New York Knicks player, Josh Hart, and the team have agreed to push back the deadline for him to opt in or out of his $12.9 million option for next season. The delay suggests that the team is trying to figure out what their cap space looks like before making any big moves. If Hart opts out and re-signs with the Knicks for $17-18 million, the team will be over the luxury tax and unable to use their non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which would prevent them from adding additional talent.

Two zones are most at risk: much of Nebraska, northern Kansas, northwestern Missouri, and southwestern Iowa, and central Appalachians.
