Liberty Nation: Hunter Biden and the Special Counsel Conundrum
Hunter Biden will not be facing charges related to his connection to Burisma and tax evasion, despite the efforts of US Attorney David Weiss to bring charges. He allegedly told witnesses that he was not allowed to bring charges against Biden anywhere except in Delaware, and when he requested special counsel status, he was denied. A whistleblower testified to the House Ways and Means Committee that Weiss said DC US Attorney Matthew Graves, a Biden appointee, would not allow Weiss to file charges against Hunter Biden in Graves’ district. If true, this means a thorough criminal investigation into Hunter Biden’s connections to Burisma, which may have included a bribe to him and his father, was taken off the table by the DOJ.
Garland appears to be avoiding probing the Bidens and appointing a special counsel to investigate would likely not result in uncovering any criminal activity. Jack Smith, who is heading up the prosecution of Trump for mishandling classified documents, has requested that Trump’s trial be postponed until December to make the trial a media headline in the midst of the presidential primaries and caucuses. Republican investigators intend to speak with the witnesses who were present when Weiss allegedly revealed how the DOJ tied his hands. If Shapley’s claims are corroborated, Garland will be facing perjury allegations and possible impeachment.
Red State: Julie Su's Contentious Labor Secretary Nomination Appears to Have Reached a Dead End in the Senate
Julie Su, a questionable labor official, was promoted by President Biden to be interim Secretary of Labor while awaiting confirmation from the Senate. Despite her nomination passing through committee, Su's appointment has yet to be brought to a vote due to opposition from Republicans and moderate Democrats. This has frustrated several groups, including business organizations and Senator Tim Kaine, who has lobbied for a vote. The White House continues to push for Su's confirmation, though it remains uncertain whether it will happen or whether the nomination will be withdrawn.
The Federalist: Biden Admin Expanded Efforts To Censor 'Malinformation'
The Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has been accused of becoming the nerve center for the federal government's domestic surveillance and censorship operations. The House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government claims that since 2018, CISA has steadily expanded the scope of its censorship while disguising its activities to avoid criticism. The agency outsourced its censorship regime to third-party nonprofits and used connections with Big Tech to circumvent the First Amendment's prohibition against government-induced censorship. The government's disinformation efforts include the censorship of malinformation, defined by CISA as factual information provided without adequate "context," as determined by the government. The House subcommittee warned that it will continue to investigate CISA's and other executive branch agencies' involvement with social media platforms.
Liberty Nation: The Republican Presidential Primary Spawns a VP Beauty Pageant
13 candidates are running for the Republican presidential nomination, despite Donald Trump dominating the field. Many candidates are auditioning to be Trump's running mate, as they believe it will bring prestige and book deals. Those who could potentially strengthen Trump's appeal to minorities include Tim Scott, Larry Elder, Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haley and Francis Suarez. Meanwhile, Doug Burgum, Corey Stapleton and Chris Christie are also candidates. The increasing number of longshot candidates splitting up the non-Trump vote ensures Trump's victory, and few of the 2016 candidates are looking for anything but the presidential nomination.

Fox News: Fire in the United Arab Emirates engulfs high-rise residential building
A fire broke out in a high-rise building in Ajman, UAE, before being brought under control. No injuries have been reported. Videos showed the building engulfed in flames, with debris falling to the street below. The cause of the fire is unknown, but the UAE has seen similar incidents in recent years attributed to flammable cladding on high-rise structures.
The UAE has reportedly experienced many similar high-rise fires in the past. An upscale hotel complex close to the Burj Khalifa caught fire on New Year's Eve 2015, injuring 15 people. The authorities blamed exposed wiring. Regulations requiring the replacement of cladding with flame-resistant materials were imposed as a result. The cause of the Ajman fire has not yet been determined.
The Federalist: Small-Town Librarians Slip Drag Books Into Children’s Program
A library in a conservative county near a leftist university in Georgia faced backlash for scheduling a story time featuring the RuPaul biography as part of their summer reading program for children. Even drag queens have noted that drag is not appropriate for children, yet the library presents RuPaul as a role model for young children. The left's view of children allows them to push their agenda of normalizing adult sexual behavior on children.
American Thinker: Think you can!
In the style of Raymond Chandler, here's a brief summary about how positive thinking is key to success and how it applies to combat and civilian life. "Think you can, and you will." These simple words by Henry Ford are more relevant now than ever before. The victim culture that blames others for their failures is poisoning our country. Your attitude is key to success. Combat taught me that beliefs and attitudes are contagious. Achieving success requires believing in oneself and surrounding oneself with positive people. Positive thinking is a game-changer in every aspect of life.

Forbes: German Economy Shrinks Faster Than Expected
The German economy is showing signs of weakness as the Ifo Business Climate index dropped to 88.5 in June from 91.5 in May, and the manufacturing PMI fell to 41 in June. The country's decision to decommission nuclear power plants in 2011 has increased energy prices, weighing on economic growth. Despite calls to disconnect with China, Germany is looking to maintain a positive trade relationship with the country, which will be good for its business leaders.

Putin did not mention any consequences for those involved in the mutiny.
Daily Wire: Prigozhin Issues First Statement Since Attempted Rebellion In Russia
Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of the Wagner paramilitary group, denies aiming to overthrow the Russian government, calling their demonstration a protest about injustice. Prigozhin warns that his soldiers will refuse to sign contracts with the Russian government and may be allowed to operate in Belarus. Some predict Wagner will cease following Putin's order for private mercenary groups to sign government contracts in July, and the group has been criticized for committing war crimes and exploiting natural resources. Prigozhin previously served nearly a decade in prison for robbery and fraud before running a catering business that secured contracts with the Russian government, functioning as a front for laundering government money to Wagner.
