The inflators have been linked to at least two fatalities and seven injuries in the US and Canada since 2009, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is claiming that the company has failed to take appropriate measures. The agency has mandated that questions be answered under oath and is threatening fines if the company does not co-operate. The next steps are a final conclusion, public hearing and potential lawsuit.
