Forbes: ‘Just Another Hoax’: Trump Brushes Off Leaked Audio Of Him Discussing Classified Iran Docs
Former President Donald Trump dismisses leaked audio of him discussing a "highly confidential, secret" document on a potential U.S. attack on Iran as a "hoax" that exonerates him. In the tape, produced by CNN, papers can be heard rustling in the background as if he was showing the documents to people. Justice Department prosecutors cited the tape in their indictment against Trump on 37 counts related to his handling of classified documents after leaving office, and said it represents one of at least two occasions when he showed confidential documents to people without proper security clearance.
Breitbart: Jordan Blasts Blinken's Response on Letter Undermining Hunter Biden Story
Congressman Jim Jordan is dissatisfied with Secretary of State Blinken's response to demands regarding Blinken's role in a statement by 51 former intelligence officials casting doubt on the Hunter Biden story in 2020. Jordan accused Blinken of deflecting responsibility and called for Congress to use all available options to get to the truth. Blinken's attorney rejected Jordan and Turner's demands regarding the statement. In a letter, the attorney disputed the chairmen's proposals and reiterated Blinken’s public position that he “did not solicit” the statement.
The Epoch Times: Peter Menzies: Intolerance for Contrary Opinions Is Pushing Canada Closer to the Future Orwell Predicted
The Canadian government is seeking complete control over all audio, visual, and online content, with the CRTC having sweeping powers over newsrooms and speech criminalization under consideration. The Online Streaming Act and Online News Act are part of this totalitarian shift, and the criminalization of denying Canada's troubled history of the Indian Residential Schools is being pondered. This thinking is indicative of a shift to controlling thought, with anyone holding different views being silenced or punished. Justin Trudeau's government has an alarming command and control instinct, and its measures pose a threat to freedom of speech and liberal democracy.
The New American: Convention of States: Misreading the Constitution or Misleading the People? - The New American
The Convention of States (COS) is wrong to claim that "the American people" can rein in the federal government via Article V. This is because Article V grants to Congress a significant role in the amendments process and the people are not mentioned. Instead, the people can use nullification, or interposition, as the surest and safest way to restore the states to their rightful role. Nullification is quicker and explicitly supported by the 10th Amendment. The people have much greater influence over the election of their state lawmakers than those in D.C. Furthermore, there is no necessary delay in interpretation and initiation as there would be with a call for an Article V Convention, and there is no need to run the risk inherent in a convention of states where the representatives may or may not have the virtue, wisdom, foresight, and devotion to liberty as those who wrote the Constitution in 1787.
Daily Wire: DeSantis And Trump Take Different Positions Over Whether House Should Impeach AG Merrick Garland
Trump and DeSantis have taken different positions on the potential impeachment of U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy suggested impeachment proceedings over allegations that Garland interfered with a criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. While Trump declined to get involved, DeSantis supported Republican efforts to impeach Garland.
The Epoch Times: FEC Commissioner Says 'Content Moderation' Needed to Prevent AI-Generated Election Misinformation
FEC Commissioner Ellen Weintraub is calling for tech giants to control their content to stop disinformation campaigns that exploit AI technology. Weintraub believes tech companies created an AI "monster," that will be difficult to control. She suggests these companies should adopt stricter content moderation policies to prevent the spread of any fake news surrounding the election period. Governments worldwide are struggling to balance individual liberty and the threat posed by fake or misleading information. Recently, the US has been probing multiple allegations of unconstitutional behavior, including the use of content moderation policies as a tool for censors and surveillance.
Breitbart: McCaskill: 'It Is Just Amazing How Stupid' Trump Is
Claire McCaskill criticized Donald Trump's intelligence after he claimed he had the right to take classified documents. She compared his intelligence to that of a criminal. She also said that a courtroom is a treacherous territory for Trump because everything is stripped away and only the facts remain.
Breitbart: Liz Cheney: Our Politics Created a Situation Where 'We're Electing Idiots'
Former Rep. Liz Cheney spoke at an event in New York City where she said the US is "electing idiots" and called for the election of serious people regardless of party. Political commentator Margaret Hoover agreed, noting the closed partisan primary process as part of the problem. She highlighted the success of Republicans who survived the last election and voted to convict Trump as coming from states with more open primary processes.
The New American: Article V Expert Robert Brown Debunks Mark Levin with Madison’s Letters - The New American
Constitutional expert Robert Brown fact-checks Mark Levin's support for an Article V convention and James Madison's stance on nullification. In a 34-minute interview with Christian Gomez of The New American, Brown provides a PowerPoint presentation and examines Madison's letters, revealing what the Founding Father truly thought about the convention and nullification.
The Blaze: 'What's a Uyghur?' GOP presidential candidate who sounded clueless when asked about Uyghurs says he is actually 'well aware' of the issue
Miami Mayor and Republican presidential primary candidate Francis Suarez was unaware of the Uyghur issue during an interview with talk radio show host Hugh Hewitt. The mayor claimed to be familiar with the issue after Hewitt's tweet called him out. Suarez is a long shot for the GOP presidential nomination and has promoted climate alarmism.
PJ Media: KDJ Happy Hour Update: Bud Light, Hunter Biden, and Merrick Garland Race to See the Titanic
Bud Light has experienced a 28.5% drop in sales due to its advertising campaign featuring "trans on a can" which was mocked by Kid Rock and others. In an attempt to revive sales, the beer company has sponsored the Pride parade in Toronto, which drew criticism due to potentially inappropriate displays.

Red State: Speaker Kevin McCarthy's Evaluation of Trump's 2024 Presidential Bid Ignites Debate Among Republicans
House Speaker McCarthy evaluated Trump's chances in the 2024 election and criticized Biden's policies. After facing criticism from Steve Bannon, McCarthy clarified his comments, citing poll numbers that show Trump beating Biden by 3 points in a hypothetical general election. Despite McCarthy's previous comments blaming Trump for the Capitol riot, he has remained a loyal supporter. Within the GOP conference, skepticism regarding Trump festers, causing issues for the Speaker. McCarthy has not endorsed anyone yet but may do so in the future.
Daily Wire: Franklin Pierce: A Torn President in a Torn Country
Franklin Pierce's presidency destabilized the peace between the North and South due to his support for protecting slavery. After graduating from college in 1824, he quickly began his political career and became the youngest member of the Senate in 1837. Pierce's controversial stance on slavery earned him support from Southern colleagues and propelled him to national prominence as the 14th president. In office, he shepherded the Kansas-Nebraska Act, which led to violence between pro- and anti-slavery factions and further divided the country.
The New American: Michigan LGBT-enabling Hate Crime Bill Would Criminalize Speech Based on FEELINGS - The New American
A Michigan House bill would amend the state’s Ethnic Intimidation Act of 1988 to make it easier for prosecutors to bring "hate crime" charges against dissident speech. The bill would consider it a hate crime if a person is accused of causing “severe mental anguish” to another individual by means of perceived verbal intimidation or harassment. Terms like “intimidate and harass” can be redefined by whoever is in power and make a mockery of law. The bill tramples the First Amendment while catering to groups with a strong tendency to exaggerate the criticism they face. It may be a feature and not a bug as nothing "threatens a ruling class like free speech."
Leftist legislators focus on feelings because they themselves are emotion-driven. Thus, they wouldn’t need a well-calculated agenda to enact a de facto hate-speech law. To combat violence, you stiffen penalties for violence, an act. It shouldn't be hard to resist lectures about speech's "dangerousness" from people who believe in revolving-door justice for smash-and-grab criminals. Conservatives should not seek the expansion of hate-crime law but its rescission with the valid rallying cry that it represents Big Brother thought control. Accepting the criminalization of adults' speech in any context brings us closer to the criminalization of it in every context.

The New American: Big Apple Takes Aim at Pizzerias With Coal or Wood Ovens - The New American

This proposed rule is expected to affect fewer than 100 businesses and has been roundly criticized on social media.
The Epoch Times: Male and Female are Naturally a Perfect Match
The transgender industrial complex (TIC) aims to subvert natural gender and language, but traditional male-female relationships are the foundation of society. Healthy families are necessary for children to grow and flourish, while the TIC leads to perdition, with greed and power taking precedence over the long-term wellbeing of minors. The TIC withholds crucial information about the effects of gender transitioning, but people are fighting back against its devious agenda and taking proactive measures to protect the nation's children.
Fox News: Prince Christian of Denmark declines royal pension he was expected to receive on 18th birthday
Prince Christian of Denmark will delay accepting his royal pension from the government, focusing on completing his education instead until he turns 21. The 17-year-old prince, second in line to the Danish throne behind his father Frederik, Crown Prince of Denmark, will only accept the funding entitled to him if there is a change of throne or once he is 21. The decision was announced by the Danish Royal House, which added that it was agreed that the prince's main priority should be to finish his studies.
The Queen of Denmark's grandson, Prince Christian, who will be 18 in October, will focus on his studies until he is at least 21 and forgo his royal pension. Christian's grandmother is Margrethe II, who has been on Denmark’s throne for over 50 years. Last year, controversy surrounded the decision that Christian's four young cousins would no longer be called prince or princess. Christian has two younger siblings and is currently only involved in a limited capacity with official royal duties.

The Epoch Times: Why We Should Not Be Diverted by the Wagner Comic Opera
The recent mutiny of Russia's Wagner Group contractors in Ukraine was over money and the end of their lucrative contract, causing them to lose their quasi-independent status and integrate into the formal military or separate units controlled by the Ministry of Defense. This event was no strategic threat to Putin's presidency or the Russian Armed Forces, unlike historical military mutinies, such as the French troops' mutiny in 1917 or India's Sepoy Mutiny of 1857-59. The Russian Armed Forces will likely focus on streamlining operations in Ukraine and undertake a renewed military push, with a potential spotlight on the performance of Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.

National Review: Republicans Urge Blinken to End Science and Technology Cooperation with China
Republicans are urging the U.S. Secretary of State not to renew a scientific and technological cooperation agreement with China, claiming that China uses civilian research partnerships for military purposes. The agreement is set to expire this year and was originally signed by President Jimmy Carter. The group of Republican representatives cited examples of Chinese collaboration with the U.S. that may have been used to subvert American sovereignty. They argue that the U.S. should end the agreement and not fuel its own destruction.
The Epoch Times: Ottawa Seeking to Attract Tech Talent Through 'Digital Nomad' Strategy
Canada plans to launch a digital nomad strategy to attract more foreign workers in the STEM fields, enabling them to work in Canada for up to six months and spend money in the country, said Immigration Minister Sean Fraser at a tech conference in Toronto on June 27. He announced six new policy changes to open new pathways to permanent residency for entrepreneurs and speed up work permit processing to two weeks. He also said the startup visa program would increase from 1,000 to 3,500 per year and priority would be given to those with "committed capital" or endorsement from a trusted partner. Temporary foreign workers with valid work permits but no study permits can also enroll in education programs without limits on study programs’ length.

The Epoch Times: Federal Agency Reveals How Massive the COVID Fraud Actually Is
COVID-19 relief programs, including the Paycheck Protection Program and COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan, were found to have potentially been defrauded to the tune of tens of billions of dollars, according to a watchdog's report. About 17% of funds distributed through these programs may have been obtained by criminals or through fraudulent applications, with the fraud estimate for the Loan program being over $136 billion and $64 billion for Paycheck Protection. Although more than 1,000 indictments, 800 arrests, and 500 convictions have been made, only $30 billion has been returned out of the stolen funds.
The Epoch Times: Monetary Restraint and Stock Prices: The Disconnect
Recent changes in monetary policy by the Federal Reserve have led to a disconnect between money and stock prices. While fixed-income markets have responded normally to the shift in policy, stock prices have been abnormal, with investors seemingly anticipating a rapid decline in inflation and the end of monetary restraint. This unusual development suggests cautionary warnings for investors, as assumptions about future strong gains and declining inflation may be unfounded. The main impact of monetary restraint is yet to be felt, and tax receipts to the Treasury indicate the economy may be weaker than it appears. Investors should consider a defensive position towards stocks.
Flag And Cross: Watch: Portnoy Goes on Epic Rant Against 'Pink-Haired, Crazy Liberal' for NYC's Absurd Pizza Law
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection has proposed new rules that would force owners of pizzerias with coal- and wood-fired ovens to buy expensive emission-control devices. Founder of Barstool Sports, Dave Portnoy, criticized the “little liberal arts, Ivy League, pink-haired, crazy liberal” and tweeted an updated version of Patrick Henry’s cry: “Give us pizza or give us death!” Another Twitter user, Scott LoBaido, protested the new rules by throwing pizza over the gate of New York’s city hall. A clip of LoBaido’s protest appeared in Portnoy’s video.
The Epoch Times: China’s Reach for More Economic Stimulus Amounts to a Confession of Failure
Beijing is admitting failure in its "zero-COVID" campaign's economic policies, as recent stimulus packages suggest. Despite setting a low 5 percent growth target for 2023, the COVID-19 lockdowns and quarantines' lift led to consumer spending, although economic weaknesses remained and have only grown more prominent after the previous policies had failed. The country has had to roll out a new stimulus package and cut benchmark interest rates to encourage investment by private businesses and increase borrowing and lending among consumers. In addition, Beijing must rely on central government financing to fund new infrastructure spending, revealing its success chances to fall short of the 5 percent real growth target for 2023.

Fox News: Biden's Joint Chiefs chairman nominee accused of 'race-based' hiring in military by conservative group

Brown, the first Black man to lead any branch of the US military, has been vocal in his belief that the military should actively elevate diverse candidates to key positions. While Brown has received bipartisan support, AAF and Republican opponents of diversity policies are using his past statements to question his appointment as the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman .

The Epoch Times: A Functional Approach to Osteoporosis and Bone Health
Chronic inflammation causes osteoporosis; diet, stress, and environmental toxins contribute to it. Women over 50 are at higher risk, but men and younger women can also suffer. Oxidative stress, sedentary lifestyle, and chronic stress lead to low bone density, weakness, and fractures. A comprehensive stool test, hormone level analysis, and total toxin burden tests can identify the root cause. The functional approach through nutrient-dense foods, supplements, omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, exercise, stress management, and reducing toxic load can help prevent osteoporosis.

Foreign Policy: Global Deforestation Accelerated in 2022
World Brief reports on a bleak future for global deforestation after a report from the World Resources Institute in conjunction with the University of Maryland showed the destruction of more than 10 million acres of forest in 2022, producing 2.7 gigatons of carbon dioxide. International efforts to achieve zero deforestation by 2030, a pledge made by 145 nations at COP26, are already facing monumental challenges, given the lack of financial liberties available to local communities and difficulties in achieving economic opportunity, said Laura González Mantecón, a climate adaptation and reforestation fellow at the U.S. Forest Service. Countries with the highest levels of deforestation in 2022, such as Brazil and the Democratic Republic of Congo, also have high levels of poverty and financial instability.
